Hi Everyone!!! Oh my goodness, I have a lot of reading to catch up on! That's what happens when work snowballs...

I'd like to welcome all of our newcomers who've recently jumped onto this cruise. It's gonna be fun!

You're all doing an awesome job on getting the Secret Mickey and FE gifts together. I'm slowly working on it, but I thrive on stress, so here we go!!!!! :woohoo:

Can't wait to meet everyone. My kids still don't know about the cruise, so planning activities is tough, but they LOVE the kids clubs. I'm a travel agent, so I'll make sure to get in plenty of 'research' time on and off the ship. ;)

I've been trying to keep up with our growing group! Our family is now beyond excited! Still so much to do! I think FE's are done, and secret Mickey gifts are done! This has been so much fun!

Thanks to Corinna! :yay:

Looking forward to meeting you all!

I am Shawna, DH is Travis. I have a daughter age 6 ( Faith) and a son age 13.5 ( Ethan). We're in room 7539. No plan for an upgrade, so I'm sure that's where we'll be the entire time. This is our first Disney Cruise. DH and I sailed on a Carnival ship back in 1998 for our one year wedding anniversary. Did I just age myself with that date or what !? We made our paper Countdown Chain yesterday with our daughter to help us get in the mood for an official countdown. Less than a month:yay: I've been wanting to go on a Disney Cruise for years now. Dh surprised me for my 40th birthday back in May with tickets. He's awesome like that. I'm pretty sure I'm more excited than the kids about the trip :rotfl: Do any of you have teen boys? My son is always open to making new friends. He's really friendly, but shy at first. He would love to make some friends to hang out with. He's in that teen phase where 'hanging out and doing nothing' is starting to be fun :p

Anyhow, that's our story. We're as excited as everyone else to board the Wonder and have a fantastic vacation. Anyone else going to Las Caletas in PV? We'll be there :woohoo:

Hi Shawna! Welcome!
I have a DS (turns 14 on Sunday), and a DD6! They will be so excited to meet your kiddos!
this is our first Disney Cruise, too! Can't wait!

I just had an email from our travel agent to let us know that the excursion that Graham had booked at Cabo San Lucas has been cancelled so now he has to find another one.

DCL called us a couple of days ago to let us know one of the excursions we booked for Cabo was canceled, also. We had to pick another. So we're doing the same excursion that DH & I did on the PC cruise, only this time we'll have the kids along.

:cutie:

Well we're still GTY, but one step closer. Our new luggage arrived today. Our old set had seen one too many Disney trips, handles held on with zip ties etc. :lmao:

I'll get to take the carry on sized one for a test trip to DL this weekend

Sorry I keep asking a million questions, I can't wait until we get back from our cruise and I can have some answers for the next first time cruiser!

So...we have the late seating for Dinner right now, and my question is; Does that leave us enough time for seeing shows and participating in things like Pirate Night? I plan to use play and dine some of the time for my little guy, but I'd really like to still be able to enjoy other activities on the boat.

Thanks in advance!!

I am sorry that you had an excursion cancelled, too. Which excursion was this and which excursion are you now doing instead?

Graham was booked on Sea of Cortez Snorkeling Experience and is now considering either the Chileno Bay Snorkeling Adventure or the Santa Maria Snorkel & Sail. I think the second option might be a slight front runner at the moment because of the sailing element. We will have a closer look at this over the weekend.

Well done on your new luggage. I did this before the Transatlantic cruise last year.

No worries, ask away. As far as main shows are concerned, there will not be any problems at all. If your on late dinner, your show will be before dinner while the early dining people are eating. There are also adult cabaret shows or game shows after dinner, but you should have plenty of time to get there. The only thing that can be a bit hit and miss is the Pirate Party. However, many people will pass on dessert in the dining room that night and then just have some dessert from the buffet. Adopting this approach should give you enough time to get to the Pirate Party.

We've done the Santa Maria Snorkel & Sail before - it's was a good trip. They take you out to Los Arcos, then across the bay to the snorkeling site.

Thanks, this is very helpful. DH selected the original trip as two of our table mates did this on the Panama Canal Cruise and absolutely loved it. How long did you get to snorkel for?

We did it on the PC trip too, but in 2008. Looking at my pics, it had the following timeline:

Arrived at cat: 10:30
Left Dock: 10:45
Lovers Beach 11:00
Los Arcos/Neptune Arch/Seal Rock 11:00-11:10
Cruse to Snorkeling 11:15-11:54
Snorkeling 12:00 - 1:00

We were booked on the Harbor Cruise on day two, just a 1 1/2 hour cruise. We are now on the Scenic Drive and Harbor Cruise. They said they are not offering the harbor cruise only tour any longer. :confused3

Corinna

Corinna, you made all these?? Looks super nice.

Clarice

Hi Everyone!
I am working on something for our FE gift, that I would like to personalize ... If you would like your last name on it, could you PM me? Otherwise, I will use your Dis Name.
Thanks tons!
Mindy

Hi Mindy,

My name is Clarice. Corinna she told me you are good at everything with personalize. I am wondering can you share some info with me? And i will be cruising with you guys on the OCt 2 too. I am thinking where do u usually buy your FE martial? Thanks.

Hi Shawna!! If you work at a school, I have a feeling that we are talking about the same person - she is my co-leader, has 4 girls and I just love her to death. :) How fun to know another Murrieta family there!

My nephew Chad will be on this trip - he will be just shy of 13yo (8th grader), and I know he would be thrilled to have a boy his age to hang out with. All of the other cousins/siblings are girls. He sounds a lot like your son - shy but will warm up if given the right circumstances. Bonus that they are from the same area (he lives in Menifee), in case they hit it off.

Kellie

Hello, we are also from Murrieta and will be joining you on the Oct. 2 cruise :yay: I was just talking to a co-worker and she mentioned that she knew a family that was on the same ship as me. I wonder if you're the person she was talking about. Wouldn't that be a funny coincidence?

Greetings to everyone :goodvibes I was encouraged to come join your group by another member. I know it's late in the game so I won't even bother asking about activities and so forth. But I thought it would be fun to introduce myself as yet another lucky person to cruise on Oct. 2 to the Mexican Riviera. I'm so excited! I read some of this thread ( holy cow, it's a long thread! lol). I like your Tshirt designs. It sounds like you all will have a great time getting to meet all of the people you've been talking to on here for the past year or more.
