Official 2013 Disneyland Dumbo Double Dare, Half Marathon, 10k, and 5k Thread!

I submitted the time for my latest 10K race (1:12). The response I got back is that my projected finish time has been updated to 2:42:00. Do you guys think this will be fast enough to get me out if the last corral?

Definitely out of the last corral! I submitted a 2:45 finish for last year's DL half and was in corral D. My guess is you will be in D, possibly C. This year for DL, I submitted a 2:23 finish time and I'm hoping for corral C. The corral times for Tink and Princess are a lot different since they are women focused events. Here's the clif pace team link for DL last year. This may give you an idea of corral times.

Thanks for the link....good info ! Looks like based on my PHM half that DH and I will be in the last corral...guess I will try to be at the front of "E" corral to get some distance between me and balloon lady !

I think corrals for last year were A-F but only had pace teams in A-E, but I could be wrong about that.

There will be more corrals that what is on the pace list. They just don't have pace people in every corral. Two years ago I was at the very end in corral G.

I don't think they decreased the number of race participants, so my guess is they will still have corrals A-G. Granted... once you got to E, F & G, things got pretty jumbled and it was more like one giant corral.

Yup...that hurt.....sooooo close...great game...trade drinks in a couple of months !

7 mile long run today will be pun intended long no choice but treadmill from here on out since 76 with 80% humidity at 7 a.m. And at 8 p.m. Suppose to be 87 with 65% humidity. Had hoped to get a 10k time to support my time submitted but not going to happen since 10k's tend to dry up faster than our grass this time of year !

Does anybody know will rundisney look at the PHM finish time and place in corrals accordingly or go with submitted time on registration form ? For me the difference will probably be corral F or corral C.

Hahaha, too funny, Lori. Yup drink trading is on the horizon. Treadmill here, as well. It has been scorching out. All week heat index was at 95-100. I'm supposed to do 4 miles after work, yea right. Just don't have the motivation like I did for PHM.

Well its not as hot here in Michigan but its still hotter than we've been used to! I have my long run of 9 miles to do after work tonight because of a busy weekend coming up. Its going to be a high of 86 with 50% humidity when I'm planning on running. I may do a few miles on the treadmill and then go outside for the last bit if it starts to cool off!

Are you talking about your time from the PHM this year? You have until July 1st to submit a change of time. If not, you can do it at the expo (last time before the 2014 changes). There's an email address somewhere on the runDisney site. Track something. I can't recall.

presently doing a girls only trip to Kauai and yes...getting some training in a few days ! Really humid here on Kauai so very much like San Antonio. And wouldn't you know...much sympathy from the locals on the Spurs losing ! Thought I was over it but no...off for more Mai tai's since that seems to help !

Starting to feel real here, I had an amazing 10 mile run on Sunday despite the high humidity (it is always about 95% now). I did the 10 miles in 8:38 min/mile and felt strong at the end. Had been feeling so blah about my runs lately and very worried that I was not going to be in good shape so I am feeling so much better.
Two months and we will be on a plane to LA!!! Woo Hoo! I have so much more to plan and time is ticking down but I am so excited.
