Sounds like so many are doing an awesome job with their training, dispite a few bumps here and there. Great job!
I really want to try the Galloway method and decided I need some sort of timer to help with the intervals. (Doesn't work well when you keep forgetting to check your watch and forget to walk or run at the appropriate intervals.) I bought the Gymboss I heard recommended somewhere in these threads. So, now it is just trying to decide how long to time my intervals. This weekend I might try a 5/1 like Coach recommended, or a 4/1 that my training plan recommends for a first marathon run/walk interval and see how that works out. I'm going for 10 (maybe 11) this weekend.
Now, if I could only find my runners watch! It's been missing for a week!
Regarding fundraising for the Princess 1/2 - I was recently involved with American Cancer Society Relay for Life. I believe there are ways that you can set up a fundraising page for any race that you do. You may want to check into your local American Cancer Soc and they could probably help you with that. I was considering this myself, but haven't had a chance to do this yet. Likely something similar is available for other charities as well. It is a chance to do some fundraising, especially if you are not able to make the commitment to a large fundraising program such as Team in Training.
