Good morning everyone

Its a nice fresh day in Birmingham today.

We're off to the park in a while to feed the ducks then off to pick up a few xmas prezzies from the shops.

Whats everyone else up to today?

:wave2: :wave2: :wave2:

Good Morning Karen (although it's probably afternoon already in Birmingham).

Most cities around here are celebrating Trick or Treat today. We on the other hand celebrate it on Halloween night (Tuesday). I love celebrating on Halloween night because it's nostalgic for me. As kids we always trick or treated at night. Then again that was in the 60's and it was nice and safe to run around at night and even eat candy and treats that were unwrapped! Do you have Trick or Treat in the UK?

At noon we will be watching the GreenBay Packers squash :goodvibes the Arizona Cardinals. What???you say?? The Cardinals are now playing football when just two days ago they won the Baseball World Series and they moved to Arizona?? Same name, different game. :lmao:

This evening we are indulging in tradtional Pumpkin Stew at our friends house. I'm surprised I eat it considering I'm not a real fan of "meat". It's always a good time and we get to help with their Trick or Treat.

Sounds like a full day to me huh?

Have a great Sunday everyone!

Nancy :wave2: :mickeyjum

Almost changed my cruise plans this past week. My son has a week off school in February and I will have the cruise paid off by then. So I was sitting there thinking. Hmmm, I could go 8 mos early! I thought and thought about it and even looked up how much It would cost me to change. Then it hit me. My daughter would still be only 2 and ineligible for the children's programs. All the time I had been planning to spend with my wife flitted away before my eyes. I came back down to earth and decided to keep my reservations. So much the better, I'm getting used to you guys.

Hi Nancy

we do have trick or treat over here a bit but its not as big as in US. I always have a witches cauldron full of sweets but not too many call. Like you said - its not safe unless the parents are with them.

Ellis dresses up and goes to the neighbours but thats all.

We enjoyed our party last night. I was a witch! - green face aswell!! - in fact I'll post a few photos. It was a fun night. We had lovely pumpkin pie - delicious. Havent heard of pumpkin stew though - sounds nice! - can you tell I love my food! :lmao:

I still get confused with all your sports teams :confused3 - mind you, I get confused with ours too :rotfl:

Steve - glad to hear you're not leaving us :goodvibes . Our children will be in the clubs together then! - we cant wait for a bit of "grown up" time, sipping coctails by the pool without having one eye constantly on Ellis. He's looking forward to it - he'll be just 7 so one of the bigger ones in the 5-7 group. He likes the idea of not being the smallest. He's got quite a bit more confident in the last few months so he should go in without me worrying the whole time.

Happy Sunday :wave2:

I get to spend the day doing laundry...

Still having trouble adjusting to life in the real world...I keep waiting for my wake-up call from Stitch and Mickey and when I saw this week's weather forecast I said to Jason, "52 is the low temperature, right?" :teeth:

One other thing...my mother is the anti-vacation. :lmao:

we are getting ready for trick or treat tues night. still havnt bought candy yet!! its hard to get into halloween now because we did MNNSHP on sept 20th and its seems like halloween should be over.
on the bright side,we ordered our pictures from photopass yesterday and will get them soon.
We miss that wakeup call from mickey and stitch also. maybe they should make an alarm clock like that and sell it to us disney addicts.

Hello Rachael and Family!! And hello neighbor! Your group makes it 3 families from Wisconsin on this cruise. We are from Menomonee Falls and Jeff and his family are from Hartland. Our kids are a little too old for you and won't be on the cruise but I don't know how old Jeff's kids are.

Welcome to our thread and hope to hear from you soon!!

Hi Rachel

my son will only be seven so too young for you I'm afraid! Nice to have you in the group :wave2: .

Cass

great piccies - makes me shiver just looking at that snow! - we went to Calgary in May - beautiful.

Love the crib  . That tummy is growing nicely :goodvibes - give her a rub for me :goodvibes

Hi Cass!!

Welcome Winter! Today in the Milwaukee area we get our only day of Indian Summer. It should be 67. Tomorrow, a different story. The high of 44.

Great pictures and I particularly like the crib pic. Although, I half expected to see a Lion King theme with Timon as the main character in Kira's room. :teeth:

Hmmm, let's see. Who is still missing from the ranks of the Konked Kruisers? Lindy Loo and Jeff. Is everyone else back now? I think pretty soon we will need some kind of spread sheet to list us all and our families. Remember Jo and Brenda? We had some cool spreadsheet that listed all of our names, our families (cruisers only), our cabin numbers and a section where we listed special celebrations (dates)on the cruise (like birthdays and anniversaries). Who did that? Paul or Kevin...or both? :confused3

Hi everyone :wave2:

I know my DD, Rachel, posted that we are joining you but I thought I'd start getting to know everyone here too. Thanks for all the welcomes from everyone so far! This thread has 58 pages to it already so I'm not sure if and when I'll have time to read them all so I might just have to jump in from here.

There will be the three of us cruising, myself Cheryl 43, DH Al 52 and DD Rachel 13 (at the time of cruising). This will be our fifth cruise on the Magic and our fourth Western itinerary. We just got off the Magic on Sat. and booked this cruise while on board! We are so very excited to be going again in just under a year, last time it was almost 2 years in between cruises. We are splurging and will have a veranda this time  which has always been my dream (we have always had the secret porthole cabins in the past but they were all booked already). We will be in Cabin 6550!

If anyone has any specific questions abut the Western itinerary I will do my best to answer being it is all fresh in my mind from just cruising. We had a wonderful week and what I thought was great weather. It was warm/hot and sunny most of the time with just a very brief, very light rain shower on Cozumel but we were just about to pack up at Paradise Beach and head back to the town area to do some shopping anyways. The only time we really felt the ship rocking was from the night we sailed from Grand Cayman to Cozumel and then we were really rocking but non of the three of us got sick thank goodness :) . It did storm a bit that night but the only reason I know that is DH and I went up to Deck 9 for his late night ice cream snack and you could see it lightning and when we stepped out in the back of the ship where the outside tables are by Topsiders it was wet. Our day at Castaway Cay was absolutely perfect!

Nancy Hi neighbor :wave2: , we are from Muskego. There were quite a few families from WI on the Magic last week. We saw alot of people wearing either WI shirts or Packer shirts throughout the cruise. I think alot of people take advantage of the WI teachers convention and the kids having Thur. and Fri. off of school. I know thats what we are doing again one last time before Rachel gets in high school the following year. Our flights both to and from Orlando on Midwest were full, with probaly mor kids than adults on both flights. I need to take advantage of the warmer temps. today and get some last minute yard work done inbetween finishing unpacking and doing more laundry and then it's back to work fo me tomorrow. It's nice though because I have a "moms weekend away" next weekend. I'll be going with some friends for the weekend to Door County!

Cass Hi :wave2: you had started the thread for the cruise we just got off of. Congratulations on your pregnancy, hope all is going well!! It's great to see that you will be on this cruise. Just looking at your pictures of the snow makes me dream of being back on the Magic; sending some of that warmth and sunshine :sunny: :sunny: your way. Rachel loves the picture of your dogs, Lilo and Stitch. She is a huge dog lover and really was starting to miss our chocolate lab, Belle by the end of the cruise.

Well I'm off to finish the unpacking and get some more laundry done

Nancy, I'm pretty sure Paul set that up in Yahoo for us. It was pretty cool and definitely a more secure way to share information.

I will try to start pulling the trip report together later this week. Jason is already working on a slide show entitled: Plankton Takes on Disney World. The role of Evil Minion #1 is played by yours truly while Jason takes the role of Evil Minion #2... we even have a guest appearance by a mad scientist (that would be my stepfather).

Plankton is now very excited to be taking a cruise next year. :teeth:

I'm back. :sad1: We arrived home yesterday and went over to DW's sister's so DS could T-o-T with his cousins. Our community decided to switch ours to Saturday night instead of Sunday. These communities in WI need to realize that 1/2 of the people leave this weekend since it's the first long weekend of the school year. Put it on Sunday or the 31st and leave it at that.

I will post trip details when get my somewhat organized here at work. Well that, and trying to get our return flight fixed for Januare. Received an email yesterday from Northwest stating we had a schedule change for January. NWA has removed their non-stop flight to/from Orlando from Milwaukee, so now we have to connect on the way back. We are going non-stop down on AirTran (had issues with them this past weekend). Looks like we'll have to go back to Midwest exclusively from here forward.

Howdy neighbor. :wave2:

I'll fess up. I'm holding one of them. We're not 100% sure we're sailing, but it is looking better and better each week. We are on the Western this January (a little over 11 weeks to go :cool1: ), so we're debating if we want to go on another Western 9 months to the date we get off in January.

Our flights to and from Orlando were packed too. On the way back, there was a group of 7th and 8th graders (must have been 50 or more) on the plane from Greenfield Middle School. They were down on some "Ecoquest 2006". At least that's what was on their t-shirts. Then, while DW was waiting for the luggage (I took DS to get the car), 3 other full planes came in from somewhere and our luggage was the last up on the belt. Took almost an hour to get the luggage after we de-planed.

Jeff
