oh... it's every 2 years...Next expo isn't until 2019 not next year.
Correctoh... it's every 2 years...
Correct
all I will say on that matter is this: no one is denying that pirates were awful to women auctioning them off. we just arent depicting that aspect anymore just like we dont show murder either. The two crimes are on the same level. Its still an issue in todays society. furthermore it was just demeaning. someone once made the point that a splash mountain shirt isnt racist just because of song of the south. we wants the redhead tshirts are sexist. they are. its not that its from pirates that makes its so they took the most demeaning part of the ride and made a shirt out of it to be celebrated. it needed to go.I'm fine with the parks changing. But I'd rather get rid of a ride than make it worse for no reason.
Discussed the new frozen short today as well as a little frozen 2.Any frozen set at d23?
Any frozen set at d23?
I did. I absolutely love The Golden Girls!I'm assuming no; but, did anyone go to the Golden Girls exhibition/panel (not sure what to call it)?
What did it entail? Give us the deets!I did. I absolutely love The Golden Girls!
Hah I just noticed you said excite instead of excited. Was that a typo or on purpose? My friends and I say excite instead of excited.

Multiple threads in different forums from both genders have shown this to be an extreme minority opinion. There was *NO* need to change the ride, the we want the redhead threads are *NOT* sexist and continuing to argue against the vast majority adds no validity to the argument. And that's all I'll say on the matter as this is straying off topic.
Chuck is a good guy and a dis contributor.HuffPo getting in on the speculation now. Lordy! They've got high hopes!

You are correct - there was *no* need to change it - but there was also *no* need for it to stay the same forever either. It's a scene in a ride in a theme park and Disney did what they felt was best for business and their image
If Marty Sklar will stand up to defend it (as he did today in the Pirate's panel) then that is good enough for me

People booed? Again, ugh, people are the worst.Agreed...and I will ONLY comment because this is D23 related. I was APALLED to hear that some idiots booed Marty. He is LITERALLY one of the biggest Disney legends alive...also, he's in his 80s. Good Lord, people! Have some respect for EVERYTHING that man has done. We can all speculate about what Walt would have wanted. But, there are VERY few people alive that can speak to what he wanted, and his true vision...and Marty Sklar is in that elite group!
