We booked Thursday while on the Wonder. We have a cat 6 and a cat 11 (across the hall). We are looking forward to our 2nd DCL cruise. We have a 13 year old and a 15 year old. We are signed up for main dining.
We did the 4 night DVC Member Cruise. Lots of great people on board. Wonderful entertainment. We had a cat 6 room on Deck 6. Main dining. We really liked the set up. This time we're closer to the back (AFT). We are saving telling our girls until Christmas. Should make it more fun. Also we were part of a Fish Extender list so that added alot more fun. 342 days and counting.
We joined the DVC while on board sooooooo we get a nice little point discount if we rebook within 3 day so we have after about 4 hours of playing with the numbers..... come up with this cruise as our best bet!
I skimmed through the whole thread to get an idea of whats going on with everyone!
We (DH and self) and DD 11 and DS 15 all look forward to our next DISNEY CRUISE!
Gamomof2 were you on the wonder when it was in port with the MAGIC?
We were on the MAGIC!
that was really cool......unfortunatley we did not get to do CASTAWAY CAY becuz of the storm.............BUT Nasua was nice and being in port with the WONDER was probablly a once in a lifetime experience!
Dizzi - Welcome Home. congratulations. Which resort did you buy into? We know that the Magic left on saturday and we left on sunday. The DVC schedule is different than normal so i'm not sure what the 4 day one is. curious though.
gamomof2 ................ we bought into Saratoga springs.
We had the option of buying into The new animal Kingdom villas but opted for STS becuz it was $2000 les nad only 3 less years!
i dont think it will matter when we are.........85 years old if we dont have the 3 extra years!
What is your HOME RSORT?
have you ever stayed at VERO BEACh..........we are so close we were looking at that one is it hard to book these as they are so popular??
we own points at SSR and AKV. we've not stayed at Vero or HH yet. Hopefully in the future though. Our youngest DD is a big animal nut so we bought the AKV more for her. When they announce CRV we'll buy some there too for our oldest DD. She loves the CR.
we didn't purchase the insurance on the first one and have chosen not to on this one. The booking fee is to cover administrative costs between the two companies. DVC and DCL operate seperately. Have seperate staffs that have to take the time to talk to each other and exchange points for dollar value and complete paperwork. The fee is actually less than an external exchange fee we pay with our non-DVC time share ($149). DVC means quality to us. We're certain of the accomodations, of the value and of the expectations. It's worth investing in with us.
