Wow, Nancy! I hope I'll get ours before we sail then.

If not we can always still go with just our birth certificates, passports aren't required yet unless we have to fly home from one of the islands in an emergency.

Yup, but the only thing about that is that the Passport office has the birth certificates too!! :confused3

Karen so sorry to hear about the house  :flower3: How very frustrating for you again! Good luck getting it sorted out!

Cheryl

Yes, Karen. It can be so frustrating buying a new house, but then when you are finally in it, it's pure bliss! Hang in there kid!:thumbsup2

still dont have your pre cruise planning kit. thats funny we already have ours and got another one in the mail today. althought it is addressed to someone named nancy and chuck. disney must have sent it here by mistake.:rotfl2:

:bday: party: HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESSALYN!!
party: :bday:
I wonder if you get one if you booked through someone other than Disney??:confused3 :scratchin Has anyone out there not booking through DCL gotten a kit yet????

I called my AAA TA today to pay off Tony & Stacy's cruise and she has my Cruise Kit on her desk. I'll be picking it up tonight after signing my life away on my Disney Visa card. Yeah!! More Rewards points for me. After paying Jesse and Kristin's cruise on my card, I should have enough Rewards points to pay for the two nights after the cruise at POFQ.

Cheeseheads--is this crazy weather or what? Spent Monday at Old World Wisconsin with Teddy. We ran around like maniacs all day trying not to get completely soaked. Teddy turned 10 on Tuesday--can't believe it was ten years ago that he came into our lives.

Happy Thursday!!

Victoria, I think this crazy weather is going to hit us again tonight. High winds, rain, thunder, lightning all heading our way. Hey Robin and Cass, want to join us for a mini-DISmeet in SE Wisconsin tonight?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MR. TEDDY!!!
OMG....:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I wondered why Nancy would put that in her signature!:rotfl2: :thumbsup2

Laugh it up everyone, Mr Borat disappears tonight! :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao:

I'm wondering what ever happened to Gretel.....

She was the only one of our group who had 2 teens close to my sons age,
but we haven't heard from her lately, wonder if she's still going?

I think she only posted a handful of times.

Great, I scroll up and notice all the lights are off. Nobody wants to play?

Where's AFEG (AHEG)? Where's Brenda (with AFEG)? Where's Waldo? :rotfl:

Sorry, I'm just entertaining myself.

Well, my son is 16 now. He's outgrown most of his hyperactivness, except in our brains... our way of thinking and talking...and dreaming too!
So Sean doesn't annoy of the kids in his class anymore but he gets distracted at school.
He had to go off the meds because he was losing weight and not growing.
He's very small to begin with.

He was falling behind in grades badly by 9th and 10th grade and it seemed like there was no good solution. The teachers and school board tried to help as did Sean's psychologist that he was seeing for related problems.

But I had a brainstorm idea last year and asked him if he wanted to change schools to a private school. His public school had graduating classes of 600 or more.
He was thrilled with the idea. Of course it is very expensive and I couldn't afford it, but Sean could! He has a trust fund from his father's death. We decided that it would be put to good use for his junior and senior year of high school to improve his grades so he'll be able to go to a good college.

Well.....it worked! He loves his new school.... only about 60 kids in a graduating class. It's an independent school and I really love everything about it, so does he. And he's been on the honor roll every quarter!

Anyway, ADHD is a lifelong thing. You never really grow out of it, you just learn to adjust.

I'm off my meds again too, because they raised my blood pressure so badly, but I'm taking something else that is for depression but also seems to help with the ADHD.

At least I have an easy job, I know it well and don't have to really focus...everything is automatic since I've done it for 21 years.

My friends have learned how to deal with me and I try too, but my poor boyfriend, he's having a hard time dealing with both Sean and I. He says that he has never met anyone like us and it's very hard for him.

Sean and I can understand each other well, even if we forget words and say "you know" and skip around conversations and barely ever look at each other when we talk and rarely do one thing at a time, and interupt each other often.

It makes Bob feel like an outsider.

Anyway, that's our life, we are who we are and there isn't too much we can do to change ourselves.

Good luck Jessalyn!

Rose

So here's a few questions for all of you. Maybe this should be a Yahoo poll, but here it goes anyway.

Who's printing their DISname on the back of their shirts?

Are you wearing your shirt along with your bracelet on Oct 20th for the DISmeet and in the terminal?

Are you wearing your shirt at the "Wino (sp?) DISMeet"?

Should Jeff be made to wear Borat's swimsuit as payback for what he did to me?
(Tee hee).

:cool1:

Hadn't thought about it yet.

Yup!:) :cool1:

Are you wearing your shirt at the "Wino (sp?) DISMeet"?

:confused3 Maybe? Did we say we're going to have our photos taken in them?

Should Jeff be made to wear Borat's swimsuit as payback for what he did to me?

:rotfl2: Thought it was very funny... Sorry Nancy!!!!!:lmao:

Nancy,

Was he born in Milwaukee?

If so, you can just go down to the main building where the courthouse is. Go to the Registrer of Deeds office. You can get a brand new one, with the raised seal, for only a few bucks (and a little bit of your time  - those lines seem to be slow) and you'll get it that day.

I'd do it now just to have a copy. You may need to resubmit, plus he'll need a copy for the marriage license I think.

I just forked out $15.00/ea for the ones I sent to the Passport Office. Now I hear the certified copies are going up to $30.00/ea. I have extra's of my kids but Jesse and Stacy sent their originals in for passports. Just an added expense that I don't think is fair we have the shell out to Uncle Sam.

BTW...I had to remove Borat because I was posting on other threads over lunch. I didn't want anyone sending me hate mail. :rotfl:

How are my other Wisconsin friends going to fair w/this storm??? I'm hoping it misses my area, the forecast says that we are favorable to get hail the size of baseballs.

Cheryl- enjoy WDW, wish it was my family.

Heather- Welcome back.

We haven't gotten our precruise packet either....have all of the ones that have gotten theirs cruised before??? I was wondering if that is why some have gotten theirs and some not.

Ok I just called Dis demanding our cruise packet. Well I made DH call he is nicer then I am. I am feed up with AAA not getting back to me so I decided to go straight to DIS.

As for the cruise planning packet it will generally go out 75 days prior to sailing. However if you have cruised with Dis before then you get yours early. So 75 days for us will be Aug. 6th. They said we should get it a week or so before that. So the end of July.

I was also told by AAA that our minor children would need to have a birth certificate, a passport and a state ID. Well then the passport thing got pushed out so I wanted to check on the state ID. No you do not need a state ID and if you have a passport you do not need a birth certificate.

Also AAA told us the our DD that is 12 would be allowed to pick if she stayed with the 12 year old or went in with the teens because her birthday is close to the sailing. Her b-day is Jan.8th. Well Dis just informed me that no she can not do that. Only if we were sailing in December. Guess I need to tell her that she can not go do the teen stuff. :sad2: That means she won't be able to hang with Racheal. :sad1:

Hey Nancy!!

I'm not printing my disname but thought about my real name in neon green ears......

I will be wearing my green bracelet but I'm struggling about wearing the shirt....FIRST TIME CRUISERS TAKE NOTE! When you board the ship, cast members are waiting to take that first GREAT picture of you and your family in front of a cruise background!!! I'm a little selfish in wanting this to be a "nice" family picture as it has been in the past. (not that our shirts won't be nice) I don't know.....I'm weird I guess!:sad2:

Yes, I would wear my t-shirt to the wino meeting......

I would answer yes to the last question, however it is a family cruise and oh, the children..............( jeff)

Don't get too discouraged by this just yet.........when you call and talk with DCL over the phone they have no option other than to tell you what they have been trained to tell you.......to quote you the rule book. When you board, however, it is sometimes a different story.....It all depends....if you get a castmate that is willing to bend the rules and the club that you want her in is not too crowded, they may let you make the change......unfortunately all I can tell you is you will have to wait until the day we board......;) (hang in there;) !)....They have let us make a change on previous sailings!

Breaking news on Madelaine - someone has made a call saying they know where she is - I hope its genuine

no more news ?? I ve been waititng for the news to come on. fingers crosed its not a hoax caller. The police do seem to think it might have some truth in the content ???

What rollercoaster of emotions!

Happy 40thBirthday Jessalyn!
Rose
Yes Happy Birthday Jessalyn, all "cool" people are 40 this year ( arent they Karen ! );)

Good luck with the weigh in tomorrow all you losers !

Its midnight here and I need to go to bed, other wise the munchies set in and I will start nibbling !

Send me some pixie dust ................. when I stand on those scales in 9hours time! :scared1:

I wish I could. Enjoy. :)

Robin

My AAA TA sent out our pre-cruise packet this week. It was fun to get. I don't think that there was any earth shattering info included. Most of it is what I already know from DIS. The pre-cruise gifts were pretty neat.

Answer to your questions...

Possibly

Yes

Yes

and definately Yes Sorry Jeff. (Paybacks are a "whoops", Paybacks are tough. )

Robin

Now that I think about it. We'll probably wear the shirts for the meet but not for the pic when boarding the ship. Even though on one of the last cruises we took, they had such an ugly background, we didn't even buy it.

Hopefully, they'll have a better background this time.

Rose

I can relate to everything you have said about the conversation and looking all around. She is very like that too. We have a real problem with getting her to eat too - I know its a side affect of the meds so we try to get her to understand that she has to eat even if she doesnt feel hungry. Though I must say that it was more of an issue when she was on Ritalin - now she is on Concerta which is supposed to be better for teenagers.

She is moving into High School next year and I am a bit worried about that - a lot more distraction, more risks, and more reasons for problems. I wish we could afford Private - but its a new high school and so there will only be grades 9 and 10 this coming year.

I assume Sean will be on the cruise. Hopefully they will find each other at the Stack and hang out.
