Official 2014 Disneyland Dumbo Double Dare, Half Marathon, 10k, and 5k Thread!

They shouldnt check for an AP if when you registered you clicked you were NOT an AP holder - I registered from the FB AP links, and am NOT a passholder, so you should be fine. I wrote I was not a passholder!!!

This makes me feel better about registering under DVC. I also checked that I am not DVC or AP.

I feel bad that I "cheated" my way in, but I never expected the registration to work this morning!

My friend just registered using the links also and he checked the box that he wasn't an annual passholder and it went through. Looks like they made it open to anyone as a workaround to the problems they were having this morning.

I will be calling to confirm with RunDisney that I am registered prior to open registration...just to ensure zero glitches, in case I need to register again, but it is highly doubtful!

Now the question is...do I add the 5K to the DDD???

I just can't stand to give them another $70! Haha. At the Dopey Challenge (which was expensive enough on it's own), I "had" to buy all the pins and an extra Dopey shirt and a jacket. I know I'll buy all the extra stuff for the DDD and C2C too! Dang you Disney - you always suck me in...and I love it! haha

Did you get an email confirmation? Mine came through immediately. I'm going to assume that means all is good.

With PHM peeps who registered before they were supposed to, Disney openly announced they would be honouring all registrations (likely because Active.com has a zero refunds policy and Disney didn't want to deal with that headache).

So I think if you got the email, you're good to go!

I know!!! I was tempted to by C2C stuff at Dopey, but I didnt in CASE I couldnt get it...But I am in :) and they will get more of my money, but hopefully again, all my disney dollars :)

Really glad for the WDW site and a pass that works on both coasts right now! Disneyland AP just tweeted that the DDD pre-registration are all taken.

I registered today! I'm super excited about doing another back to back like last weekend and getting the extra medal!!!

I already have a deferred bib for 2014 half only, so I had to register for DDD and they will now reimburse the cost of the half. Lots of work, but at least I'm guaranteed!

I'm registered for the 10k! Registered through DVC so got the discount :)

Question- do we need to provide proof of time for the 10k like you do the half marathon? If proof of time is not required and you don't provide proof of time, will the place you in the last corral? Trying to decide whether or not to submit mine...

There wasn't any place to submit proof of time for the 10k if you are registering just for that race. I registered a friend when she was having problems getting the WDW site to recognize her pass. They just ask for a pace estimate and will probably put you in a corral based on that. I didn't see any place to submit a proof of time for the 10k.

There was a proof of time with Dumbo but that's because it's coupled with the half.

Advice to anyone registering for the half or Dumbo if you have a proof of time submit it. Because it could very likely keep you out of the last corral. The fact that I was a Disney veteran and had racked times up with them is what I am pretty sure put me in E and not F at Tinkerbell. It's better to have something down than nothing at all.

I registered earlier today, got a confirmation email and was able to click on the "view your registration details" link to see more information. Now when I click on that link it says I'm not authorized to view that registration. Has this happened to anyone else??

You have nothing to lose by submitting it. You can move back, but you can't move up.

This happens to me constantly with Active. I have learned to just print out that page or make a PDF of it and save it, since I never know if I will be able to get back in!

Thanks, I did print a copy- it just makes me nervous! It's good to know its likely a common thing though.

It's very common (like everytime). Once regular registration opens you should be able to check registration via the rundisney site.

I wasn't able to pre-register since I don't have an AP and am not a DVC member. So I'll have to wait till next Tuesday to register.

How quickly did the Dumbo Double Dare fill up last year? Like 2-3 hours? I know registration will probably open at Noon ET, but I don't get off work till 3:30 and won't be home till 4 PM. Any chance registration will still be open around 4:15-4:30? Just in case, I'm giving my mom instructions on how to register me since she will be around at 12 PM.
