OCTOBER 30th & NOVEMBER 3rd Cruises (FE and Meets)

I just sent out revised copies of the CM and Fe lists to everyone on my mailing list.

If you didn't get a copy please check with me.

There have been a few cancellations as well as new families added.

Thanks,
Kathy

Ok,
Jason (Phototech) just wrote me and said they have cancelled too.
So please remove them from your FE list that I just sent out.

I believe they were #36 on the list.
Thank you!!!

Sorry to see you go.

Contact me with your mailing address and I'll mail you your family's FE gift since it has already been made. :goodvibes

Florida Seafood is a good choice too. We won't be making it down to eat there this year. We have decided to spoil ourselves and let someone else do the driving.

Just checking in. It's 104 here with a good chance of getting to 108 today. All is well in Missouri. We are counting the days until our cruise, but we have to make it through soccer season first.

Have a great week.

omg it sure was hot in missouri today it was almost dry heat here and i live in st.peters. I wish we would get some more to cool things down abit

Thanks for the new list Kathy! I'm still checking almost every day for a Brunch. Afternoon tea came up on Saturday so I booked that just incase but really want Brunch! ARRRRR!!!

Did anyone happen to double check that there are nsy hours available? I am about to pay my balance but if there aren't nsy hours we will do wdw instead.

we are checking into it again? are u a first time sailer??

When I get another minute I'll recheck times but I would bet that there are plenty of nursery hours left. The child needs to be registered through on line check in, then you may proceed to the nursery hours. I'm hoping to pick up an hour or two for the baby once on board.

what did you guys find out? i appreciate you double checking!:thumbsup2

All, not sure if this has been asked before, but does anyone know if they are having Trick-or-treating on board? If so, can the kids dress up? I think I was told by my travel agent that they *may*, but will like to know for sure.

Thanks.

DCL seems to have trick or treating every year (we were on the Magic last year and they had it). There were several Halloween events and lots of kids and adults were dressed up.

I have an excel FE list done up based on the most recent list that Kathy sent out.

If anyone wants a copy, please PM me and I'll send it out.

I don't know how or where to post online but if anyone else does, please feel free!

sorry I haven't been around in a long time. been keeping up on our FB page though.

I just booked the Free Dining Plan for the 3 days before this trip, so I have a $25 restaurant.com certificate for Garden Groove Buffet (at the Swan) that I won't be using. Please let me know if anyone wants it.

Hi Everyone,

I'm sooooo excited the cruise is almost here. I've checked us in online, made a couple reservations, one for an excursion and one for Palo. The trip has definitely gotten the feel of being so close when you can do all that stuff. Woohoo!!

Thank you Kathleen for the updated cabin list. I love all the graphics and the way you put it together. Very, very nice!! Hugs to you and great admiration for a job well done.

For those still interested, we're trying to set up a scrapbooking exchange during the cruise. I posted way back in May the details and did get some responses. Since then, we've had some people cancel and/or change their mind so I'm going to post the information once again. The entire information. My email address is terrific_1@charter.net if you would like to correspond with me directly.

Instead of me highlighting the categories taken, I'm going to put it all in capital lettering so that it stands out. I'm not shouting. It's just that I've had trouble in the past with previous postings. Let me know IF you're interested in joining in on the fun and WHAT category you'd like to do.

I'm also making another small change to the page info. You'll still be responsible for 1 full page completely laid-out or a sample picture of what it should look like with everything to complete the page. Since most people now design "alike" backgrounds for a two-page spread, I'm asking that you also include an incomplete page that is the same as the one you did complete. For example, you're working with a page with graphic design and polka dots. Include TWO of that page...one completed and one not. IF you want, you can complete BOTH pages, but that's your choice, it's not something required. (It'll also be a nice gesture on your behalf, if you do choose to finish it).

Look for the information in the next couple future posts.

HUGS! to all!!!!

If there are any errors or corrections to be made, please let me know.

Where people had two cabins, I listed the adults in one cabin and the kids in the other just for sake of ease. If you want it changed, please either send me a PM or post here on the thread and I'll make the necessary changes.

Scrapbooking Exchange Information

What is a Scrapbook exchange? It’s a way to help an individual who wants to create a memory with their photos and to generate that memory making in an imaginative and resourceful way.

If you are a scrapbook person and want to build your scrapbook, here is a fun way to collect all your major events by having others assist you in it. Anyone who wants to participate will help scrap YOUR cruise without YOU having to do all those pages by yourself and in the process, everyone will be contributing to their own scrapbooks, too.

How can this be done? Easy…one person will create a ONE-PAGE developed scrapped page by either (A) providing the page in its entirely completed format (minus your photographs, of course) or (B) provide all the materials (with a sample picture of what it would like it when finished ) for the person to complete after the cruise.

How do I know what materials to use? 12x12 sheet of paper (either solid or designed), card stock, embellishments such as stickers, buttons, ribbon. Really, there are tons of ways to make a creative, fun page. I'll try and post links to samples so you can have a clearer view of what the finished product would look like.
How can this be achieved? …Each single scrapbook page will be divided by a category or event --more on this later-- and then you will sign up under a category/event you would want to scrap (from a list I will provide).
How many events/categories are there? Well, the possibilities are endless. However, it really depends on how many people want to get involved with the exchange. We, (myself, my daughter, and daughter-in-law) sat one night and brainstormed up to 21 different ideas.

How much will it cost me to do this exchange? That also really depends on how minimal or elaborate you want to get. Plus you have to remember you will have to recreate the scrapbook page for EVERY person who is participating in the exchange. I’d say roughly it could be about $25-$50 altogether and each contributor would get a page of each of the events/category. Wow!

How will I get the scrapbook pages to each of the people in the exchange? This is where I will ask for your opinion. Either we can have a meeting time (on the day at sea) and exchange with each other in person OR you could slide the page under each person’s stateroom door OR attach the page that would be secured in a sheet protector to the fish/fish extender outside the door.

Remember: We want to keep the pages as flat and clean as possible-clean as in no folds, crinkles, tears, or spots.

How do I get started? You will need to PM (private message) me and let me know if you’re interested and provide me with the following information:
a. your email address
b. your username
c. your real name
d. which category/event you might like to scrap. Please choose your top five just in case there are others who might have also chosen the same category/event.
e. Your choice as to how to exchange the scrapbook pages.
f. Your cabin number, if known.

In the list that follows below are the categories/events my family came up with. If you see something I’ve forgotten, please also include that in the private message to me.
1. Cape Canaveral/Cocoa Beach/Port Canaveral with ship before cruise
2. Embarkation/Through the Ears/Ship model
3. Sail Away
4. Character Meet
5. Halloween/Costume Party
6. PIRATE NIGHT (happytime)
7. CASTAWAY CAY (AmandaRG)
8. Fun at Sea
9. Bahamas/Nausau (Port-of-Call)
10. Disembarkation/See You Real Soon
11. Food/Menus
12. POOL TIME (ajaysmom)
13. DECK PICTURES/RANDOM PICTURES OF THE BOAT (TDWZ)

14. Cast Meet and Greet
15. Stateroom inside/door/magnets/fish extenders
16. Character Breakfast
17. Formal (semi-formal) Night
18. Adventures that might have been left out
19. Excursions
20. Shows/Theatre
21. The opening page to the scrapbook cruise

When you PM me, please give me the name of the event/category.
One last thing and please include this in the PM also….would you want this exchange to be done anonymously or not.

Thanks! and Whew! I know this has been a long post, but I believe I covered most, if not all, of the questions.

Let me know.

FOR DAY OF MEET: I'm providing an example of what the assignment and what you'll need to bring with you:

For instance, you’ve been assigned the Morning of cruise (not a category or event..just an example).

You will provide TWO 12x12 sheets, card stock for background, stickers, any embellishments like ribbons, buttons, etc., and a picture of the completed page example OR TWO 12x12" sheets <--one completely finished, one not. The first choice is for the person receiving your category can do it herself when she gets home. The second choice would be completed and all the person would need to finish is to insert her pictures.

IF you haven’t read all of the preceding posts, my name is Terry, your official Scrapbook Exchange planner. The following links are samples of what a scrapbook page will look like plus examples of what others have done with their pages.

For those of you participating in the FE exchange, there are a few changes on our cabin (and for those in our party of 14) you should be aware of.

Under Happytime:

Amy Boul is NOT coming on this trip. Please delete her.

My email address listed currently is NOT correct. It's now terrific_1@charter.net Please remove the other one (the tsb127 @ charterinternet.com)

Under Ajaysmom825:

This is Kim Bear's 1st cruise ever

Patti Bear's is bringing her grandson not DS. His name is Damien Seay. There are only two people in this cabin. The way the current list has it, it appears as if Damien has a twin...NOT SO...

Ashley & Brian ARE participating in the FE exchange.

On the Fish Extender booklet that Kathleen provided at the back where the FE list of everyone is located, Ashley and Brian have not been included. They would be #24. They are in cabin 8669.

On the Scrapbooking Exchange page is, there are a number of changes. If you read the above posting I just posted a few minutes ago, I've just redone the list so you will know who is assigned to do what category.

Hope this helps those of you who are working on the FE gifts.

I hate to say this after all these months but due to a change in work schedules we must cancel this cruise.:sad1:
How ever for us its not all bad as we get to do a 7 day Eastern on Nov 5th on the Magic.:yay:

I am hoping someone will want to take over the CM and FE list . Please let me know if you can do this. I will send you the mailing list and since you just received the current list you have all the information already.
Please change it to suit yourself.:thumbsup2

I will miss seeing old friends whom we have cruised with many times before and meeting new ones but life is always full of surprises.

Have a very magical cruise everyone,
Kathy
