CHOP CHOP…4 real!
My wonderful DH had unpacked most of our things, by the time we got back.

After I got my sleepy Angel tucked in, I unpacked and put away some of the extras. It really felt great to be unpacked for real! We had now been in WDW for 3 days, and were living out of suitcases….I hate that feeling!
My DH & I shared the carrot cake that my lil’l guy & I brought home, while we discussed the day and planned the next one. We decided to change our plans a bit and head to MK, to again attempt haircuts. We were going to aim for opening. I have never seen any of the Parks open and it was on MY list of things to for sure do.
It didn’t happen.

We never once saw the opening of any of the parks on this trip…We did however make it to MK minutes after rope drop. We got ourselves to the Barber Shop as quick as we could get our tootsies to move. Princessjv & family quick is not quick enough. There were already about 4 families in front of us. Each with multiple haircuts. We took our claim to snips and stood and stood…stood some more…yet more. It took close to an hour, but we were not moving. I chatted it up with the lady behind me & her family, who was having her youngest sons haircut. I suggested he get a ‘do’ with a colored gel MICKEY and sprinkles. He wasn’t going for it… She huffed and puffed a bit, as we were all trying to as patiently as we could wait. It is really hard to wait in line at the Barber. You have this feeling that you should be waiting in line for a ride or attraction…not a haircut. After all, you can wait in line at home at any Great Clips for that.
Ahhh, but it wouldn’t be a DISNEY cut! It wouldn’t be as special to sit in one of those Main Street USA Barber Shop chairs and get a ‘do’, from a Disney Barber!
DH, let Tink loose and had to chase her & Lil’Diz around while I stood.

They found it really fun to run and run. Lil’Diz Man thought it was even funnier to have Tink run and run, because of her shoes. You see this MOMMA had put Tinks BSQUEAKY’s on. If you have never seen these, they are cute little European looking shoes for small kiddos. They have fun colors and styles for boys and girls. Today’s variety were cute Pink Sandal’s. The only difference between these shoes and any other is that THEY SQUEAK!
Yep, with every step she took, they squeaked back at her. So, since she moves fast…they sounded like e errr…e eerrr…e eerrr.e er e er e er e er e er e er (say it as fast as you can. That’s what everyone heard)
I think we bothered the lady behind us. My DH saw her roll the eyes

a few times. Ohh Well, if she lived with Tink, she would have her in those shoes too. So we let her run for a bit, hoping that she would be nice & pooped out by the time it was her turn. At least we knew where she was…at all times!
We were all really excited. This was Tink’s first cut. I had waited over 2 years to cut her locks of love! We were however very worried that she would not fair well. To this point she was not always thrilled about men, so I requested the nice lady. We talked up the haircut all morning (and all hour in line). As we got closer to the head of the line, we showed Tink the chair and were lucky to have a little boy sitting nicely in it, getting his first cut too. When it was her turn, she walked right up and let the Barber CM pick her up and put her in. Before the CM started the cut, she decorated Tink with MICKEY stickers and they gave her a handful of princess Pixie Dust (a mixture of white & pink carriage, castle, pumpkin confetti).
Tink did a great job! She sat very still (for her, still) and was a big girl! I asked for a shoulder length bob. The cut was good, however it was a bit long in back in compared to the front…oh well, we still thought she was SOO CUTE! After they cute her hair the Barber told her that she EARNED HER EARS and gave her a set of MICKEY EARS with first haircut on the back. They usually give girls pink, but they were out (black is fine with us). I did learn a Barber Shop Secret…They have a fake wood burning stove in the shop…inside is where they keep all of the extra ‘first haircut’ MICKEY EARS.
As she was getting all done up, lil’l Diz got a cut and color to. Hehehe
His color was in the variety of colored gel. Red…his favorite color! They spiked his hair with the red gel, and then added a lot of pixie dust (MICKEY HEADS & NORMAL CONFETTI)!
On the back, they gave him a MICKEY!
I will warn, that this stuff doesn’t dry well. It may be that they gooped it in, or that it was a warm day. But it got all over all day! He never could lean back on any rides and had to not look up, because it rubbed on his shirt collar. My suggestion would be to have the MICKEY head put a bit higher up, so that it won’t touch any shirts.
I highly recommend getting this special treatment done. My boys got a lot of comment all day and Lil’l Diz Man felt really

cool, that he was different and getting special attention. What a great feeling for him! He was the center of attention for once! YAAA!
Did you catch that I said, “my boys”? If you did…bonus points for you!
Yes, DH too got the treatment. On top, he chose clear gel, but he got a green gel MICKEY head on the back of his head!
PROOF OF HER RUNNING GAME!
