Hello Fellow Konked Kruisers...

If you read back a few posts you'll see that one of the DISers from our last cruise has offered to set up a Yahoo site for us. This site is not meant to take the place of this thread and would be in addition to Cass's wonderful work of art. This site would be a secured site for just us on the October 20th, 2007 Western. Some Kruisers may want to share personal info like Birthday's, Anniversaries, Home addresses..etc.

What do you guys think? Should we take Kevin up on his very generous offer?

:wizard:

Jo, that picture is hilarious. :rotfl2: Wow...were you ever concentrating.

Hey Kevin! I hope you and the family are doing well... I'm still lovin' my Cruise CD you made. It helps me get thru winter like nothing else does! :goodvibes

Hey everyone, just thought I'd share this photo of the Danny and I taken while we rode Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin during MNSSHP. Scary, Huh?
Boy, were we concentrating :rotfl:

Lindy Loo I agree with you about wishing there was photopass on the ship. We had similar problems to you when we were on the Magic last week. There were quite a few pictures that we had taken of the three of us that we were never even able to find at all in Shutters including lots of the pictures we had taken at the character breakfast. I was really upset when I couldn't find our family picture that we had taken on formal night but we were able to find the pictures of the group that was behind us in line so they were able to find ours on their sheet with thumbprints and reprint them for us. I'm glad they did because we did use one of those pictures to have them make Christmas cards for us but that is all we bought at Shutters this time when usually we would have bought a few other pictures also. It just seemed more unorganized than on any of our other cruises. Hopefully they will improve things again before next year or better yet get photopass on board!

Happy Halloween everyone :hmghost:

perdidobay... so who won on buzz lightyear? robin and i always battle it out. i used to beat her all the time but she must have found a sweet spot cause she beat me 8 straight times in sept.

Because I'm such a competitive type, Danny and I rode Buzz 3 times. He won the first round, I won the second one and I won the tie-breaker! :woohoo:

Hey Brenda,
We kept an eye out for you guys also, but since we were imbibing a good bit the whole trip, I was probably seeing double, plus I lost a contact right before the trip and I was using an old pair that weren't bifocal..let me tell you- you don't know how well those bifocal contacts work till you don't have 'em anymore :rotfl:
If you saw a person holding the menu 4 feet away, that was me!

Karen,

You'll be the first person I PM if we decide not to cruise next October. You can coordinate when we drop it so that you can pick it up.

But, if I have anything to say about it, we will be going with all of you next year.

Jeff

Ahhhh Jeff that is so sweet - but we'd rather have your family join our cruise than a free window :goodvibes

No Brenda..no such luck! I'm still here. It has been a little quiet huh? Thanks for the Thanksgiving Blessing. I'll be sure to pass it on. :thumbsup2

Since no one (except you Brenda) has responded to the Yahoo site, I decided to take Kevin up on his generous offer. Watch for info on our new secured site everyone. Kevin and I will let you know what's up.

:woohoo:

Hi Nancy! :wave2:

I'm going to start working on my food reviews tonight for our trip... How do you like this title:

As God is My Witness, I'll Never be Hungry Again

having problems with pictures so I thought I'd try posting our MNSSHP picture like Jo and Danny's.

First my pics were too big and now they're too small... what's the problem?

I've tried changing the sizes and nothing is working. :confused3

Hi all! Been busy fighting off colds around here! We too came home from Florida and got sick. Ugh.

Welcome home to those just returned, and welcome new cruisers! It's so hard to keep up.

I too hope that DCL will start using photopass. It's soooo convenient. Shutters is always so crowded, and trying to find your photos is difficult when people keep moving them on you!

We just booked 9 nights the week before Memorial Day at Beach Club Villas! We're so excited. Gonna celebrate Katie's 5th birthday at Epcot. She's crazy about Soarin'.

And we also booked rooms at the Poly both 3 nights before our cruise, and 1 night after. Decided to just go all out!

Steve - I totally agree about delaying your cruise until your little girl is eligible for the kid's club! I just told my DH we REALLY need to get cracking on the potty training for our youngest DD. Next Oct will be here before we know it. Our goal is to have both girls in the club.

Have a good evening everyone! :sunny:

Glad to see you made it back, Pooh! Nine days in May sounds like heaven to me. :cloud9:

Hey if you guys are interested I started my food review thread...not sure how good it's going to be but there are some good food pictures. I was able to get those pictures to upload with no problems but I can't get the Halloween one to work out right. Technically challenged, that's me.

Anyway, here's the link if you want to follow along as I update:

As God is My Witness, I'll Never be Hungry Again

Yeaaaah! - thank you for my new thanksgiving tag - I love it! - it only took me 5 goes to get it right!

I was determined not to :badpc: ... :rolleyes1 ...wasnt me that broke the pc darling.... :rolleyes1 .... :rotfl:

I got there in the end.

I do think its a great idea to have a spreadsheet type thing to gather everyones info. Its really kind of Kevin to offer - thank you Kevin :wave2:
I lose track of whos who even though I printed off Cass's page with the photos on.

Nancy - just checking you're ok and feeling fine(ish). :grouphug:

ps - the food photos are fab - mine would be all blurry empty plates - I would just dive in, eat the lot then think ooops - forgot the photo :confused3

bye for now - I'm off to read the passporter - it finally came (its meant to be a stocking filler for hubby for xmas, so I have to read it when he's not here :rotfl: )

Fisrt off, thank you to Nancy for "tagging" me for Thanksgiving.

Next, I'm looking at picking your brains on some things I'm looking at doing on my Western in January.

On Cozumel, what beaches do you recommend? I'm not booking the beach break through DCL. We've been to Mexico plenty of times and over to Cozumel twice. We've done Chakanaab, and were looking into maybe Paradise Beach, Playa San Francisco or a place called Mr. Sanchos Beach Club (which may be on one of the fore mentioned beaches :confused3 ). Looking for opinions. We want to give DS6 some good beach time.

On Key West, has anyone done or heard of the Pirate Scavenger Hunt? I think it is a new excursion. It isn't listed in Passporter and it wasn't listed on the info booklet sent from DCL a couple months ago. It does show up on the excursion list online, however. DS is big into Pirates and his B-day party in Feb will be Pirates. We were originally planning on just doing some things on our own on KW.

Non-excursion related question. Northwest chose to discontinue the non-stop flights between MKE and MCO, and they have no evening flights that will allow us to really do a park or Seaworld (our original choice). Plus, the last flight out will take us 7 hours to get home (the non-stop was 2 3/4 hours). So we switched to a 12:40 flight with a much shorter connection.

My question is, if we don't do the DCL transfers on the way back to the airport, can we still use the luggage service? Or is that solely for the people using the transfers. It would be so nice not to have to deal with the luggage.

If we decide to use the DCL buses, how crowded are they if we don't plan on getting off the ship until the end, say 9:00 a.m.? I don't want to get to MCO 3 hours before my flight, so we would wait on the boat as long as possible.

Thanks in advance.

Jeff

You're welcome for the Tag and I am feeling just fine. Thanks for asking. This time around I am refusing to let myself worry about what "could" happen. It's out of my hands now.

Ok so I am wondering If I should go Western or Eastern. If I choose western then this is the cruise we DW, DD, DD will be on. Can you please tell me why I would choose Western over Eastern? Or maybe it would just be for the company ? ;)
