how does it work if you have 7 people?
we are getting 2 rooms, so do i need to make 2 seperate ressies?

I was wondering since I do not currently have a disney visa, if I called with the code would they proceed assuming I know what I am talking about, or do they ask for your card information? Also do you have to be paying with your disney visa to get the free dining?

Or should I just wait till thursday to get the deal open to everyone?

I have deluxe dining reserved already. I saw a code on the last page that said CMP for deluxe dining - is this correct?

We have 2 rooms - 7 adults and 1 junior. She said that I had to make 2 separate reservations because there were more than 3 adults. It was no problem to do that, though.

Do you think I should go ahead & book the rooms today at a value & then call on Thursday to add the FREE dining? It's a large party going - 16. Or should we call the grand gathering? Can they book all 4 rooms at 1 time?

I couldn't get free dining on my mom's package due to the fact that I am the Disney Visa Card holder and not on the reservation. I asked if I should call back on the 10th and he acted like I was insane. Do they pretend like it doesn't open to the general public? Has it ever not opened to the general public?

Try this, give your card # to your mom and have her call. My friend has a dv and I do not. She called this morning and tried to get my reservation to include free dining they told her she couldn't that I would have to call with her card #. So I did and after a 45 minute hold we are good to go. I told them upfront that I was using her card and I could 3 way her in if I needed to. She said no we didn't need to because since we are part of a grand gathering obviously we were together. I did need her address and phone number.

I didn't save much money because we took the money we would be saving and added extra nights!!!

I am so excited and relieved now, the waiting and anticipation is over and I'm sure my husband is relieved also . . . I have been obsessed with this for weeks now.

We have 2 rooms at the POP 9 nights for $3383. 2 adults 3 kiddos. Yeah still alot of money but it's disney

I have 9 people in mine and did two rooms. (4 are adults) I was able to do both rooms with my disney visa for deposit on each room. I also had the confirmation and all other billing for inlaws room go to them and our room info and billing come to us.

Can someone explain a few things to me.....

Can you stay at a deluxe, pay rack rates & still get Free Dining??
Is there an upgrade charge for the deluxe dining?
can I check in on the 19th & get the FD for my length of stay?
can I just buy 1 day ticket to get the FD??

I got through in about ten minutes using the 877-939-3732 phone number and had the most delightful CM.

We are booked into POP Century (although we usually do Sports) so that we can help Pooh celebrate her upcoming wedding. Gonna be a WILD night!!!

August 30th=September 13th 14 nites at POP (standard)
2 one day tickets
Free Dining

$1450.78 total

Might have to cancel a few of the first days but wanted to make sure I had all the days I wanted, just in case.

You can definately call the grand gathering number. I booked grand gathering with only 9 people and they were great. You can book the seperate rooms with one call. You will have to have everyone's names, ages of the kids and address and phone numbers for the reservations.

Make sure to take advantage of the grand gathering events too! We are doing the Celebration Safari and the Good Morning Breakfast.

I already have an existing reservation and plan on calling on Thursday to get the free dining with Deluxe upgrade. So you could definately call today and then call back.

I was able to change our room only ressie for August 23-Sept 1, 2008 to a room only for August 23 and the rest to the MYW package with park hopping and water park fun and more tickets. We have two rooms at the ASSports - one with 2 adults for eight nights $1416.70 and one with 2 adults and one 17 year old for $1754.41. I calculated this will cost us a total of $175 more than room only reservations with AAA discount and discounted tickets from a broker, but our food is now included! There is no way I could feed my crew for that!

I was able to switch my package at POFQ from Aug 27 to Sept 2 to free dining for a savings of $1000.

I couldn't get a flight out on 9/2 using free miles, so i booked room only for that last night. our flight leaves before 8 a.m. that last day -- no point in an extra day on MYW tix for that...

Relief after months of hopeful waiting!

My DS will be 7 and wants to visit all 4 parks and Typhoon Lagoon. I was going to get a 5 day tix and pay for TL OOP...is this wise? I cannot book until 4/10 worried POP will be sold out, but have Sports and Coronado as back-ups. Thanks.

Just got off the phone after 12 minutes on hold and told POFQ for Sept. 20-27 has no more free dining available. I was told they may release more rooms with free dining when and IF it goes public. He said they might not release the offer to the public only Disney Visa holders. I have my room from the bounceback, unfortunately my parents now decided to go and no discount code and no free dining. They are being charged almost the same amount for 2 adults as our family of 5. Anyone have this happen last time? Anyone have any suggestions?

Make sure you get the POP GLOW party on September 5th on your itinerary. It's not a party without you!

You know, your tickets are not tied to your length of stay. So if you want the extra dining credits, or just don't want to have 2 reservations, and they have availability on the 2d, you can book it all as one reservation with a shorter MYW ticket. Dining is free, so the price would be the same--you'd just get another day's worth of dining credits, and you'd be guaranteed that you wouldn't have to change rooms. Just an FYI-HTH!

Did a quick check of ticket prices, and here's what I came up with:

5 day base ticket (no hopper or water parks) is $228.98.
One day water park admission is $41.54.
Total: $270.52

5 day ticket with water parks & more (no hopper) is $282.23

Difference is $11.71 BUT you'd get 5 water parks & more admissions with the bundled ticket instead of just one. You could go to both water parks and Disney Quest (amazing video game arcade in Downtown Disney) and Pleasure Island for less than $12 more.

Keep in mind, too, that once you're above 3 days on the base ticket, it hardly costs anything to add extra days. A 5 day ticket is $228.98, a 6 day ticket is $231.11, a 7 day ticket is $233.24, etc. So you're really not saving anything by skimping on the days on the base ticket. Water parks close early, so you could do a water park during the day and a theme park at night. HTH!
