"Official" 2015 MNSSHP thread

We are going to the Halloween party on the 25th during our son's Make A Wish trip. I have a copy of the party Map from last year and I am wondering if it stays pretty much the same year to year, so I can plan, or will it be totally different?

Jack is one of his FAVES but I am not sure I want to wait in line for 2 hours, hes 4,. Do you think the wait will be that long at the early parties also?

Have you asked the Wish coordinators about help with the party lines?

No I haven't. I did ask if we could buy tickets for the party from Give Kids the World since they have tickets for lots of other things, but they said that they don't have them and Make a Wish can't get them for us. I know we will have the special pass from Give Kids the World but I didn't think we would be able to use that at the party also.

FWIW, at the last party we were at, we met Back with literally zero wait after the second parade. We watched from the side of the street closest to Adventureland in Frontierland. As soon as the parade passed, we cut through Adventureland. We were only trying to get to the front of the park ASAP to exit before the parade got to Town Square, but when we walked by Jack, no one was waiting for him, so we walked right up to him.

FWIW, at the last party we were at, we met Back with literally zero wait after the second parade. We watched from the side of the street closest to Adventureland in Frontierland. As soon as the parade passed, we cut through Adventureland. We were only trying to get to the front of the park ASAP to exit before the parade got to Town Square, but when we walked by Jack, no one was waiting for him, so we walked right up to him.

Good to know. He's the last of the "big" MNSSHP M&Gs we've never done. We might try this strategy this year. Thanks!

It'd be great if we can do that. However, the second parade starts at 11:15 and then takes around 15 min to finish. That leaves us at 11:30. Based on the calendar, Elsa, Mickey, and the Princesses all end their meet at 11:30 so it may be the same thing with Jack. Plus, he's at the Circus this year which seems further away than Town Square but I could be wrong

I think he's talking about Captain Jack Sparrow, he meets in Adventureland near Pirates of the Caribbean. Jack and Sally are being moved to Storybook Circus this year.

I'm trying to come up with a plan for the party... one kid wants to meet the dwarves and one wants to meet Jack and Sally. I thought that at around 5:30ish I would get in line for the dwarves and my mom can get in line for Jack and Sally and we will try to get both done at once. Does that sound doable?

So has anyone else seen the supposed map for this year? I have seen it, but will not repost it since it is not yet known to be official. The biggest thing I noticed is that there is no waffle listed in the treats section. Just the candy corn ice cream and a few cupcakes. No specific character info (which is normal) and timing of events were all listed in agreement with the times on the website.

That little tidbit of information about the waffles makes the dessert party easier to swallow.

What do you bring on party day? Here's my list but I'm trying to determine if I should cut back a few items

1. Sunscreen
2. Sunglasses
3. Hat
4. Eyedrops, very dry eyes
5. Makeup (concealer, lipstick, mirror)
6. Kleenex tissue
7. Emergency kit (bandaid, safety pins, bobby pins, mini pair of scissors, needle, small spool of blue thread)
8. Camera, batteries, memory cards
9. Cellphone
10. MNSSHP hard ticket, just in case
11. 1/2 a bottle of water
12. Dental floss
13. Poncho
14. Food/snacks to eat while in line
15. Schedule
16. Magic Band

Am I missing anything, like extra socks or flip flop in case of rain?

No waffles? Forget it. I'm not going.............psyche. Of course,we changed our party day meal at BOG to 12:25 instead of 1:30 and that will be our last formal "meal" of the day. I'll be looking for yummies to eat that evening and I have a feeling it'll be a pork shank from Gaston's and a bunch of sugary crap....which will be a duplicate of our dinner from MVMCP in 2012. lol

Can you bring in bottled water and if so, doesn't it have to be unopened? If that is true then you will need a FULL bottle of water

I usually bring my personal refillable water bottle with no issues, so no, it does not need to be unopened.

It was posted on Facebook in a private group, and the photos were somewhat small. Not super easy to read. Lol

The character info is the main item of interest, and the official map doesn't have that info anyway.
