Are you planning any pre or post cruise stay? If yes from when to when and where are you staying? Nope, we'll be driving in the morning of the cruise and leaving the day we get back to port. School and work are waiting for us all!

Hi Corinna! For this time, we are not planning on doing any official DIS meets as we're already travelling with a large group and need some serious downtime!

I know that we are too late for the FE exchange so we'll have to plan for that next time :)

However, my PIL are celebrating their 50th anniversary and I would love it if anyone would put up a Post-it note or little card on their Fish Extender. I think they would be so tickled by that! :goodvibes Their names are Jerry & Lorraine, I don't have their room number yet but will post as soon as I do. My girls remember planning little 'pixie dust' surprises from WDW, so I'm sure we'll be doing that again on the sly.

We are from Murrieta (Southern California), PIL live in San Pedro, CA area, so we are very close to the port. We can answer questions about the area if anyone needs help!! 11 travelling (6 adults, 5 children aged 13, 11, 11, 8 and 7). Main/first dining time. PIL have cruised on smaller ships in Europe/Africa many times but it's the first time for my family or my BIL/SIL's family.

Also, we are a Girl Scouting family - is anyone here into Girl Scouting? I'm planning for some badgework while on the ship and wondered if anyone else has done this?

We are too late for the official FE list also but will drop stuff off anyway, the pixie dust supply cabinet always has some goodies :thumbsup2

Let us know the number and we'll see what we can find pirate:

Me, too! :headache:

Good news is that I have my Secret Mickey things done and I have plenty of time to get the FE things going! My vacation started last Wednesday-I'm off until the day after we return from the cruise.:woohoo:

Getting more and more excited as it gets closer!

I am just the teensiest bit jealous. I have 3 weeks and 15 shifts left. In three weeks time, we will be at one of the airport hotels.

It will be a busy three weeks as well. Tomorrow and Tuesday, I have my admin days and will do one to ones with some of my team members and hopefully I will get the bulk of my outstanding call monitoring done. Tomorrow night, we have a team night out. We are going Ten Pin Bowling, which will hopefully be fun. Apart from this, I have a bunch of meetings including a team meeting. I also applied for a promotion last week and hopefully this means that I have to attend an assessment day and an interview before I go on vacation. So I won't be bored. The good news is that I will finish work a day earlier than planned. I was supposed to have two days off midweek next week, but they are really short staffed so I will come in for one of them and they give me the last day that I was supposed to be working before our vacation off instead.

I have decided to upgrade us to club level at the airport hotel. When I originally made the reservation, they only had standard rooms available on a travel industry rate. I just checked again last week and now they have club rooms available. As it did not cost much more and includes 24 hour access to the club lounge and breakfast, I decided to go for it.

I have added your PIL details to the roll call, too for ease of reference for people who would like to drop by a card or otherwise spread some Pixie Dust. Is there anniversary during the cruise itself?

Okay...my head is spinning, and I hope somebody here can help. Our room is a GTY room, as DP is a CM, thats the only kind of room we're allowed to book. We called to see about getting two rooms, but because its a CM discount, even though we can get two rooms, we'd have no way of knowing if the two rooms would even be on the same deck. I don't think DD would mind being on another deck, but I don't want her "stuck" taking care of her little brother. I know the kids would like the extra space and the independence, but taking the risk that they'll be very far away doesn't sound like a gamble we want to take. We decided we'd better stick with the one room. Now here's my worry; our room is already assigned, website shows stateroom 2000, which is a cat 9C, everything I see says this has either two twin beds or a queen bed and a pull out sofa. How do we know which one it is? And how can they say it sleeps 4 if its just the pull out sofa? The means DD and DS have to share, or DS is stuck with us. And two twin beds, that sounds awful.
Can anyone help here? Thanks so much!

Thank you! We're so excited! I think I am WAY more excited than the kids!

Looking forward to meeting you too. :)

The rooms that sleep four, like your room, have a queen bed that can be divided into twin beds, a sleeper sofa and a bunk that comes down from the ceiling and is above the sofa. I hope this helps.

Hello, we are also from Murrieta and will be joining you on the Oct. 2 cruise :yay: I was just talking to a co-worker and she mentioned that she knew a family that was on the same ship as me. I wonder if you're the person she was talking about. Wouldn't that be a funny coincidence?

Greetings to everyone :goodvibes I was encouraged to come join your group by another member. I know it's late in the game so I won't even bother asking about activities and so forth. But I thought it would be fun to introduce myself as yet another lucky person to cruise on Oct. 2 to the Mexican Riviera. I'm so excited! I read some of this thread ( holy cow, it's a long thread! lol). I like your Tshirt designs. It sounds like you all will have a great time getting to meet all of the people you've been talking to on here for the past year or more.

I am Shawna, DH is Travis. I have a daughter age 6 ( Faith) and a son age 13.5 ( Ethan). We're in room 7539. No plan for an upgrade, so I'm sure that's where we'll be the entire time. This is our first Disney Cruise. DH and I sailed on a Carnival ship back in 1998 for our one year wedding anniversary. Did I just age myself with that date or what !? We made our paper Countdown Chain yesterday with our daughter to help us get in the mood for an official countdown. Less than a month:yay: I've been wanting to go on a Disney Cruise for years now. Dh surprised me for my 40th birthday back in May with tickets. He's awesome like that. I'm pretty sure I'm more excited than the kids about the trip :rotfl: Do any of you have teen boys? My son is always open to making new friends. He's really friendly, but shy at first. He would love to make some friends to hang out with. He's in that teen phase where 'hanging out and doing nothing' is starting to be fun :p

Anyhow, that's our story. We're as excited as everyone else to board the Wonder and have a fantastic vacation. Anyone else going to Las Caletas in PV? We'll be there :woohoo:

I don't know if it helps but my family is in 2002 if it would help your family - we wouldn't mind moving - not that they will - just putting it out there.

That is so sweet!

I think we'll be okay. I'm an over planner and a worrier, lol. Since we booked our cruise late I have to pack all my worrying into this month. I'm going to call today and see what DCL has to say.

Do you know what the bed set up is in your room? Are your teens staying in another room?

Thanks again!
