Hope I'm not too late to pop in. I've been a lurker (although I think I'm about half-way through the thread at this point).

My DH and I will be joining you from the great state of California (dizney-cruiser you'll be getting a PM).

We're both in our early 30s and cannot wait to cruise in celebration of our first anniversary. We're coming in a day early so DH can experience the Adventurer's club.

Look forward to getting to know you all -- and if there are any other 30 somethings, we love meeting new people!

[Midwest Cruisers]

Yeah! We finally did it! We booked our pre and post night stays in Orlando!! We decided to stay at the Lake Buena Vista Resort Village and Spa. It is relatively new and just finished it's last building. They are still working on the 2nd pool but it is scheduled for completion in June so it will be done by the time we get there! No construction going on while we are there!! We are suppose to get a room where we can see the fireworks from MK at night. Our kids are so young and with a full day at the park, I dont think they would do well at the Halloween party. We will just come back and watch the fireworks from our patio. The hotel is also by the Lake Buena Vista outlets- last minute shopping! We still need to plan where we are staying in Cocoa Beach the night before the cruise but that should be decided in the next couple days.

Next up- airline tickets! I wish I had a crystal ball. Has anyone heard any plans from Northwest Airlines? I think they just raised prices. Do you think it is best to buy before the merger or after?

we are changing our plans yet again!!!!!































haha gotcha! we arent changing our cruise plans silly! we are changing our weekend plans. hehehe we were gonna go to Fantasy of Flight and take a biplane ride along with the museum but now we are going to Universal and Islands of Adventure, sorry disney (but i did give disney a hefty cruise donation) lol we will be staying at the Wynham Orlando Resort, looks FAB! Anyone ever been? we will be gone until sunday night, but i will have my computer with me so i MIGHT be able to get onto chat, we'll see. Well until then, Amy

I saw the navigators from a few year ago and it didn't look like there was cabin to cabin Trick or Treating. DH and I had planned to bring some candy and be a "stop" anyone know if they will be doing this?

Or is that part of the fish extender? (still new to that concept so please forgive me if that is a strange question)

Welcome to all the new cruisers

I'm posting some good news! After driving to and from Lakeland every day this week, plus all over southern Tampa for the afternoons, I've been beat and a bit demoralized.

I came home today to an envelope from Pepsi Bottling Company notifying me that I won 4 tickets to a private event at Aquatica on May 2! Food and beverages included. The park will only be open for this private party!


My kids are SO excited!

I haven't been to Aquatica (its part of SeaWorld) yet, so I'll post what it was like here.

Well...at the 6 month mark, we finally booked our flights!!! Jet Blue FINALLY posted their fares for November. It was a little less than Continental, so I am glad I waited. Also submitted my DVC request for Vero Beach for 3 nights after the cruise. Hopefully we will not have a problem booking that.

The Fish Extender Exchange is separate from the Trick or Treat. Last year Pam (Dreamcruiser100) organised a DIS treak or treat and by all acocunts it was really successful - she is going to be organising something similar for our cruise and we should hear all about that nearer the time I'm sure.

The Fish Extender Exchange will be really informal - with participants just dropping off their gifts etc whenever they feel like it. With 24 families dotted all over the ship it should help us work off the excess baggage we may well acquire when cruising!

The dark brindle smoke eminating from Southcentral Pa is us: we've decided on our greyhound's name. We'll be keeping Max. Upon learning more about him, his racing history over the last 2+ years, and the tracks he raced at, we felt like he has this lineage that we should acknowledge on some level. Bought him his first doggie tag today.
Spent much of yesterday in Gettysburg for the Greyhounds in Gettysburg event. Probably 300+ greyhounds were there. Parades, vendors, shopping at the outlets, fashion contests, ice cream socials for 2 & 4 legged participants, and more! Got questions answered, and bought quite a number of things for him (bought more today at Superpetz). As we walked around, several asked us where our dog was. There were very few people without a dog with them. In fact, I'd say that there were more with 3 greyhounds than there were with none. When we'd reply about our first adoption next Saturday, we always got a warm welcome, and words of encouragement. Now, I have to Mapquest directions to the pickup location next Saturday.
