October 5, 2008 Wonder Cruise!

Welcome Kaysmommie! Glad to have you aboard!

I'm the honeymooner - and I can't believe there is less than 8 months to go! :faint:
We've tacked on two nights at the Wilderness Lodge after our Universal stay...(can you tell we don't want to leave FL??) It'll be the first time staying there for both of us so we are really excited about that. Have you eaten at Artist Point?? That's one we are looking forward to eat at.

Hopefully some of the girls will notice the email alert and stop by and say hi!

You are going to love:cloud9: WL!! We have stayed there twice before and thought of going there for a week in November, but we decided to try the cruise instead. We ate at Artist point back in 2002 and it was excellent. Even our DD who was 2 at the time loved it. Make sure it's noted on your reservation that it is your on your honeymoon. The last few trips we have only gone to Whispering Canyon because it's fun for the kids though the food is not quite as good. I'm sure you will have and amazing honeymoon.

Add us to the list, please...

It'll be me, DH, DS(10) and my mom. We have adjoining cat. 5 cabins on deck 7. (I have the stateroom numbers on my confirmation at work.) This is our first DCL cruise and we're looking forward to it. We're planning on spending several days at WDW before the cruise -- still working out the details. Lots of planning to do. :yay:

Kaysmommie - UPGRADE to the balcony!!! That's a great price! (I saw your thread on the other board... :teeth: )
...my suggestion though is (if you do upgrade) book a room on Deck 6. The balconies are slightly larger than Deck 5...

...shhh!! Don't tell anyone! :rotfl:

I spoke to my TA today and we have the main dinner seating.:goodvibes

Actually, we started out booking on the Magic for one of the 7 night Mexican Riviera cruises in June with a bunch of friends. However, they all started to pull out due to various conflicts and committments, so we decided to switch to a 4 night Bahama cruise instead. We weighed the costs between 4 night DL/7 night cruise versus 7 night WDW/4 night cruise - including the airfare for the four of us from Hawaii - and it came out to be almost $500 cheaper to go to do WDW and this cruise... Go figure. :confused3

Anyways, I definitely like this option better. I  WDW in Oct. - with Food & Wine and MNSSHP - what could be better...:thumbsup2

Thanks Yellowfish. I'm looking into it right now :goodvibes . DH of course doesn't think we will have time to use it :confused3 , but I thought it would be nice to have. As long as the kids stay away from the railing :scared1: because I'm sort of a highly stressed person ;) . Thanks for the tip, I do plan on asking for that deck.

Add us to the list of Cuisers too. It will be me (DH), DW, DD10, and DS2. We will also have my in-laws coming too and getting an adjoining room on Deck 6.

We're on Deck 6 too. one inside room and one veranda room. Also I found out another yearly cruise i take with a group of women is leaving out of port canaveral on the 10th (RCI). So i'll just hang out for that night with some early birds and cruise on back down to nassau the next day. We'll also have a stop at RCI's Coco Cay. So a sort of Back to Back.

DH won a 4-night Disney Bahamian cruise and we chose this one!! :cool1: It will be DH, me, our DGS (12), his mom and dad. DH and I have cruised twice before on DVC Member cruises but our friends have never been on one. We are looking forward to this and I'm sure they will be posting soon too!

We will be staying at the Hyatt Regency at MCO the night before the cruise and then BCV for 2 nights after it. We can't wait!!! :mickeyjum

Now I just need to remember how to add a count down calendar.

Welcome Annmarie! Congrats on winning a cruise! What cabins are you staying in? You must share how your DH won the cruise. I still can't believe that this cruise is so close!

DH was one of four winners of the Disney Cruise Line House Party Guests & Friends Sweepstakes. I hosted the party and didn't win one of the two host cruises that were given away but DH was a lucky winner as a guest! It was quite a surprise.

The prize consisted of a 4-night category 9 cruise along with transportation and airfare for up to four people. We were able to upgrade to a category 8 for a small fee. We will be on deck 6 (6014 for us and 6015 for our friends). We have cruised twice before through DCL and are excited to share this trip with friends who are more like family.

So glad to see you posting. I know someone who will be close to his age . . . DH :rotfl2: is going to be 12 in August! :lmao:

I think on the first page is a post of everyone that's going with ages. That should help some!

Welcome!!!

ETA: I don't think your DH would like me to say he's 12 on the first post! :rotfl:

Will anyone else be spending time at WDW after the cruise? We are thinking about doing MNSSHP. DH & I have done this before and since we will be dressing as pirates on board, we thought we might as well do it again at MK too! We had a blast when we did this in 2006! Annmarie

I think Bob and I might be doing this. We are going to Universal first, then over to the villas at Wilderness Lodge - I think we are going on the 13th...
