Official 2013 MVMCP Information

Were you able to purchase pins prior to 7:00?

According to the CM's at the Trading Post in Frontierland, they are not allowed to sell the Party Pins prior to 7pm, even if you are wearing a wristband. Each time we purchased party items, it was after 7pm but we hadn't gone in earlier to check if we could. Honestly, if you go there by 7:20pm, you could get served straight away

Thanks! I believe we'll be staking out a parade spot in Town Square before that time so, if we aren't able to find them after the first parade on our first party night, we'll plan on pin hunting for our second party.

I just attended the party on Friday and waited at the big top train for pins until they placed them out - they had all pins and there is a limit to the number you can buy. It was not busy where I think the others were very busy bc they are on the parade route.
Btw watching the parade from the upper level of the train station was great - unless you need to be right in the action.

Thanks for the pin tips! DD is a parade performer so we need to be in her line of sight for our first parade viewing and also in close proximity to where we will meet her character friend after the parade ends. I do plan to watch from the Train Station for one of our views...how early did you need to get there to find a spot?

How cool! What is your DD playing? It was a great parade. Have fun!

She is "friends with Mickey" so that is why we need to be close for the first parade and I do want to watch from the Train Station at least once to watch the opening unit come down Main Street!

For the second parade, how early should we plan on the Train Station?

we arrived upstairs the station about 15-20 before the parade start and were able to stand and watch. Chairs upstairs were taken well before.

We're hoping to watch (and take photos of) the parade from the center island at the end of Main Street (where the big tree is after the taping). I think this spot used to be almost a walk up, but like so many things at Disney, it's been "discovered". Does anyone have any idea when we should arrive to get a front row seat/stand there? :)

Last year, we were able to get front row for the second Boo To You/MNSSHP parade by arriving around 20 minutes before the start. We were closer to City Hall. I am not sure if that works for the Christmas Parade.

My DS and I are visiting for a quick weekend trip, we are staying at the Hilton Bonnet Creek, I decided not to rent a car as the Hilton offers a shuttle to the parks. However, we want to go to MVMCP and the Hilton does not offer the shuttle for party nights. Would we be able to get a taxi from MK? Assuming it would be late (between 11pm - 12am), how safe would that be?

Taxis should be available at TTC, or you could walk to Contemporary and get one there.

Walk to the Contemporary. We found that at the TTC, there were very few taxis after the party so CM's had to call taxis for people. It would be faster not to have to worry about the monorail or boat and just go straight to the Contemporary

Why are the prices higher on the last night? Do they offer more to the guests that night? Are souvenirs discounted on the last night?

They know they will sell it out and can get away with it.

And if there are souvenirs left, I don't believe they discount them.

The party is exactly the same. As the parties get closer to Christmas, they get busier and they know people will purchase the tickets. MNSSHP was exactly the same :)
