"Official" 2015 MNSSHP thread

All I need is a photo with the Hag!! LOL. Is she crowded? Thanks

Wait time for her is 5-20 min, according to Kenny the Pirate. No need to worry. FYI, she does not bring apples this year so if you want one in the photo, you have to bring it yourself

Looking for some Halloween Merchandise
Has anyone seen the lonesome ghost mugs or the vampire mickey popcorn buckets?

MK does have the poison apple mug in frontierland and also found the lonesome ghost popcorn bucket in frontierland. Anyone seen them at other parks?

Hi, We will be at the party on 10/25. We are going into MK in the morning on a day ticket from about 9am-noon. We are then planning on going back to our room at the poly to rest and get ready for the party. My DD5 has a BBB appointment at 4:10pm. So I am wondering what time you think we should be back in the park? I am thinking I'd like to be entering MK about 3:45. Would it be better to go in through the area where party guests enter or should we just go in through the regular non party entrance? ( I thought I read that they had party guests all enter on one side of the tapstiles). If we enter in the non party area, where would we get our party bracelets in the park? We will primarily be in fantasyland from 4-7pm so I am wondering if there is a pick up area in FL somewhere. We also have the dessert party book and my understanding for that is that we pick up the lanyards for that when we enter the park so I am hoping to grab those around 3:45. Can they give us our bracelets there? Sorry for all the questions but I'm just trying to figure out how this will work.

Hi all - so I was supposed to travel to Orlando in Nov for work, and that trip just got cancelled. Unfortunately, I already bought a ticket for the Halloween party Nov 1st. It says "non-refundable" and "non-transferrable"...is that true? Thanks!
That is true.

Question - if you TOT as an adult with no children present, will the CM give you less candy? :charac2:

I'm inclined to say yes, based on personal experience. Again it depends on the location and CM, but I did notice often when it was a child the CM would grab candy with their whole hand vs grabbing some with their fingers for myself and other adults - which I'm totally fine with! TOT at Disney is just a fun extra thing for me.

I tried to start reading thru this whole post and I am no where close so forgive me if this was asked, has anyone posted pics of Halloween merchandise (I did see pics of the popcorn and drink cups)? Also, I ordered my tickets after booking my package so I have separate tickets that are not linked to a magic band. Are you able to buy the Special Edition magic bands before your party date and have the credit card looking ticket somehow linked to it? My tickets I got are all like a credit card, 6 total.

I concur!

Seems like CMs are VERY poorly informed. You can't trust them for anything! We were walking up to the hub as an announcement ended that I didn't catch (and I hadn't checked the time in awhile so I didn't know what time it was) so I asked the nearest CM what the announcement was and he said it was for the start of the Hocus Pocus show in 5 minutes. HA. Turns out it was Celebrate the Magic. I figured that out real quick!

I LOVE the Boo To You parade. It's my favorite parade. But man, does it get crowded. We were in the front row but kept getting pushed from ALL sides. We had our double stroller behind us and the four of us were standing in front of it and I was getting run over by it! I looked back and saw a mother ADVISING her tween daughter to push her way to the front!!! I was appalled. She apparently didn't notice that we had two small kids between me and DH and was dumb enough to think that we just had a huge space between us with no people. I turned around and firmly but politely informed her there was no room for her. She gave up. Sheesh. Some people just have to be put in line. Pun intended.

My thoughts exactly. I went one year and one week earlier last year and it was SO much better. We had such a blast it was why we came again in September, so we could attend MNSSHP again. Well, this was our last. Based on the attractions we did/saw, it cost us $23 per attraction! Except for the parade and maybe fireworks, it is SO not worth that price. We will happily move our trip to a time with better weather, even if it means dealing with similar crowds - this sure ain't low season like it used to be.

I have to agree. We went 9/27. While the party was made a bit more challenging by the bad weather, it still was just ridiculously crowded. It is tough to enjoy the event with such crowds. We have attended in September in 2011 and 2013 and were very disappointed at how much more crowded it was this year. It is clear that Disney is capitalizing on the popularity by simply selling more tickets and cramming more people into the event. As much as we enjoy Halloween and have loved the MNSSHP in the past, I am not sure we will attend again any time soon. Sadly, we have found this to be true as well with the MVMCP as well as it has gotten progressively more crowded each year (ridiculously crowded last year as well).

wow is it busy in mkright now had a cm not to happy with me cause someone wanted a pic of my costume i said fine then she decided to pose her kids it was quite awkard... may not be a good idea towear such an elaborate codtume this eary on

Last year we filled our bags (larger than the ones they handed out) after two ToT stops. This year it took us about 5-8 mins being yelled at through the Tiki line to get 2 tootsie rolls and a bite size (smaller than fun size) snickers. Went to two other of the lantern lit spots, but there was no one handing out candy or directing people because of the rain, which had stopped nearly an hour before. We stopped T oT at that point so maybe it got better later?
We were there 9/27. We stopped trick or treating after having a few of the same experiences you had. I felt like CMs were yelling at me all night...and the yelling was NOT helping the trick or treat lines go ANY faster! We gave up and left with our bags maybe 1/4 full. The past few years, we always had completely full bags without trying very hard. The party this year was just so different from all the parties I've been to in the past few years... :worried:
