"Official" 2015 MNSSHP thread

Can't wait for the party! I'm still debating on dressing up - I'm going on a solo trip and while I've always wanted to dress up as Tinkerbell, I'm not confident about sitting on the bus myself all dressed up before other people in costumes start showing up around me!
Lots of people will be dressed up on the buses starting around 3pm. :)

Dress up. I dressed up solo for two parties last year. It's actually a great ice breaker for talks on the buses. And it's a lot of fun.

Have no idea what we are going to dress up as. We had a big debate today over it. I want to go as Doctor Who characters but my niece wants to go 100% Disney. LOL. Also, I have a question about entry on party nights. I have a physical, plastic ticket but my tickets are also linked to my magic band. Will I need to take the physical ticket with me when we go back to the park that evening? Also, I read somewhere they give you wristbands..is that accurate?

It took us forever to decide on costumes. In the past, we've always had an easy time coming up with a family theme, but this year, the kids had their own opinions. The final decision was Villains and Henchmen. So, my son is dressing as Captain Hook, and I'll be Smee. My daughter will be Cruella De Vil and my husband will be Horace Badun.

If you need a shirt and you have a Target nearby, they had a perfect Smee shirt in the women's department. It was only $6...

Do it! What other time can you wear a costume at Disney World? You have always wanted to dress up as Tinker Bell and this is where dreams come true!

Was just hoping that someone could confirm this for me. If I am dressed up will I bet let into the park before 7?

I'm going solo as well (first party on September 15) and was thinking the same thing....however, I did Expedition Everest last year and dressed up as well - most people on the bus were not, but when I got to the pre-race area there were tons of people in costume :)

We are going to be there for a full day and have tickets for the night. We are going to be in costume shirts. I think one kiddo has a cape attached to his shirt. My two will not do full costumes. There are no masks, face paint etc... My oldest will have a helmet though. Cosplay handmade. I have been there other times of the year and seen tour groups in Hello Kitty Dresses so I do not think this would be an issue. But to just put it out there would it be? Example, my youngest is Thor.

You should be fine. If your youngest is under 10, they can be in full costume anytime of day.

This is kind of off topic a tad, but we were at Kroger's yesterday and they had out some Disney halloween themed mugs. One, was Goofy (Frankenstein) and it said Boo to You....So I bought it lol! There were others, Mickey, Minnie, Group one etc. But the Goofy was the only one that said Boo to You. And as we love MNSSHP, I thought it was an awesome "reference."

Thanks! That's a bummer...DF cannot eat chocolates and apple slices are his favorite!
You can trade your bag of candy in for healthier/non-allergenic treats at Guest Services. I don't know what exactly they have there, though.

Geesh. If this is correct, MNSSHP is pretty light on villains. Hopefully those "unknown Liberty Square" locations will have some bad guys.

I guess it makes planning and getting the characters we want easy. Cruella being so out of the way will be a bit of an issue, but other than that, everyone we want to meet (just the Dwarfs and Jack Sparrow) should be easy to fit into one night. No second party for us!

Yeah now we can get more excited! Maybe I can get a magic band this year! Last year I couldn't because the magic band charging was down!!

So our latest plan is to see the first Villains show at 8pm, then try to stay in that same spot in the hub for the parade. Do you think this is doable, or will we end up getting shuffled out of the way and losing our spot? Also, any idea what time we should get there for the first show?

And some character info.

His Cruella location is different than what was stated in the DPB. I've asked for clarification. I'll post if he replies.
