Off-Site Access to Internet

I will be staying at the Terra Verde resort starting April 6th. I just realized that I want to do the 24 hour prior, on-line check-in from my return trip home (Southwest Airlines). In order to do this, I will need access to a computer and a printer.

I know that the clubhouse states that they have a "cyber cafe" kind of setup but I don't know what this might include.

I just want to check in so I can get an early boarding group so my kids and I can sit together on the plane.

I could get someone from my office to check in for me, but I have not way of getting the boarding passes and apparently I *must* have those.

Any ideas?

Actually you can have someone from home check you in at the 24 hour mark, and then just reprint the boarding passes when you arrive at the airport and check your bags.

Another option would be going to a local Kinkos, UPS Store, Staples, etc. and paying to use their terminals. Of any of the business centers at WDW have Internet access, $10 for 15 minutes, printing is a small additional fee.

Thanks Anne. I'm not getting a clear answer from Southwest regarding having one of my co-workers check me in and then having the boarding pass reprinted at the airport. That's what I *think* I should be able to do but I'd like to get a good answer.

As for stopping at a business center, I'm going to be at Universal the entire day and most of the evening. I'm guessing these places might be open on the way back to the rental house?

Portofino and Hard Rock both have business centers that you could use as well, but I"m not sure what their hours are, they might be closed before you leae the parks.

Just confirming Anne's claim -- I did it myself last year, and two weeks ago I did it for my in-laws. Both Southwest.

However, my check-in time would be at 10:15 a.m. and I plan on being over at Universal all day until late. I *really* want to get into boarding group "A" so that I can at least sit with the kids. I don't care if our party is split but I don't want one of the kids to end up alone.

I would rather count on a co-worker to check me in than some random person at a resort. You could call the co-worker from your cell to give them a little reminder a few minutes before 10:15.

Now I've given said co-worker all the instructions and he's a nervous wreck about it (he never flies and if he does, his wife takes care of it all). But he's all I've got!

No doubt this would work. The Southwest rep just said that if we didn't use the ones we printed "there might be a problem at the airport." If I could get my coworker to fax them to me, that would solve it all, but I am not staying at a resort. I will be in a vacation home with not fax machine.

I routinely check in on my Treo (which has no printing) and then just tell the person at the counter that I "lost" the boarding pass. (Or just ask the skycap to reprint)

Faxes are not acceptable so don't waste your time there. Just tell them you left them at the hotel, it won't be an issue. The folks on the phone have little to NO experience actually checking anyone in at the airport!

Thank you. That's what I was thinking was that the skycap at the curb had a terminal that he could print them out for me. I mean, they used to do that many years ago.
