Official 2014 Disneyland Dumbo Double Dare, Half Marathon, 10k, and 5k Thread!

The Active.com site has changed a bit this morning. It looks now like it did on previous days. For a short time around 8:45am PST, it changed and showed the non-DVC and AP races as being full but you could click on AP or DVC and it would let you register. I'm DVC and used that link but it never asked for proof. I registered for Dumbo along with the pins and got my confirmation email.

I tried to go right back in to register for the 5K but the old site is back up. I'll keep trying.

Good luck to everyone!

Looks like you and I got in at about the exact same time! I'm just glad it worked. Congratulations!

Good luck everyone!

For DVC members, the link is up on the Special Offers page that lets you register. I tried again through the normal Active link and it still doesn't work but the link through DVC does.

It only has Dumbo, Half, and 10K though and no 5K.

So disappointed. Have been clicking onto the page randomly all morning. Never worked for me. If I can't get into the half it will feel like the misery I encountered with the WDW half will be worth nothing.

And I'll be on a cruise ship on the 28th.

I have been attempting to accept the waiver since I first got to the waiver page.

Go through the registration process on that page. When you click next you will get an error and it should take you back to the first page with options for DVC and AP.

AP site has been updated with a link as well, and it's working.
So AP holders and DVC members are good to go!

I'm a bit confused. Is this link live for the general public already? I thought it was supposed to go live on the 28th? It's showing full? Is that an accurate number or full meaning the slots they have for AP/VISA/DVC are full? :confused3

Had to go in through the WDW version of the AP website (thank god for my pass working on both coasts) since the link is still not up on the Disneyland AP site. But I am registered for Dumbo!

I'm stuck where bumbershoot is stuck too, click on "register now" then it brings you to the waiver page and says full... no matter how many times I enter or click accept waiver, it doesn't bring me back to another page for DVC or AP :confused3

Ah, I can't remember how I got there now! I think I did have the same problem as you, but SOMEHOW how I got it to go to the other page. I'm playing around with it now.

It was up briefly this morning but they must have realized the error and took it back down. Now the only way to register is through the AP or DVC sites. I just checked DVC again and there are still spots available. I don't know if AP draws from the same number of early spots but I imagine so.

If anyone has any luck with the 5K, please let me know!

The 5k link is available on the AP site!

I just went on Active.com and clicked register and this is the message I got:

Sorry: Online registration is no longer available for this event! Please .

Yes, I am thinking I managed to register under an early glitch. I can't recreate what I did this morning!

Question to all of you - If I received a confirmation email and my CC was charged, I am in right? From this point forward can they ask for proof of DVC or cancel my registration?

Whew.

It finally went live on the WDW passholder page. Clicked there and got a very different-looking page from the active page I had been accessing. Took 3000 years to fill out the form, lol, but I got it done. Got my emailed receipt and everything.

I'll stop whining now. Once I get well (the cold from Hades that is hitting the world) I start training for a better time.

You can't go straight through Active. You have to go to the DVC or AP sites and use their links. I just tried the AP site again and it's still working with spots available.

ALL: Please note, you CANNOT go through the active.com website. I will come up as FULL because the registration has not opened to the public yet!

You need to go through he AP or DVC links in their respective pages (usually under special offers, or events, or news). You need to be logged in to access those pages.

I just tested all races - ALL ARE STILL OPEN.
