Diane, is your family in 29 Palms a Marine Corps family? We visited friends in 29 Palms this summer. It is so hot there...and isolated.

No they just like living out there. My daughter went out there a long time ago when she graduated from high school to be near a friend in the Marines but she never married him. Diane

Robin here...

I'm still wound up. I'm not ready to go to bed. Although, we are going Croc hunting tomorrow. We're getting up at 7.
I need a new pair of crocs too. I wore out the pair I been wearing all summer. I will go shopping today with Walt. Tax free weekend. Hope it is not too crazy out there. Walt is at Harley dealer having a few things done to his bike so that is why I am dising today. Going to daughters after I finish reading. This is so addicting. My daughter is here from Dallas today for her 10th class reunion. Diane

Did anyone notice that Hurricane Dean is headed directly for Cozumel? Can anyone say "We're going to Costa Maya?"

It's going to hit Grand Cayman before that.

We may not need a hurricane when we sail to get rerouted.

How about an OT QotD?

If it were to be the last dinner you would ever eat, what would it be?

Mine would be:
Orange Roughy with green beans almondine and rice pilaf. For dessert: Tiramisu!!:yay:

I'll make sure to tell the warden. :lmao:

Your last dinner ever and you would still stick to your diet. That is determination. I thought it would have been Marty's Pizza for you.

I'm all caught up and no one is here. Talk to you all (y'all for Paige) later.

Just checking in. Seems to be a slow night. I am off to the grocery store. I will check in later.

Sounds like a good idea to me Jeff.

Maybe instead of the QotD we should post one of the menus each day and we can all say what we'd order. How does that sound? We could do it for 7 days straight or once a week on the same day (we still have enough weeks to do that).

We're not beer drinkers so it will have to be popcorn or peanut shells that we are throwing at Nancy :lmao:

We weren't at this game last year, we go every other year, we share the gold package tickets with my nephew and switch off so we get this game every other year.

Cheryl,

Can you make sure you throw some popcorn or a beer six rows down from you tonight? :lmao:

You probably could have had a mini meet last year if you knew each other.

It's going to hit Grand Cayman before that.

We were hoping to see what improvements GC has since we had been there last and they had been hit with a huge hurricane. Not sure which one it was but I know it was the year before Katrina.

We won't be at the Sept. game. The other game we have tickets to this year is Packers/Vikings game on Nov. 11.

That's great, what would be the chances. We will not be there, but will be there for the Packer/Eagles game on Sept 9th. Got any takers to meet us there??:cool1:

Morning all. i'm here just to say hi then off to the neighborhood block party.

We are also all non-smokers.

Last meal would have watermelon and mac and cheese and steak and rolls. yummy. I know it doesn't all go together but who cares!!!:goodvibes

Have fun at the game tonight.

Have fun mowing.

Any everyone else.......Have fun doing whatever. Talk later!!!

This is a great idea! once a day would be my vote.

Oh! didn't see that. Rats. I wanted to hit GC.

That menu thing would be good, Jeff. Are you going to start it today?

We are also non-smokers.....

Great job losing Nancy. Timon You also did great. Diane

Thanks Diane. Congrats on your loss too!!:thumbsup2

EXCELLENT!!!:yay:

I'm off to mow the lawn before the rains come.

See you tonight Nancy

Stay dry Cheryl. See you later.:cheer2:

Wow that food looks scrumptous. Diane

Ooh I forgot to mention that I gave my veggies to Rob :rolleyes1 I'm not a veggie girl. So I guess I never really cleaned my plate :rolleyes1

Yeah, I go to bed at 10:00 and wake up to 12 to 13 pages.

You guys sure were busy.

FYI, sorry for posting about 10 pages behind right now. I'll be current soon.

Yeah, it was hard to keep up last night. We were a chatty bunch! It was fun :cool1: Normally when I post I am alone or it's only me and 1-3 Disers on.

That sounds good to me! Let's do one per day ::yes::

Shhhhhh! :ssst: Grand Cayman is the ONE port I really don't want to miss.

Not sure which one it was but I know it was the year before Katrina.
I believe it was Hurricane Ivan. That one did a lot of damage to the poor island! :sad1:
