tsoccer5, the easiest costume I ever did was a house wife, you know curlers,mud mask etc...not really sure that I would want to do THAT on DCL though

Are you going for a disney theme? How about a HOBO, "will work for rebooking"

I am sure others will have some good suggestions, DH and I are not dressing for Halloween and only slightly for Pirate night.

sorry once again for the MIA. It's been crazy around here . We were chosen to take part in a Asthma research study with SU. I am hoping any information we can supply them with will help other families that have children with asthma

Pam , please add my girls to the Treat or Treat list. I know they would be so disappointed if they were to miss out We will pick up some candy for the festivites.

Well on a funnier note. I just about manged to get myself kicked off the Avalanche fan club boards. Thought it would be hard but apparently talk of Jello , Twister etc does bowl over well No I actually just got a warning, the peps said it would take somewhere around 100 or so to actaully get kicked off only 10 more to go

The girls are back in school . It's so quiet around here I already miss them . They are in 1st grade already, looking back it does seem that time goes by way too fast. Sometimes I wish I held them more or played with them more or , well i'm sure many of you have the same feelings.

i have decided not to dress up for Halloween or Pirate night. I guess after 10 cruises I'm just going to lay back and enjoy the time spent with my family and all of you. I'm not as much of a planner as I used to be, seems I over planned the last cruise and didn't enjoy it as much.
We didn't even book any excursions or Spa days , we are just going to go with the flow this time I am jumping in on the booze tasting thou and Palo's

I'm already distracted and I haven't even started work yet. Maybe it's because we set sail next month!

I'm having a bbq this weekend. Just something small but I think I'm going to invite the new neighbors if I happen to run into them in the next two days.

Does anyone have a must have backyard bbq item? I feel like I'm missing something even though I've covered the basics.

Burgers and hot dogs always do it for us, along with potato salad and/or macaroni salad. Steaks sometimes too. One year I did a make-your-own-kabob bbq party with bowls of cubed up steak, cubed up chicken breast, weiners and sausages in chunks, lots of cut-up veggies etc. Very hands-on for the guests, and hubby bbq'ed them all as people made up their own. It was great

This is one that's no-sew

You need a big bag of balloons -- green or purple. And you need to wear black leggings and a black t-shirt, or something similar. Blow up the balloons and pin them all over your body, front and back, with safety pins. Make sure to go all the way down your arms as you need more at the top than the bottom. What are you? A bunch of grapes!

DW just got back from the seamstress. Formal night dress alterations, embarkation day t-shirt feminizing, bikini modification. Sorry Mr Gent, its being altered to permanently secure the side ties . Oh, and our night outfits are officially in progress. Heaven help me now.

All you parents out there - you know, the ones of tweens, do you get lots of attittude and "lip" from them? This started last year, and NOTHING seems to curtail it - I've tried everything from timeouts to groundings to no tv to whoopins...argh...I am not sure what else to try. She is even beginning to do it with her dad. I don't tolerate disrespect and call her on it EVERY time...I know it's testing, but two years??? ENOUGH ALREADY!!! Advice more than welcome.

Good Morning Moonies! I just noticed that usually dizzi puts us to bed and I'm one of the wake up ones! Oh well, somebody has to do it!

I just found out one of the guys at work is having his famous Halloween party on the 20th so now I have to dress up yet again! I may just use my pirate costume and try it out here first! I saw some costumes in the grocery store yesterday and it made me realize just how close we are to going!

I'm glad it's Friday! Tomorrow the fireman and I are headed to New Orleans for a football game, food and drinks. A much needed mini-vacation. The next time I go out of town will be to meet all of y'all!
