After going to the Fort 3 Sept/Oct's in a row, DW decided that was too hot (and a few trips, too crowded). We did January this year and it was great. A little too cold for me a few mornings, but crowds were perfect. I've also been in February and March. Both are generally good times if you stay away from holiday weekends and when Easter/Spring Break falls.
Today is our last date at the Fort. AK is on the agenda today as is putting away decorations and securing stuff inside the 5th wheel. We never spend much time in AK so we're back at camp by 3pm. Tomorrow will be a travel day to Suwannee River State Park and then home on Saturday.
The food trucks at the Settlement are pretty good. I had a Toasted last year. A chicken bacon ranch grilled cheese and tots. Went back for the same this year. Didn't have the chicken bacon ranch but they did have a buffalo chicken ranch so I thought why not.....and throw in a side of tots.
There are some big boy cargo trailers in the overflow lot.
Two boats were running this morning to MK (orange and yellow). It was a little cloudy and foggy at first.
A little more of the new-and-improved view towards Discovery Island.
While we relaxed on the TE porch, a delivery truck came to set out some Halloween-themed decorations. I'm a little sad because this magic used to occur overnight (out of sight). Now it happens in plain sight. Not as much of a show as it used to be.
Also dropped off were the sets of shelves to hold the pumpkins in the carving/painting contest tonight.
Old and New Disney golf carts side by side. Note the new carts have LED headlights.
Holiday change to the Food Truck schedule.
By 9am people were already staking out their spots for the 5pm golf cart parade.
