Lori: After you make the spiced milk, let it sit for a couple of days in the fridge for the flavors to meld. The cardamom was $10 for a small jar at the store. It is really good though, I made myself another cup yesterday.
You need to show pictures of the puppy when you get it.

Sandy: OK. What is a King Soopers?
We really can't wait for WDW. It snowed again today and it is quite cold.

I am done with work for another 2 weeks!

Denine, done with work for two weeks?? How wonderful! I am on the last day of a 1 1/2 week vacation from the kids. It WAS nice other than my cold. King Soopers is a grocery store chain out here. Gotta run. It is time for High School Reunion TV show. Yes I know, another reality show!

Good Morning. Woke up yesterday and it was 50 degrees....woke up this morning and it is 27 degrees. What happened to spring?

Well. Ryan called Saturday. Can you believe they asked me to babysit? At their house of course. I would have done it if it wasn't for the insult last weekend. I told him this and a rather large disagreement ensued. IT did not end well. They are always right of course. My home is not fit for Olivia...main sticking point was my carpet! Felt I wouldn't have vaccumed it well enough. I am no longer a mother to that ungrateful person.

Lori-How wonderful to get a dog!! ALthough I hope you don't mind barking dogs. Beagles love to be heard! My neighbor always had one. I could be guarenteed to be up as early as the neighbor was each weekend! Fun dogs though. And smart. Full of energy. She should fit in very well with your family.

Ok Denine...do you have a recipe for Starbucks Toffee Nut Latte??? I love those but stay away due to cost and calories!

Jeanne...now maybe we can get together once I have the car!

Turner-Keep up the great work at school and in hockey. What a terrific kid you are!

Patty- send some hot air east please!

Off to work! UGH! So busy I don't know when I will get to see Glenn again! Bummed!

Hello all.

It snowed again today. I am so tired of this.

Bonnie: They have a problem with your CARPET? They really need to get over it. Sorry, no recipes for coffee. I don't drink the stuff.

Had another B12 shot today, but nothing else going on.

GLenn is flying in for Easter!!:bounce: :bounce:
I offered to cook Easter dinner for my mom, Pam and 2 aunts from Boston...well now poor Glenn gets to have Easter dinner with 5 women! Actually 6 if Pam brings her mom down from CT. I am soooo excited!

That is all that is new around here! At least it is good news for a change.

18 degrees here! It is supposed to warm up though.

Oh! We had an earthquake here yesterday...sorry I missed it. 2.0 only but it was felt. One of my work at home nurses thought her heater was ready to blow or something when she felt the rumbling. Perditta didn't say a thing about it so I imagine she slept through it.

All right all you slackers and lurkers. Time to start posting!!!!!!!!

Bonnie: That is great news about Glenn. I hope he can handle all those women!

It is finally supposed to warm up a little around here. 40's todayand 50's the next couple of days. Maybe Spring will come afterall.

Just counting down the days till Jerry and I get to go on our date. :lovestruc

BONNIE: I hate to brag but I will be in sunny:sunny: California for Easter with Summer but I guess Glenn being here is about the same.

I can't wait for this vacation::yes:: . I bought a "City Pass" which gives me admission into Disneyland for three days, Knott's Berry Farm, San Diego Zoo & a few other places. It was $179.00 which I considered a bargain! I haven't been to Disneyland for 33 years!

Bobby is home:love2:. He was away for way too long. I don't know how Bonnie survives. He keeps reminding me that I am going away for 10 days. Poor Bobby has a nasty cold but felt alot better after his son called from Iraq last night. His son's company has a website set up in which all the parents, girlfriends, relatives, etc. communicate with each other.

SANDY: I told Joyce about the plans I made & you know Joyce she just goes along with the flow & she was even okay with not going to WDW. We would love to go to Downdown Disney with you & Ted to get our Disney fix.

Miss you all! :grouphug: Have a great week. As Bonnie said, it was 32 degrees this AM. WHERE IS SPRING? :cool2: Toodles JEANNE :wave2: :earsgirl:

Good Morning!

Denine made me feel guilty for reading every day but not posting..........I'm a lurker.....again :(

Missy's (Barb's daughter) boyfriend is home safely from Iraq, thank the Lord.

Still having summer weather here (at least what most of the country has for summer, we have 100+ in the summer) but they are predicting a freeze in April. Who "predicts" this stuff anyway?

I'm excited for you about Glenn coming for Easter Bonnie. Maybe you can forget how mean your son and his wife are to you for a few days.

Sandy, we're still on for the 4th on our end......we're excited. You'll get to meet my daughter Julie and Dylan too.

Well I managed to go home and get on the computer, I needed my internet fix and I needed to catch up on the boards. Its kind of a bummer not having email or internet access. I didn't realize how much I used it before.

Well what my mom told you all before was mostly rumors about what we heard. We finally have some real public information about why we don't have internet access. There has been non-stop meetings regarding all of this and today my big boss made it clear to us what was happening. Here we go, trying to make a long complicated story short.

I work for the agency of Bureau of Reclamation (BOR) but above us we belong to Department of Interior (DOI). In DOI there are several agencies below them like my agency. One of these agencies happens to be Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) and a lawsuit happened in 2001 regarding Indian trusts with BIA. Some one in BIA stated that a high schooler could hack into their system and get Indian Trust data because they are so unsecure. There went the indians with a lawsuit. Now that same judge is playing a political game and took away DOI and all their agencies internet access away because suposably all DOI's agencies have Indian Trust data and isn't secure. BOR hired an outsider to come in and evaluate and we have been found that our Indian Trust data is secure, but the judge is being difficult and won't let us gain access again because we are apart of DOI. So now comes the lawyers. We could be off the internet for 6-8 months.
We were able to designate a few employees who are to be considered essential to have internet access only for business, thank goodness it is not me. If you do the wrong thing on the internet right now you can be held in contempt. Thats all I have for now. Can't wait to get back on so I can read and lurk again.

I hope all of you are doing well. Next week I have a Retro Pay Adjustment that we have to do for nearly 1,000 people. Very long hours and even more inconvenient for those of us who aren't considered "essential" and have limited access to our computers.

Denine, I decided not to post for awhile so the SLACKERS/lurkers wouldn't have anything to read. :hyper: I know, shame on me!!!!

Jeanne, can't wait for the trip. Your trip to CA sounds like a bargain. We haven't been to DL for something like 12 years. We were at Knotts Berry when a 6.1 earthquake hit. Actually it was one of those after shocks. We didn't feel it but everyone else was running around like crazy. Even Security so we stopped someone and asked. Stupid us! The girls had to get off a ride even.

Patty, that will be great to meet some of your family and EVEN YOU!! ::yes::

Bonnie, Easter sounds wonderful. BUT...poor Glenn with all those women. Hang in there lurker Glenn!! Speaking of earthquake you had one. How interesting. Didn't even know that you had any out that way.

Hate to tell you all that our weather is soooooooo fantastic. Has been for quite awhile and even for another week. The temp is great but once again we need the moisture. Fire season is here early even.

You lurkers better post soon or the mounties will come out again.

I need help from all you medical professionals. What type of doctor is one that has D.O. behind his name? Osteopath?? Heidi's boyfriend hurt his elbow and shoulder snowboarding last week and has an appt with one tomorrow.

See, I can't stay away too long. I miss you guys!!:grouphug:

OK here I am!!!

Nothing can take away from how proud I am of Turner but he is not going to the national tournament in Florida. Its a long story and I'll spare you the details but let's just say the school system and superintendent have not handled this very well. Turner's school and Academic Games coach/teacher and principal were wonderful but it just isn't going to happen. Turner was very disappointed and cried. No, make that sobbed!!! I think he is ok about it now and he will be going to DC for the hockey tournament instead. At least he has something to look forward to anyway.

Heidi and Sandy - how about going to DC late April? Turner's tournament is April 24-25 and we have decided to take a couple of extra days to stay and play! I'm not sure if we will go a few days early or stay a few days late. Would love it if you guys could come out there then. In fact, everyone should try to come and we can make it a reunion!!!

No need to send the mounties to me! I promise not to stay away from the boards so long again!!

Miss you all!

Glad to hear Missy's boyfriend is home safe from Iraq.

Bonnie, so it will be Glenn and the women for Easter. Glad to hear you get to see him again. I don't know how you handle the long distance romance!

Heidi, good to hear from you. Too bad about the internet. We do miss your posts on here.

Lori, do you guys have the beagle yet or is it this weekend you get it? You'll have to send us pictures.

Sandy, I hope you and Ted get over your cough soon. I still have some of it and I have about 4 more days of the antibiotic. I do feel alot better but my alergies are giving me so much trouble on top of this. The trees are blooming all over the place around here. Tree pollen is one of my worst offenders and I am always miserable this time of year. Got the pictures you sent. Thanks. I think acting is a fall back plan for Turner.

Denine, sounds like you have your trip all ready. Wish we were going. I hope you and Jerry have a great date this weekend. I know you deserve some time out together.
Jeanne, glad Bobby is back with you. Sounds like he'll get to communicate a lot with his son via the website. That's great.

This evening I am going to help some other moms put together some gift baskets for the teachers at school. Next week is Teacher Appreciation Week at school. So, I may not get back on this evening but I'll be back tomorrow.

Love ya!
Later!

Gotta go get ready for wrok. everyone have a great humpday!

Good Morning!!

It has been a busy busy busy time for us. Mike got home safe and sound Saturday :Pinkbounc Monday was his birthday so we went to his sisters to celebrate.

The Thorn is getting closer next Tuesday is our first performance
there are a total of 13 performance over 2 weekends.

It has been so busy at work. There are 5 on my team and 2 days in a row 3 did not come in. Not a fun time. 2 of us to take the calls that usually 5 take.

I am looking forward to the 4th. Sandy, Heidi, Ted???

Barb:smooth:

Yeah! We got some posters. Something to read for a change.

Barb: I hope your production goes well. It is always nerve wracking when it gets close. I was in 4 musicals in highschool. I couldn't act, but I could sing! Glad to hear Mike made it home safely!

Sue: Sorry to hear Turner isn't going to Florida. At least he has his hockey to go to. I am sure he will have a blast! Blooming trees? What are those?

Jeanne: Some people I know are also able to communicate with their son in Iraq via the internet. Glad Bobby is home! Your City Pass sound great. I have never been to Disneyland. I want to go someday and stay at the Grand Californian.

Patty: Great to hear from you, even if it was because I made you feel guilty for not posting.

Heidi: What a confusing mess! OK, call me uninformed, but what exactly does the BOR do?

Sandy: Yes, we do have earthquakes out this way, just not many, which is actually amazing since we have a rather large fault running under Lake Erie. The last quake I remember here was in 1986. I was upstaris in my room, in my bodycast, and the attic door just started shaking violently. I don't remember anything else shaking. I tried to run to the stairs and fell. Who can run in a bodycast? My mom thought it was the furnace or hot water heater going to blow up. We later found out it was an earthquake. Not long after the earthquake, the space shuttle blew up. I watched that on TV. It was a long time after that that I was able to watch another take off.

It's raining, it's pouring.... but it's supposed to get up to 50.

Bad news, for me anyway. Kaleigh figured out how to climb on the kitchen chairs last night. She already moves them around. Now she will be able to reach what she wants. Nothing is safe around here! She is saying more words everyday now that she has conquered climbing. the newest word is happy. She says it so cute. It goes up at the end.

3 more days until date night!

I lost 2 pounds this week.

Barb, we are still on for the 4th, too. Just not sure yet about Stacey and Richard. Who on your end?? In a way I bet you are looking forward to the end of the performances. I bet you are soooo tired!

Susan, I feel for poor Turner. I guess it just wasn't meant to be. Glad I sent the pics when I did so that he got a laugh. I didn't realize that you suffer from allergies. That can't be any fun! We can't go to DC until the Govt decides when Heidi has to go. I will cross my fingers. It would be great to go when you are out there. I want Heidi to meet all of you sooo bad. ::yes::

Anybody know what kind of a dr. a D.O. is??

Hi Sandy

It will be Bob, Tiffany and I. Hopefully my Mom and Dad
Patty, Ken, Julie and Dylan. Did we decide on a time??

Hi Denine, we just cross posted. Ohhhhh, you are in for a "good" time now!! Kaleigh is climbing on the kitchen chairs. That is never fun. Wow, a body cast? What for? You poor thing.

:umbrella: At least someone is getting rain. Ho hum, wish it was us! The :sunny: is nice but we really need the :umbrella: .

Don't forget that Survivor is on tonight everyone.

Hi Barb, I missed your last post when I posted to Denine. Sorry! You said 11:00. Is that still good?
