Does anyone have advice on a strategic plan to get to the parks via a rental car from our off-site condo each day? It sounds like you can waste a lot of time just maneuvering the parking lot system to get to the parks.

p.s. We are very pleased with our off-site accomodations so no need to rave about choosing an on-site hotel. :)

Thanks!

A few tips --

READ THE SIGNS!!!!!! You'd be amazed at what they say.
Obey the speed limit. Do not go too slow, or too fast.
Stop means stop.
No U-Turn means No U-Turn. (Find a safe and legal place to do so if neccessary)

I know these sound like basic traffic laws, but tourists seem to think that they're invincible once on property. I've seen FAR too many accidents caused by stupid mistakes. Oh, and watch out for Orange County Sherrifs... they love to pull tourists over.

We have found that driving in is very easy. As mentioned before follow the signs. Once you get to the parkling lot, follw the attendants as to where to park. The trams will pick up your right there at the end of the aisle. Very easy!!

We were at WDW last January for 11 days, 1 week offsite, and 4 days onsite.

I agree with you, if you have great offsite accomodations, driving in and out is a snap. My best advice is to get up and moving as early as you can. And just follow the other's advice, read the signs, follow the CMs instructions, and ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS write down your section name and number where you parked!!!!!(we comandeered the last page of DS's autograph book to do this).

Have a great trip

Just to add on to what Tyler said...if you are on Osceola Parkway, watch out for the staties...they usually hang out right at the Disney sign and I have watched them pull over car after car after car...even saw them pull over two tour buses once.
