"Official" 2015 MNSSHP thread

5 to 7 not one announcement in a crowded huge line pecos bills and having band is the minority but the cmz here are nicely telling people to finish up or buy ticket

If we enter in the non party area, where would we get our party bracelets in the park? We will primarily be in fantasyland from 4-7pm so I am wondering if there is a pick up area in FL somewhere. We also have the dessert party book and my understanding for that is that we pick up the lanyards for that when we enter the park so I am hoping to grab those around 3:45. Can they give us our bracelets there? Sorry for all the questions but I'm just trying to figure out how this will work.
We were at MK at rope drop today and originally planned to exit the park then enter again to get our bracelet. We knew we wanted party merchandise and that special Halloween card from the Fire station....but when we took a look at the turnstiles out front we chose to stay inside the park. We our bands at exactly 4pm at the Fantasy Faire right next to Philharmagic. We were actually there about 3:50 but decided to wait until they set up. As soon as we got our bands we headed up to the Emporium for party merchandise. CMs were doing a good job of checking arm bands at the party merchandise area, they wouldn't even let you in that section without one! After we got our shirts AND Pin (you have to ask for the pin, they are keeping them behind the counter) we had them sent to our resort so we didn't have to carry the stuff around.

wow is it busy in mkright now had a cm not to happy with me cause someone wanted a pic of my costume i said fine then she decided to pose her kids it was quite awkard... may not be a good idea towear such an elaborate codtume this eary on
What were you dressed as?

In line for Jack and Sally now 10/1 party it's 5:06 and they are out already not a long line at all.
What were you guys dressed up as again? We were there early and were out by 5:10......very happy they came out at 5! Great interaction too!!

We left the party pretty early but are coming back sunday. We didn't see the parade, the show, or the fireworks but we got a lot of pictures and characters done. During the 9:20 show we saw at least 3 PP photographers on main street. We got the Haunted Mansion magic shot as well as the Hitchhiking Ghosts one (that one was located by Splash mountain, under the bridge then over to the right....it may be where Woody's M&G is located during the day).

Me and my girl are planning on doing the same thing, we have a BOG breakfast at 8am and plan on staying in MK all day into the Party. Are there any other places we can get the Party wristbands? Since we're staying all day there, can we go to any CM and ask them for one? I already have my tickets printed out and plan on bringing them with us.

Just got back from 10/1 party and had a lot of fun. It was my first Halloween party but I have been to the Christmas one before. I felt more prepared this time over the Christmas.

The candy lines moves fast but we only did a couple because it is hard with little ones to do them. They have candy as you exit.

Meet and greets. Wasn't big on our list. We saw the Hag (5 minute wait) at 7pm and Tiana at 8 (10 minute wait). Gaston at 5pm.

Parade. We did the first one due to having little ones. We lined up at diamond horseshoe at 7pm. Had front row spot. Crowds were two-three rows back.

Fireworks watched from fantasyland castle wall with no problems

Rides averaged Peter pan 30 minutes to walk on. I saw seven dwarfs was 30 minutes while space mountain was ten.

Wrist bands: I maybe saw two couples without one and the CMs were on it. The CMs were constantly looking at my wrists as we went from land to land. Just standing there watching. A CM was helping me find something by heritage house and came upon an old couple without wrist band. We stopped and the cM informed them it was a ticketed event. They said they knew and wasn't leaving till after the parade because they paid for a day at the park. Oh boy. I gave the CM "we will talk later" look and left. She was calling in back up at that point.

To me it felt like a normal crowd of a 3 out of ten. I loved just seeing the costumes and fun music.

Our experience of today 10/1 MNSSHP

So we stayed in the park all day which still was crowded but way better from yesterday. Some rides did have 70 min wait times like Peter Pan and of course all fast passes were sold out of good stuff.
We didn't notice any cast members checking arm bands when it was time for the party to start. Not one person checked my arm or my hubby/kids.

The crowds were rough tonight. We pretty much had the worst experience. People were yelling at each other, saw someone puking on the curb (too much to drink-thanks Epcot lol (I would assume) but we got to the parade around 8ish and it was 3 people rows deep in frontierLand so that secret is way out. Had people cut in front of us held kids on shoulders which block our view and our kids. We had to navigate them closer to the front to see. It was just too crowded for us. Having a stroller is a major disadvantage. We only hit up two trick or treat spots as well since it was way too many people

You weren't dressed as sleeping beauty were you? Someone had an amazing sleeping beauty costume and a prince they got stopped a lot for pictures

We just finished our first party. 10-1. We have 2 more to go. But this was out first time ever, so I have nothing to compare it to. It was crowded, but we had fun and were grateful for good weather.

We are 2 adults and move quickly. Here is a rundown of what we accomplished.

-Arrived at 5:00
-Got sorcerer cards
-Starbucks (a must after 8 hours driving!)
-main street photo
-Got a hocus pocus shirt at emporium, very quickly and lots of arm band checking . But I didn't experience any other arm band checks all night after this.
-castle photo magic shot
-Checked J&S, they were out but the line was already 1.5 hours so we skipped it
-camped out for Dwarfs around 5:20 and was out by 7:10, they came out at 6:50 and the line moved quickly. There were about 40 people ahead of us.
-HM, walk on
-HM magic shot, 10 mins wait
-tried to find Cadaver Dans but no luck
-8:00 -grabbed a spot in front of country bears for parade, front row (country bears was turned into a secret candy spot and they gave away full size boxes of peeps!)
-followed parade to hub for Hocus Pocus show, very crowded but incredible and totally worth the crowd level.
-met Jack Sparrow with a 20 min wait.
-Tot @ tiki room, totally empty around 10ish
-met Jafar with no wait
-met Jasmine and Genie with a 20 min wait
-Tot @ jungle cruise, small line
-magic cauldron shot and bird shot at Fantasy Land wall
-met Ariel ( I was Ursula) 15 min wait
-Tot across from Ariel
-checked SDMT 40 min wait at around 11:00, skipped it
-met Lotso 5 min wait
-rode Buzz Lightyear, walk on
-Tot near Stitches escape
-met talking Halloween Mickey, 10 min wait.
Headed out about 20 mins before 12

Hope this info is helpful!

I was dressed as the wicked witch of the west, had my hands painted green as well as my face large witch hat/broom and a dress I had made by a seamstress to look all distressed like the Wicked act 2 dress. But not far in I had to give up on the hat was so hot i was sweating most of the makeup off onto it.

I enjoyed this party it was quite busy BUT for the first time ever I was able to see the parade and castle lighting unibstructed! So regardless of not doing much else that was awesome. I was unable to get close enough to see the stage show. And I quite enjoy the interactions when in costume with people, think i learnt how to say witch in about 6 languages.

On the negative note, it seems Pecos Bills has completely stopped selling nachos and the CRT menu had completely changed as well which i wasnt expecting.

All in all I would do it again, I enjoy the people and being able to celebrate Halloween in costume. Though not in early October again, Halloween may have been insanely crowded, but for the costume I like it's just not compatible with hot weather.

Hi, We will be at the party on 10/25. We are going into MK in the morning on a day ticket from about 9am-noon. We are then planning on going back to our room at the poly to rest and get ready for the party. My DD5 has a BBB appointment at 4:10pm. So I am wondering what time you think we should be back in the park? I am thinking I'd like to be entering MK about 3:45. Would it be better to go in through the area where party guests enter or should we just go in through the regular non party entrance? ( I thought I read that they had party guests all enter on one side of the tapstiles). If we enter in the non party area, where would we get our party bracelets in the park? We will primarily be in fantasyland from 4-7pm so I am wondering if there is a pick up area in FL somewhere. I would go in on your day ticket. There are 2 locations for bands inside the park (might be more). One in Adventure Land across from POTC, and one in Tomorrow Land - near the Monsters Laugh Floor. I don't know about one in Fantasy Land.
I don't know about the Dessert Party pick up, but there is a thread about the Dessert Party someone on that might be able answer.

Awesome, thanks. That will be perfect if we can get them right near philharmagic in fantasyland since we will be near there for BBB.

Thanks. Another person said there is a wrist band pick up in Fantasyland so that will be helpful.

On our way to the MK right now. I'll be live tweeting on Twitter @caseykassidy is my handle
Thanks for posting on Twitter! It was nice to follow along. I am wondering where you picked up your lanyard for the dessert party? Did you get it at the park entrance or when you just checked in at the parade viewing spot?

I had a friend go to the party last night and she said it was wonderful, it seems like they're finally hitting their stride and getting things right. She did say the crowds were crazy, but I wouldn't be surprised if Disney just sold more and more tickets to this each year, I'm guessing it's only going to get busier. But I'm glad it seems with good weather, people are starting to post good reviews.

DH offered to buy us another set of tickets for sometime this month; I was 100% against it, but now with good reviews coming in, I'm torn. We could just go for the first few hours again and see if we can get those character photos done for DS, or DH said we could always go on our own and have a date night. Still deciding if it's worth it!

Question about the wristband pick up. Does everyone have to be present or can you go with the MB? We have a ressie for 4pm at the Plaza after being in the park most of the day. I was thinking about, if possible, after ordering food and waiting on it to come just going around the corner to the Tomorrow Land with the MB of all 4 of us while my kids sit with my husband at the table and get them. Would this work?
