Hi guys,

A very busy hectic, hectic day. Just wanted to check in before Ted takes the computer over tonight. He has to write his own review about himself for work. Now that is crazy!

I heard from Darren. He will be in the US the beginning of January. He is so excited. He is bringing two friends with that have never been to the US.

Barb, Mike is full of you know what. Missy will be just fine. Remember....I used to work in the Courts and have heard it all.

Well I think I may be crazy. I am at work and all they keep talking about is today and tomorrow will be the Blizzard of 2006. It is blowing snow and we are supose to get up to 2 feet today. What was I thinking coming in to work today? They already closed are school district for today and another federal agency....but of course they didn't close ours yet!!!!! Wonder if I will be stuck at work for this blizzard!! I want to go skiing!!!!

Stace - yes, they still have Bear there.

I stayed at work for an hour and then they closed down the Fed Center!!! I am now back at home safe, hoping Chris gets home soon (probably in about 2 hours.) I hope my dad or Rich didn't have to go in either. The roads are icy and the wind is horrible. Chris is in a van with rear wheel drive so he is sliding everywhere, I can't stop worrying about him on those roads!!!!

I AM really bad since I have been off the board so long I had to put in my info again.

HEIDI: A blizzard in Colorado? (snow angel) I really do need to start watching the weather channel.

BARB: So sorry about all Missy is going through. Some men can be such jerks when they go through a divorce. He probably doesn't really want Ethan but just wants to upset Missy.

SANDY: Darren in January? Where is he going? DisneyWorld of course! :earsboy: :earsgirl: ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo pluto: :goofy: :donald: :mickeyjum

I only read the last page so I didn't really catch-up but I am going back to read right now. I hope you are all really for the holidays :santa:. I've been ready but now I feel like I am forgetting something really important. Do you ever feel that way? HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A MERRY CHRISTMAS :santa: :santa: and a HAPPY NEW YEAR :dance3: party: Miss you all. Toodles  :mickeyjum JEANNE

Jeanne: Merry Christmas if you don't get back on before!

Barb: Mike is an idiot! He will not even come close to getting Ethan. Has there ever been a child that DIDN'T have diaper rash? You should have seen Kaleigh's poor butt 2 years ago when she had rotavirus!!

Heidi: You are sweet, but creative and me don't belong in the same sentence.

Made the gingerbread house. THere was good and bad. The frosting came already made this year, but there wasn't as much as last year and I didn't get to cover everything with "snow" that I wanted to cover. It still came out cute though.

Had computer problems earlier, but I think they are fixed for now. Kaleigh messed something up.

After 3 weeks, I think I am finally getting over this bug and asthma flair-up. I took my last prednisone today and I have 2 days of antibiotics left. It is nice not coughing my head off all day long. I still cough, but not nearly as bad.

A snow storm in Denver? I didn't hear that either. Stay warm and safe.

Sandy: I am glad you heard from Darren. Jerry always has to write his own reviews for work. I have helped him talk himself up over the years.

Stacey: Kaleigh was so excited to finally be big enough to go on Splash Mountain. She still talks about that ride and others.

Well, I gotta go make dinner so we can get to making cookies.

DENINE: Merry Christmas :santa: :santa: :santa: to you and yours.

Just talked to my son and daughter in Las Vegas. My son flew to Los Angeles to visit his sister and then they drove to Las Vegas together. My daughter says I would hate Las Vegas this week because she actually saw snow on the strip and I like to walk around or sit by the pool. I could not stand to lose my money in the casinos.

Off to work Thursday and Friday and then I am off for a week. That is to make up for having to work all of Christmas last year.

Hope you all have a Terrific Thursday followed by a Fantastic Friday. Toodles  :mickeyjum JEANNE

Good Afternoon!

It is still snowing like crazy and very windy. Can you believe we are the same Colorado group that was whinning about no snow 2 years ago. We sure have our fill this year. I must admit I LOVE IT!!! Don't think it will melt as fast as our last blizzard though. I stayed home from work today. I had previously taken the day off to make cookies. sure was glad! The air force base shut down around noon so Bob has been home too. The girls are upstairs playing cards guess I will join them.

Ethan woke up this morning with a swollen eye lid. It looks like he must have been bitten by something. Missy has a bite on her too. I told her to keep him away from Mike no telling what he will do with that.

Hi guys.

Barb, great advice for Missy about Ethan's eye. Mike would love to turn that one around!!

Denine, you are soooo wrong. You said that you and creative don't belong in the same sentence. Look at what all you are doing with Kaleigh.

Jeanne, SNOW in Las Vegas. Oh my goodness. I didn't hear about that one.

The snow is really piling up. It is so windy. The snow is actually beginning to stick to my front windows making it very hard to see out. We got out in it a couple of times but we are definitely here to stay now. The roads are very treacherous and the visibility is next to none. Stacey hurt her back shoveling. With all that said, I still love watching it snow. I just hate having to shovel it. THIS TIME Ted is home. Usually it is Heidi and I shoveling through a blizzard. He is over at a neighbors house snowblowing their driveway. She got stuck just now coming home from work. Guess the bank didn't want to close to early like other businesses.

Good morning all. The snow is still coming. If you walk out our front door, you would wade in waist deep snow. I love it. I am sure we will get out in it later on today. All I need is the sled and my snowpants from my parents house. Maybe pick up my skiis too!!!! I love this stuff when it snows this much. Chris actually got up and dressed for work and tried to make it out. He didn't get too far and is back in his pj's!!!

WOW! You CO people sure have gotten a lot of snow. No thanks! I hope it doesn't head this way. It is raining today.

We made cut outs last night, but due to popular demand, we are making more tonight. I have a bar cookie in the oven. Kaleigh really did a nice job decorating the cookies this year.

Jerry said I should post this. Kaleigh comes into school yesterday and says "Teacher, do you know what my favorite line from the new Pirates of ther Caribbean movie is? It is when Captain Jack says 'Why is the rum always gone?' He is the funniest priate ever!" Leave it to my 4 year old child to go around asking why the rum is always gone!

Barb: Smart advice to keep Ethan away from Mike right now.

How's this for loving family? My sister in law has informed my dad through e-mail, twice now, that there will be no medical talk at our gathering on Saturday. Since when is she the conversation police? I guess this gives her more time to talk about the 450K house they want to buy that is below market price. It has to be killing them that my house is bigger than theirs. Jerry said all we should talk about is medical stuff. I told my dad we will talk about what we want to and if she doesn't like it she can leave.

I am enjoying "vacation" so far. I didn't get up until Kaleigh called and I stayed in my jammies and read the entire paper. I am ready for a nap!

Jerry is working from home tomorrow even though I am not going to work.

Jeanne: Enjoy your time off!

What can I say except there is a TON of snow here!!! I think we got a little over two feet at my house. Richard seems to think he is going to work tomorrow...I seriously doubt that unless they can start plowing the neigborhood.

So I have to admit, I am pretty disappointed in my truck. We tried getting out today and we got stuck in a bank. Richard said it was the tires...we still have the factory ones. Richard is now out with his F-350 and had no problems...doesn't surprise me though because the last blizzard we got out just fine with that. His Ranger did fine in it yesterday!!! It is newer than my truck!!! He still has factory tires on it too!! Oh well!!

Let Joey and Tyler play in the snow a little today. It is pretty cute. Joey keeps telling me "mommy mess" because of the snow on the driveway. She finally got into it and started singing/screaming "snow". Tyler was just having a good old time!!

Have a good rest of the day!!

I am sure Kaleigh would love the snow!

I keep thinking how would I get to work? Nurses and other service people don't get the option of staying home.

The cookies are made. I just have one more bar cookie to make tomorrow. The bar cookies are for taking places, the cut outs are for home.

Stacey: My Rendezvous was awful in the snow until Jerry got new tires for it. Now it does OK.

This is the honest truth. Ted started shoveling at 5 this morning and stopped for a couple of hours. Then we both started in around 8 and finished around here around noon I believe. We then picked up Heidi and Chris and headed to the other house to shovel it out. Got done shoveling around 3. No breakfast and just a quick grilled cheese for lunch. Our whole day was consumed with shoveling. We are so stiff and sore it is ridiculous. We found that our favorite restaurant was open so we took Heidi and Chris out for dinner as a thank you.

Stacey, sorry to hear about the truck. I really bet that Rich is right about the factory tires. Now that I think about it, the F350 has factory tires still on it too. Hmmmm. Did you video the kids playing in the snow????? I sure hope so. So happy we found the tights for Joey. We looked all over Kmart and finally stumbled upon them.

Denine, conversation police. WOW! That takes the cake for sure. Kaleigh is so cute about the rum in the movie. I WISH that Stacey could meet her. I know Heidi did in the parking lot at the DCL terminal. I love bar cookies. What kind did you make?

I need to call Bonnie now. She has called twice since noon.

Once again, a million thanks Heidi. I bet we would still be shoveling if it wasn't for you two. Hope Chris is feeling better.

They were asking for people with 4-wheel drive to take shuttle them. We also had the Colorado guard picking people up.

Mom - your welcome, I couldn't imagine you and dad doing 2 houses with over 2 feet of snow. It got us out of the house and it was fun!!!!

Stace - how cute, glad they had fun in the snow. Too bad about your truck, that means my truck probably would have gotten stuck as well!!!

Denine - Kaleigh's favorite saying from the movie is hilarious!!!! Why do kids pick up the worse sayings out of all of them. How funny.

Barb - how much snow did you get down there?

Hi guys! Sorry to be MIA for so long but our hard drive on our lap top went on us and we had to get a replacement shipped to us. Garry's dad seems to be getting weaker and having a lot of pain. The dr. said that one of the other spots in his back was close to turning into what they removed in the surgery and we are afraid that this "new" back pain is the beginning of it. He says he gets this pain in the upper back and he trys to move to get some relief from the pain and the spot where they went in for the surgery begins to hurt. SOOOOO, it's not looking real good right now. He begins raidiation and chemo the first week in Jan.

The dog seems better.

my dad has ANOTHER infection in his foot. He had to go for blood work yesterday. His foot dr. was NOT happy! So we are waiting to see what the blood work says. The dr. did take an x ray and said that the infection isn't in the bone, yet so that's a good thing I guess.

Well, it's 3 days before Christmas and I'm STILL not done with shopping. Today I got to spend it at home with the cable guy trying to fix our cable since it went out yesterday. He was here for over 3 hours! THEN I was on the phone with the girl from DELL trying to get the new hard drive to work. That phone call took almost 2 hours.

SO, that's what's going on around here. So when we are not out visiting Garry's dad we have sometime to do a few things. We had the Holiday shop for Garry and Makenzie's school last Wed thru Friday that I helped with and then I had a teachers luncheon that I had to set up, serve and clean up on Monday. Tuesday was Makenzie's school party and wednesday I got to drive around and deliver the school crossing guards their gifts from the PTA. Oh yeah, tomorrow night at 7pm Makenzie has a soccer game.

Denine, we would like to go to Disney on Ice if you are still interested in doing it. We have been to several "disney on Ice" shows and the best seats are at the end of the ice (the opposite side of where the skaters enter) about 3 or 4 rows up. I don't know if you bought your tickets yet or not, so let me know.

Barb, tell Missy not to worry about Mike. The courts will not give him full coustody. They MIGHT to the shared parenting, but I don't think so. Tell Missy to take everything he says with a grain of salt. You guys will be fine! You're a great loving family so forget about him!

Heidi, I would love some of that snow! I, unlike Denine, love the snow. I was hoping for a white Christmas, but it doesn't look like it.

Sandy and Stacey, becareful when shoveling that snow! I love the story about the twins and snow. Sandy we got your cards and thank you! It meant so much.

Jeanne, glad to se you post! I hope you have a very Merry Christmas.

NOW...... for the gift exchange...........

How's about we begin opening presents tonight/tomorrow and post what we got on the board here since I think it might be too hard to get everyone on to "chat" one evening? Is that ok? We post who had us and what we got. We could start it as one family opens and whoever had them, will be the next to open and then who bought for them would open next. SO, I would open and who sent me our gift would then open and so on? Just let me know which way you want to do it. If no one posts their "option" by let's say 11am tomorrow then we just start opening. Does any of this make sense?

Well, gonna go. I'll be back tomorrow.

TTFN

Julie, I am soooooo happy to hear from you. What an unfortunate time of year to have all that going on. We hurt for your family. And then on top of it, all the other things you have going. How is your sanity holding out? You are NEVER far from my mind. Trust me.

I agree with the gift opening idea. I don't think that we could get everyone for a chat either. As much as we all need one, it just isn't a reality. Maybe a good wine chat sometime early next year.

I think we go at it, open up our gifts and post what we got. (can you tell I don't like to wait to open up presents!!!)

Julie - so good to hear from you. Sorry about your mishap with the computer, but so glad that you got it fixed.

I just read a message from Webmaster Alex. It looks like the boards will be down from 5:00pm today for 24-48 hours for an upgrade.

So, if we don't talk before Christmas

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL OF YOU!!!!

Good Morning!

Looks like I am finally going to get out today after 2 days of being in all day. I didn't get anything done at home either....Now I have guilt!

We have to finish Christmas shopping today. So my day will be spent doing that.

Not sure how much snow we got down here since it was blowing so hard. I would guess about 10 inches.

Julie-Good to hear from you. I really like the gift opening idea. Wow to think we may actually get it done before Christmas!!!

Anyone open a gift yet????? I think we better get going if the boards are going to close down for that length of time. What is this "family" going to do without each other for that length of time? :grouphug:

My forearms are killing me! Way too much snow for shoveling. Whaa, whaa, I told Ted that I wouldn't do any whining. But.....I didn't tell you guys that. :rotfl2:

Barb, how much snow did you guys get?
