Gosh Denine, I know I shower. What is up with the two of us? Guess we will start our own thread. Just the two of us.

One more nice day and then we go down to the 50's. Can't even complain about that. They are hoping we might get some showers tomorrow afternoon. I really hope so. Our lawn is so dry.

Today I get my haircut. Can't wait. It has been 10 weeks. A bit too long for me.

Kaleigh weighs more than Graci. She is only 22.1. She is so tiny for two. She just had her birthday on Monday. I still see her as a baby because she is so tiny.

Okay I get my internet access back, and there is nothing to read on this thread. What is up with that, something just seems to be wrong with this situation. Come on guys, I may only have internet access until March 31, give me something to read!!!!

Okay maybe this well help get people talking. I am trying to buy a point and shoot camera with zoom capabilites. My mom has an excellent one that is a few years old and I want a good one too. I have an SLR camera that takes beautiful pictures, but everything is manual and I would like to be able to grab the camera and take a quick picture without having to put the lense on and set up my camera. I keep borrowing my moms and am afraid I might lose it, so I need one. I do not want a digital camera. Any suggestions? Anyone out there? Help me!!!!

Wow, Stacey just called. She was just notified that someone stole her debit card number and have used over 1200 dollars in JAPAN. There are more purchases out there but it will not come out of her account. Those were denied. So as it stands she is out of the $1200 until the bank reviews all the paperwork that she needs to turn in and then the bank will reimburse her. Poor thing. At least the bank caught it after 3 transactions and called her.

Lunchtime and still no one else has posted. I am getting kind of dissapointed. When I first started lurking there was so much to read about and now I am talking with my mom (which I can do at home) and Denine. Where is everyone at? It's Friday, its sunny out and a beautiful day. TGIF!!! Come on out everyone I miss you all.

OK, here I am. I can't post from work so you didn't hear from me yesterday except in the morning. Then after work Paul and I went to BJ's to buy A LOT of stuff. We are "helping" with the Hockey Boosters Club PLayer Appreciation Dinner on Sunday. Paul was supposed to price the chicken and help cook. Somehow that has turned in to us buying all of the food, paper products, serving items, etc. Plus we get to do the cooking on Sunday with only a couple of people helping. This is for about 130 people!!! We are not ahppy campers. In fact, after this event, we are leaving the boosters club. Too much back stabbing and talking behind each others' back. Also too many people that won't do their share of the work. I had not been posting about this because it was driving me nuts!!

Anyway, I am supposed to be working from home today but did have to go in for a frustrating meeting from 1:00-2:30. Now I am back home and thought I'd take a minute or two and check in with my friends! I miss you guys.

It is in the mid 70s outside today and beautiful! However, the tree pollen is taking its toll on me!! We need a good rain to clear the air.

We are going to a hockey game this evening so I may not get a chance to post again. We'll see.

My mom just called me to inform me that I just got a jury summons in the mail. My first one, hopefully I can get out of it. My ex-boyfriend had one 2 years ago on my birthday and it lasted all day long and almost night before he was dismissed, that was even my 21st Birthday!!! What a birthday to miss!! Oh well!! Have a great weekend everyone, I am off of work now.

Hi Susan, happy to hear from you but sorry about everything that you are going through with the Boosters Club. I am not surprised however. It just seems like in those types of clubs there are workers and there are slackers. The back stabbers seem to be on both sides. Can't figure that one out. You will certainly be tired after this weekend. We have been harrassing people about posting but believe me we understand your schedule!

Stacey just got back from the bank. They DID credit her with the 1200 and then closed her account and opened another one. What a pain this will be for them. Another debit just hit for 25 CENTS at an Art Gallery out East somewhere. What in the world costs 25 CENTS at an art gallery?????

Ok I'm here. I haven't gotten a chance to get on until now. Since Garry sleeps in the late morning and early afternoon, I don't get on much except for late at night.

Heidi, sorry to hear about your jury duty. Garry got one and has it the week of Memorial day. He got to pick which week he wanted to do it. He will have to go the entire week even though he probably won't get picked since he is a police sgt.


Had a nice anniversary even though Garry had to work that night. I did make him filet mignion (sp) and crab legs for dinner. We will be going out for our anniversary tomorrow night (hopefully ) Our babysitter's mom just called and told me that she is sick, so Unless I can talk my parents into cancelling their plans to watch the kids, we will have to do it another day. I'm thinking positively!! Garry and I figured out that we haven't been out to dinner in over 4 years! Believe it or not!! SO this will be very nice!


Susan, keep your chin up! I know how booster clubs can be. At least we KNOW that it will be done right since you and Paul are doing it!!!

Sandy, how on earth did they get her debt number? In Japan? WOW! Nothing is safe anymore!

Well, Makenzie and I have swimming class tomorrow morning. I promise I will check in sometime tomorrow!!

Good morning everyone. Another beautiful day here in NC. The sun is out it is already 68 and its only 7:30am. We may hit 80 today!

Thought I'd go ahead and post since we have a lot of running around to do today to get everything ready for this dinner tomorrow. We have to go pick up the chicken (150 lbs.) before 12:00.

I guess tonight is date night for Denine/Jerry and Julie/Garry. I hope the babysitting works out for you Julie!

Hang in there Heidi. Maybe you won't get picked for Jury Duty or maybe it will be a quick one for you.

I'll try to get on again sometime over the weekend but I don't know when. Have a great weekend!

Heidi: Too bad about jury duty. It could be really intersting though. Unless you have a good reason not to go, they won't let you out. They may let you choose a more convenient time. I like my Pentax EZ Zoom camera. I have had it it for a few years.

Sue: How horrible that you guys ended up having to do all the work. I don't blame you guys for leaving the booster club after this. Maybe you guys should get honored at the APPRECIATION dinner.

Jeanne: Sounds like you and Joyce enjoyed yourselves.

Sandy: A friend of mine at work has a 6 month old that weighs 22 pounds! Too scary about Stacey's debit card. At least the bank is going to forgive it.

Jerry bought me flowers last night. We are trying to get some chores done before our date tonight.

Hi guys, no news here. Probably because I posted tons yesterday. Got my haircut very short. I chose between two different styles and this one is shorter than I had planned. I will have to give it some time. I think it will be much easier to take care of with my curly, wavy, frizzy hair.

Everyone enjoy their date night. No plans here. Maybe movie night tonight with Heidi. We are going to roast marshmallows. Yes, I said roast marshmallows. Simply use a sterno can. It works terrific!!

Jeanne, one week out. How exciting. You will definitely have a blast. You have so much fun things planned. Now you have put me in the mood to go back to CA. Since we started the FL thing I lost interest in CA until now. Your mentioning of all the spots did it. I remembered all our fun we had as a family.

Susan, the weekend is here and will be over before you know it. Hang in there! I agree with Denine, YOU guys should get recognized!!

Hi All! Back from swimming. Makenzie is becoming a fish!

Denine, I was refering to OUR DATE nights! We haven't been out with just the TWO of us in over 4 years! The dinner before the cruise with you guys was the first time in a long time we went out with other people. Unlike other newlyweds, we had a child from day one (Anna Marie) that was with us most of the time since she wasn't in school yet. But don't worry, my parents canceled their plans so we could celebrate our anniversary, finally! I hope you have a great evening with Jerry! Have fun, you guys need a night out on the town just like us! Littles ones take up a lot of mommy and daddy time (but when they smile at you, it is all worth it!)

Susan, let us know how things go tomorrow! I know with you and Paul at the reigns, things will go great!

We had a heavenly time last night. We got to the restaurant a little early. We didn't know how long it was going to take to get there. The restaruant has 6 fireplaces. We were seated next to one as requested. It felt sooo good on my back. I was nice and toasty. The food was fabulous. We each had a glass of white wine. They brought us a small relish tray with carrots, celery and olives and a small dish of cottage cheese to use as a dip. Then they brought us some cheesy garlic bread and our salads and appetizer. I had the fresh mozzarella and tomoto salad (yummy!!) and Jerry had a Caesar salad. We shared brie with crackers and puff pastry as the appetizer. Since we replaces our house salads with the other ones, they brought us dishes of applesauce. Then came dinner. I ordered red snapper stuffed with crab and lobster meat with some sort of butter sauce (out of this world) and Jerry had the New York strip in a garlic-wine sauce (also very good and tender). We were full after that. So, we didn't order dessert, but they looked quite good. It was so nice to get dressed up and go to a restaurant and see everyone else dressed up too. It was nice to feel special for a night. When Jerry went out to the car for something, he saw a Rolls Royce pull up. Don't see many of those around here. We used our Entertainment card. They don't punch it, so we can use it again. This was definitely NOT a place for kids and it was nice to get completely away for an evening. Kaleigh didn't even miss us. This is the same girl that wouldn't even let me leave the room the other night. We didn't stay out late. We drove around a little after dinner.

Julie: How was your date?

Yesterday was also beautiful weather wise. It is also supposed to be nice today then the yucky stuff comes back tomorrow.

I am too lazy to log off of my mom and then log on as me and have to log back off of me and back to my mom so I am just posting under her name!!

Went shopping for cameras. I am stuck between 2 cameras. I will buy either the Minolta Freedom Zoom 160 or the Pentax IQZoom 170 SL.

Denine - with your pentax, does your pictures come out very crisp, well focused, and beautiful bright vibrant colors? Have you ever had a problem with it or a concern with it? I am leaning towards the Pentax because for $20 more I can get more of a zoom with the Pentax.

Lori, I see you on the computer. How was the trip? I sure thought of you. Can't wait to hear about it. Did you go to the Flying W Ranch, the North Pole, the Wax Museum, Garden of the Gods, Seven Falls, Cave of the Winds, Olympic Training Center, Air Force Academy, Fargos? How is JoJo?

Denine, you had Anna Marie babysit, right? Well, she is so perfect that any child would love her. Your night sounded PERFECT from all aspects, the dressing up, the food, the atmosphere. Good for you two!

Susan, I feel for you. It's so annoying when some people just leave it up to the usual troopers to keep things running. After busting my but running the CubScouts popcorn program this year, the Pack Master was asking for volunteers in another thing. I overheard two Mom's in the back say "Oh, let the others do it, they just LIVE for this stuff". I was SO pissed! We're just trying to keep a program for our kids and THEIRS running nicely. Then, the one's that don't pull their weight think that they are so much more busy than the rest of us. As you know, it wouldn't be too much work if it was just spread out evenly. I think you should step back and let some others step up to fill the void.

Good luck on a short jury duty Heidi. Ben's last one ended up being a long running murder trial. I think a one day'er would be interesting, but not too intrusive. Never done one myself. (knock on wood). Oh, and a plug for Pentax... I think the company is in So. Denver area, so if it needs to go in for service, it's easier than shipping it off.

We did our part in helping out the wealth of Colorado Springs. Wish I had Staceys credit card We kept very busy seeing places and living it up. We passed Fargo's on the way to Joe's Crab Shack. (Umm, that was yummy stuff.) Thought about changing plans and go to Fargo's but thought Barb and Sandy's group would rather I left it intact for them.

JoJo is really a sweetheart. She doesn't bark much and we're working on getting it down to nothing but a genuine warning to us. Our older dog Gracie is so good about not barking at anything but people and animals actually in contact with our property. Then she stops as soon as I tell her "OK,thanks". The one thing that I am concerned with is, JoJo's tear ducts are in overdrive for some reason. I'm wondering if its an allergy or what. Her medical records mention the drainage so I know it's been going on all her life, but all they've done is test that they aren't blocked. I hope this isn't an expensive to fix thing. She looks old and weepy with the wet trails running down her face. Just cosmetic I guess, if she feels fine. Does anyone know about dogs and runny eyes???

It's 3:25 AM & I woke up & can't get back to sleep. Just too excited about California & thinking about all that still needs to be done so where else would I turn but my "Disney family".

LORI: JoJo sounds terrific. I visited with my Dodger yesterday & really miss him! Having a boyfriend intereferes with being Dodger's Mommy but if I am out all the time it wouldn't be fair to bring him here to stay alone - plus the cat still has the cast on!

DENINE: Back to the old days of you & Jerry alone. I bought an Entertainment book for California & can't resist those buy one dinner get one free!

SANDY: Miss you!

CPR today & then a pedicure & fill-ins. Working Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday. Off Friday but Teddy has his "hearing". My hairdresser is coming on Friday night to do my hair & then it is off to California on Saturday. I will try to post before I leave but no promises. My daughter DOES NOT have a computer.
