Morning Moon gang....:)

Morning Chris! :surfweb:

I'm glad it's Friday! Tomorrow the fireman and I are headed to New Orleans for a football game, food and drinks. A much needed mini-vacation. The next time I go out of town will be to meet all of y'all!

Hmmmmm..... will there be smoke coming from New Orleans this weekend my dear??? Or is his hose sufficient to put out any fires you might have? :rotfl2:

Got in OK.
It's raining and chilly here. I'll have a lot of catching up to do when I get back, but I didn't have a chance to say goodbye.

So, Goodbye.

Just incase I don't get back on tonight,

Goodnight to all the Wishers, Dreamers, and all other categories.

The store is only about an hour from me! Isn't this cool?

Lynn, have a great time with your daughter.

Paula, have a good time in New Orleans with your fireman. :woohoo:

We are going to dinner & then to see an 80's cover band called the Breakfast Club with my brother & sis-in-law tonight. Should be fun!!!!!

Ya'll have a great Friday night!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, last night I was on a grocery shopping date with a girlfriend of mine (we figure that if we have to do it anyway we may as well just do it together and enjoy ourselves) shopping for the bbq we're having tomorrow. We're about 3/4 of the way done when all of a sudden over the loud speaker,

"Attention Customers, everyone needs to evacuate the store."

Turns out there was a fairly decent amount of smoke near the check outs. So, we killed some time at a neighboring store until they closed. We got back to the grocery store just as yet another fire truck arrived so we called it a night (it was 9:45 at this point...).

Anyway, I kind of wish I could have asked them to just put my cart to the side so that I could pick up where I left off last night. Instead, as soon as DH is ready (really, anytime now honey) we're off to the grocery store again.

Wish me luck! :firefight

Noah and I were just getting ready to have dinner when the tornado siren went off. The sky didn't look funky or dark... in fact the sun was shining. So... I turned on the weather channel just in time to hear "If you are in Lake Orion, immediately take cover!" Now... you will all be very proud of me, I kept my cool and told Noah we were going to Uncle Larry's (he lives about 1/4 mile away and has a basement - we don't!) for a minute. By the time we got to the Jeep, the heavy rain started... Noah was a bit nervous - then we got to my Brothers and ran into the house. The sky was still pretty light.

My SIL had the tv on... and the local news had 108 mile an hour winds just about 4 miles south of us with "rotation". Ok, that's all I needed to hear. We went to the basement and sat it out. Within about 20 minutes, we came up... no damage, lots of leaves and limbs down, but nothing major! It missed us! :rolleyes1 Someone was watching over us big time!

Just 7 weeks from now, we'll be done with dinner at Boma. Enjoying the sunset at AKL. I wonder if, by this time on Friday evening, we'll encounter any moonies.

DW works tomorrow, while I'm off. I hope to get a lot done. Not least among the items is a major decision all at my company have to make: continue with the pension, or, freeze your pension where it is and go with an employer match into the 403b. I need to do some analyzing with the on-line decision tool. :surfweb:

Sunday morning calls for kayaking :boat: . We're going on a brunch paddle run by the place where we bought our boats and gear.

:groom:

Kim, I know how scary those sirens are. I never heard them until I moved up here. The first time I heard one I thought we were under nuclear attack! Not kidding! My exhusband thought I was insane until he realized it was a tornado siren I was hearing:lmao: . Glad you're OK. When they go off here, we all run to the window to see what's going on:rotfl2: We don't have basements so it wouldn't matter anyway.

As for all the fireman comments, I'll let y'all have it when we have drinks on the cruise. This is a family board and I'm afraid to comment.pirate: I don't want to be de-DISsed before we go!

Another Friday night football game for me, we blow them away 49 to 0

KIM!!! I am soo glad you are safe, how scary, good for you for keeping calm.

FOR DIZZ.........

Goodnight to the Dreamers

If I am not around quite as much it is because we live at the soccer field this time of year.

My women's team won 4-0 Thursday night, both kids have their first games this morning and DH plays on Monday nights, then there are practices and school work to schedule in the rest of the week.

Have a great weekend!

My daughter's team named themselves the Monster Sharks (uniforms are silver/grey and black), so I am thinking of giving them all homework to watch Sharktale this week... I know it is not Disney....but I think our team slogan is going to be "Fish are friends not food." and we will pretend all the other teams are minnows.

Happy Saturday
Trish

I received a call from the bracelet company today on my answering machine to call them. They cannot do the lime/white colorfill bracelets for us because our order is less than 100...they couldn't do the white/lime either or any colorfill unless we upped the order to 100 which I didn't want to do because we only have 66 orders. So........ I changed it to the plain lime green bracelets. The cost went down to 2.05 a piece. Sorry about that!!! They didn't tell me yesterday anything about order size. I hope no one is bummed.
don't worry
what ever you ordered will be fine
