Offical free dining watch 2008

We did the same thing!!! "Oh no we won't go back at the sametime, next time will be a holiday" - yeah right: that did not work out to well. Now we are drolling over free dining.

Anyone else reading this - Free dining is better than a 40% code at a value resort. It is that simple. 7 nights - Free Dining for 3 at adult rates over $800.00 saving, 40% discount for 7 nights on value is less than $400 savings.

I hear you. We are total "foodies" We love to try out new things. We are hoping for the discounted deluxe plan this year. But to me free food is always a good thing. We normally spend $1600 for food on a 12 day trip for 2 adults and 1 child.

I only wish I would have stuck to my gut and just booked while we were there and cancled if we changed our minds. I wouldn't have to be sitting here waiting and hoping for a code. Not to mention hoping we will get our ADR's we want.

I have a question concerning the bouncebacks. Do you have to book for the SAME hotel that you were staying at?

We'll be fosterparents next year and I can't see us staying at the CSR for our young ones. I think it would be more economical and FUN for the kids if we booked POP's If we use the bounceback, is it possible to book the other hotel next year?

Also I have another question. If we get the 40% coupon (we're awaiting some mail from disney in the next couple of days) I'm wondering if it would be cheaper for us to use the 40 percent coupon. We are planning on keeping DxDDP for our stay...there is just the two of us adults. We were going to add the FDDP to get the discount, but wondering if for the two of us staying Sept. 14-20th at CSR if it would be a better deal for the 40% with us keeping the DxDDP and all. Any input on that?

Thank You ALL so much for your knowledge, input and Fun posts:rotfl: :flower3:

You don't have to book bounceback at some hotel-you just have to book before you check out.

40% off moderate would save $67.05/day the DDP for 2 adults would be $75.98/day so free DDP would save $8.93/day. I think you'll still be able to pay the extra for DxDDP with free dining-you would be saving the cost of regular DDP or the $75.98/day.

AWESOME! Thank You for the tip  :yay:

Ugh! Now "their" saying 8/24?

We booked free DDP bounceback in September because the August dates given were only 8/30 & 8/31.

The week of 8/24 is perfect and would allow me to go/be back before my college starts!

So now... after all of my planning, and after getting all the ADR's I wanted, (even Cinderella's Breakfast, Coral Reef, Le Cellier, Chef Mickey's) I may just switch dates vacation dates (cancel our bounceback) if/when that week is announced. :confused3

I check my email faithfully "just in case"!

I had figured the propmo dates for the free DDP plan would mirror what bounceback free DDP was offered. Now... if I do change... I bet ADR availability is minimal (to the good places). :sad2:

Boy... they were not kidding when they said "The waiting is the hardest part"! :rotfl:

I still wanna know how come everybody has got codes that I never seem to get?

"everybody" doesn't get the codes, DoodlesMom. I have never gotten one either and I have been around and going to WDW a l o n g time. :) There seems to be no rhyme or reason to who will get them. There are lots of people who say it is because they did "this or that" but I have done all those things too, and never a postcard or email code sent my way. I actually think we are in the majority, not the minority!

The difference for deluxe would be $30 over ten and $10 under 10.
I figured for 3 children two adults to add $90 a day, anyone agree

Why can't anyone just come out and say "YES" it is real??!!:scratchin

This is in reference to the post on page 64 from the travel agent's daughter. It gave a code for Disney Visa holders- will it be the same for non-Visa holders? If not, where would the other code come from?

Another question- I have a 40% off code for my room, but haven't booked yet. Should I go ahead and book before April 7 when FD is opened? Will all the rooms be taken??

I also received a 40% code, but at the bottom of my postcard it says "Be sure and book your trip by March 31, 2008." :)

You know, I heard this too, but thought that there are so many codes floating around, I'm hoping that this poster had a different date than I did. (I booked at Pop, 2 rooms, for $49 a night).

I am going to WDW Aug 21 to Aug 31... can I get it just for the days it's free or do I have to get it for all 10 days and pay the difference??? Honestly don't care either way...the savings will be worth it either way. :cool1: popcorn::

If this is true then you would have to have 2 seperate reservations. The first one as a room only or non discounted pkg. including dates21-24 and free dining pkg. from 24-31.You could do your tickets on your first reservation then you would need to purchase a 1 day for each person for the 2nd pkg. This is required to get the free dining. This 1 day would never expire and can be used in the future. That one day base ticket would pay for everyones dining for 7 days not to bad. You may even find a discount later for that first 3 nights.

HOping that web site is correct!!! I wish they would just go ahead and get it over with. I don't have a disney visa, so i can't book until the general public can. Tired of stressing whether or not I'll be able to get that promo.

I keep checking my spam folder just in case Chase has release the announcement. It's like watching the phone for a call!

I'm going to have to cancel my reservation and do a new one for the free dining. I already made some adr's does this mean I need to cancel them as well and make new adr's to go along with my new reservation # ? Thanks, Linda :)

:confused3 I thought the ADR's were attached to your phone number, but somewhere else I read they are attached to your reservation #. I think the best thing to do is call WDW DINE and ask them. Then please post what you find out here for others who may soon be in your shoes.

TIA!

No, your ADR's are based on your phone number and you don't even have to have a reservation to get ADR's.
