Official 2013 MVMCP Information

Are the party tickets anything special? Just wondering if I buy them online should I shell out $15 shipping as 2 of them are gifts?? Or should I just print at home???

Nothing special. They use the standard ticket media for them now, no more themed holiday designs, just Mickey, Goofy, Donald, or Pluto on the green background like regular park tickets.

Due to the parade taping on December 6th, the Celebrate a Dream Come True parade is confirmed to run @ 5:00. Main Street will be crowded but you'll be able to watch the regular day parade and the Christmas Parades!

DD is performing in both parades so be sure to give a "thumbs up" to Minnie in CDCT and to Mickey in MOUCP! Minnie and Mickey will know you are from DISboards!;)

Here at the party now. In line waiting for the 7 dwarves. Tonight's party is sold out too.

I thought that since this is the week after Thanksgiving, that this week was anticipated to be fairly busy since in years past the week after Thanksgiving had been busy

I think that's an assumption a lot of people are making. I know I am. I don't know how crowded it's been this last week but I had to change our reservation to the 15th because nothing was available this first week.

I think it's because Thanksgiving was so late this year. Plus free dining being offered. Pop Warner arrives soon. Parade taping. Just more and more stuff that Disney keeps adding on trying to draw more people in. :/

That's what I was thinking - so maybe it won't be TOO busy the week before Christmas since Thanksgiving was so late. I'm thinking many parents would not want to take their kids out of school any earlier with them having just 3 weeks between Thanksgiving & Christmas break. But that's just my guess.

I think i'm just trying to tell myself it won't be busy the week before Christmas when I know it will ;)

We are. Lol

I'm hoping the same though.

I'm hoping next week won't be too busy, as is usual for this time in years past! Maybe being another week out from thanksgiving will help, and not at many kids missing that middle week of school as might miss the last week of school, (lol, wishful thinking!). Plus no free dining most of next week and from all I've read here, pop warner doesn't affect crowds in parks as much, just the resorts they converge on! And I'm not staying at those, so should be good!

With free dining being offered this week and NOT next week many people changed their plans and moved their weeks.

We're there from the 14th to the 23rd. I bought tickets for the 15th. I had kind of accepted this week was going to be busier than I was used to. However, I don't think it will be too bad during the earlier part of the week. I don't expect heavy crowds until the Friday (the 20th) and then it will be nuts IMO. We're as ready as we can be I guess. I don't think I'll truly understand it until I am in it.

People have been saying for months and months that they were worried about the first week of December because reservations were so hard to get. Add in free dining, and the fact that there were MANY threads complaining about the first week of December crowds last year, and I think it's just not the quiet time it used to be.

We'll be at that party too! I'm really hoping it's the least crowded of at least our week. We will be there about the same dates as you 13-23 and in parks 15-20 and planning on the 20th being the worst day. Of course we are going to Epcot the unrecommended park that day to see trace atkins in cp. Very excited!

My daughter and I will be at the party on the 15th too. We'll be at WDW from the 13th to the 17th and hoping that's early enough to beat the real holiday craziness. I don't even know who the narrator is for CP the night we're going - Trace Atkins was the only one I had a particular desire to see but his dates just didn't work for us.

I thought that since this is the week after Thanksgiving, that this week was anticipated to be fairly busy since in years past the week after Thanksgiving had been busy

We've been the week after Thanksgiving the last 4 years, and never felt it was busy. We went in October this year, and it was significantly more busy than what we were used to the week after Thanksgiving. From the MVMCP sell outs this week, I think it is more busy this year, which I think is probably due to Thanksgiving being so late. We have a bad habit of going to 2 or even 3 MVMCP this week. Usually, Sunday and at least one of the weeknights are not sold out. Friday always sells out and sometimes one of the weeknights sells out. This week it looks like they have all sold out instead of just 1 or 2?

I'll be there to see Trace Atkins too! Fortunately that's our last park day so we should have done all of the important things at Epcot earlier in the week.

Yes, we're hoping for low crowds that week but like you said, i'm sure the 20th will be horrible. That's our last park day but we're spending it at Magic Kingdom. I would like to go to Epcot that day instead of Thursday to see Trace Atkins but with Epcot having EMH, we figured it would be packed!
