We're in!!

We are in for FE

The confusion on the Halloween date is based on the letter that was sent out. The CM's are reading "will be celebrated on Oct 23rd and Oct 30th and stopping there. They fail to continue reading where is says on the 23rd and 30th cruises on a certain night. Unfortantly it is causing for a lot of confusion. If the supervisors would just send out guidance on this it could all be taken care of. Instead you just keep getting people who are just reading the beginning. The same CM's who say our cruise is celebrating on the 30th will also tell you the 23rd sailing is celebrating on the 23rd. They are NOT reading through the information. There is no way the 23rd sailing is celebrating on the 23rd...it makes NO sense.

It is nuts! Oh well, I'm sure all will work itself out.

Good for you! Right now I'm just doing low carb, no bread or sweets. In April I lost 25 pounds in 30 days on the HCG diet. It is a very strict and somewhat controversial diet that only allows 500 calories per day, but I found it very effective. After the diet, I lost another 5 pounds for a little cushion. I can tell I've put a couple back on so I want to lose those plus a few more because I plan on eating well on the cruise. I pretty much always do low carb, but on the cruise I'm going to live it up. I'll be happy losing 5-7 pounds before the 30th. I've also been walking every night, but I think I better get back to the gym soon!

I know all about the HCG diet, I am a personal assistant and my boss is one of their biggest endorsers :thumbsup2 I have to say though, that you REALLY have some will power because that is one difficult diet to maintain!!! Way to go!!

Haven't called. I only checked in a few days ago since we were waiting on mine and my youngest passport to arrive. I will call on Monday. We only booked in September. I don't know if that is why?:confused3

I am so excited! This trip is getting so close! I really need to start thinking about packing etc. I want to make lists today so I can at least be one step closer! I got my booklet in the mail today!! Does anyone know when the 2013 itineraries will get released? I want to book for October 2013...

Mumtotwoprincesses~ Maybe you are getting a super upgrade! :goodvibes

Well I wouldn't complain! :)

And I can't wait! Yippee!

Had a small panic attack the other day. Thought Vince had my passport with his in his apartment but he said he couldn't find it.. Turns out I had it in my super safe secret hiding place at my house that was a little too secret. I've got it now though & have since made sure to tell my parents exactly where it is too so we'll know where it is! Phew! It was a little scary there for awhile.

Don't scream when I tell you this but some people don't get their cabin numbers until they get to the port. The luggage handlers have the list with cabin assignments so they will help you with luggage tags when you get there. This is not usual, but not uncommon. On the TransAtlantic last year we started the Lifeboat Group, those of us who were still GTY a few weeks before the cruise. We figured as long as we were on the boat we would be ok, even if we did have to sleep in one of the lifeboats. I understand you are anxious to learn what room you will have and looking for a little pixie dust for an upgrade would be ok to???

Been there done that. I take photocopies of the front and backs of all the documents/cards I carry on the ship and keep it in a different carry-on then were we keep our wallets. In case anything is lost or stolen it is a good idea to have copies of all the numbers and a copy of what you had in your wallet. My medical cards, credit cards, passport, and id, front and back (back so I have the phone numbers to call) I photocopy. I put them between some of my other travel documents, like airline ticket info and cruise doc copies in the pocket of one of my carry-ons. I figure if someone steals the bags odds are they aren't going to bother looking at the boring papers. I also leave a copy at home with a contact who can give me the info if I need it. Once on board we lock our wallets in the safe. I do bring my passport off the ship with me if we are out of the country, but don't carry it in my purse. If you ever needed to fly out, for any reason, or are stopped for any reason, you'll need your passport, even if the ship doesn't require it to get back on.

I have read pros and cons over the issues of photocopying and taking your passport off the ship but after debating the issues this is what we have decided is the best for us.

I go through that every trip with Jack's birth certificate. I have never actually needed it for him, but it's the only thing I have to prove I am his only parents so I don't have forms to fill out when taking him out of the country. Thankfully I have two copies, one for me and one for my parents!

Bob and I have decided we will try for an upgrade at the pier. We will only take it if the price is ok and if we can get a room we want. If we do, we'll post our new cabin number on the white board.

Once we hear from DCL about the mixology date and from Corinna concerning the other activities we can decide on a date and time for the Champagne Girls. Are you still interested in having a little Ladies Time fun? Do you have your pink boa and tiara picked out?

We are getting excited about this cruise. In two weeks the November schedule for Disneyland should be posted. We were excited to hear from our friends that our reservations for Club33 are all lined up.

Does anyone know the height of the fish? My fish extender is long and I am beginning to worry that it may drag on the floor. Thanks!

Does anyone know the height of the fish? My fish extender is long and I am beginning to worry that it may drag on the floor. Thanks!

Specifications
The wall that the fish extender is hung on is roughly 8” wide. If you make your extender much wider, it will stick out into the hallway and/or hit your stateroom door.
The fish to hang your extender from is about 5’3” off the floor. When deciding upon a length for your extender, be sure you keep in mind that you will hang it from the fish, which will add overall length to your extender.

Hope this helps

I just read on another thread that Halloween on DCL isn't that big of a deal and that they really don't go all out for it! Please tell me this isn't true because that would be a shame!

Thanks for the quick response about the fish extender. I am 5'3 so I will go measure it against myself.:)
