Dan....maybe you will think this is stupid, but.....I had a VERY sick dog the past couple of days. She is a Rottweiler and she's 13 1/2 yrs old, which is pretty ancient for her breed. I really thought she wasn't going to make it the other night. I was trying to be positive, but in the back of my mind, with everything that her body was going through, I was terrified I was losing her. Well, thankfully, she is pulling through and seems to be making a nice recovery. This morning I was praying and thanking God for His blessings (since I wasn't lucky enough to be blessed with kids, my animals are my kids) and Jeff just popped into my head. Like... POPPED in!! I KNOW he had a hand in her recovery. I don't know how I know it, I just do. The feeling I got was SO strong that, to me, it couldn't be anything else.![]()

Kelly - no - it doesn't sound stupid to me at all. As a matter of fact - it sounds just about right! We can only take a guess at what surrounds us in the spiritual world - well - except Jon Edwards (LOL).
Dan - there's a book I suggest you read. It's a fiction, and yes, it has a Christian theme to it, but it's a marvelous story and one I think you will greatly benefit from. The name is "The Shack" by William P. Young. If you PM me your address I will be glad to send you a copy. I'm not one to shove books at people - and I get ticked when people shove a book at me - but this one impressed me so that I bought 10 copies just so I could give copies away. I'll be only too happy to send one to you. Like I said - it's a fiction - a very absorbing piece of fiction - and does not shove religion of any kind down your throat. It will, however, change your perspectives on a lot of things - and bring healing to your soul. Just give me the word & it's yours.
Been a tough week. Maybe if we can ever just get past all these firsts we can get better. Everything we do seems to be the first thing we have done without Jeff. It is just so dang hard to do anything anymore.
Thanks for all the great advice and help on here.
Thanks for checking in Dan, hope you have a better week. For what it's worth, you are giving me inspiration. I wish you and your family well.
