October 19th Cruisers again and again... Part 2

I just ordered everything I need to give a Tinkerbell birthday party for Kaleigh. Now I don't have to go in search of! I really hope it all comes in time. I am afraid I should have done Priority mail instead of standard ground. How about some pixie dust that it arrives on time?

Last one yesterday, first one today.

Supposed to be another beautiful day.

I think I have decided to "just" go to WDW in February or January instead of a cruise. I am terrified to step on the scale on Wednesday and can't manage another cruise with all that food so soon after, no matter how much I want to be sailing through those clear blue Caribbean waters.

I think I have convinced Kaleigh to be Ariel for Halloween. I already have a tiara and she has the red hair and Flounder bag. NOw to find a costume.

DOn't know what we are doing today. Probably nothing.

Wow Sandy -you are going to town.....I still have to find the tomatoes....may go out this morning and see what I can find.

Denine-your little girl is growing up....I remember when you got her. WE are suppose to go to DW in Dec......hope the plane tickets aren't out of this world with the gas prices.....hopefully they will come down....never thought we would see the day we hoped for $2 a gallon...lol

Football starts today for all you football fans....me among them...happy watching!

Bonnie and Jeanne, I sent you a pm from Pam with her email address. Everything sounds really good for them. I have never been to a Cracker Barrel. There is one close by the campground somewhat. Need to go. Is the rocker a wooden one? That is what I am picturing. I know what weirdo lady and I wasn't there. The one about the red hair.

Denine, I don't have the recipe on my computer. I just typed it into the post. We really like Goofys kitchen better than Chef Mickeys too.

Sally, got the salsa done and bought peaches for jelly today. Did you find tomatoes?

Tomorrow is my first day of weighing in. I didn't get it to where I wanted so I may have voided my guarantee and won't get half of my money back. DARN! Oh well, the cruise and my enjoyment was top priority.

Sandy-no I haven't found any roma tomatoes yet. The fruit stand we went to had a box of over ripe tomatoes so I bought it and made fresh salsa to eat.....I still have over half a box left...will have to use tomorrow or throw them out...think I will cook something with them.....the lady told me the tomatoes will be $20 a bushel...does that sound about right?

I did get l0 lbs of chicken and cook it today and frozen 3 pts of chicken pieces and 3 pts of stock....

It is midnight so guess I better go to bed.....good night

Sally - did you watch the Broncos yesterday? They were horrible, I hope that isn't a preview into what our season is going to look like. I can't believe the Dolphins beat us that badly!!!

Making salsa was a lot of fun, even the guys enjoyed it!!!!

Mom - we were supose to do the peach jelly TOGETHER!!! You brat, you better give me a jar of it!!!

Denine - Pixie dust that Kaleigh's birthday stuff makes it in time.

This week you won't hear much from me, Tuesday - thursday I have training and Friday is my day off!!!!!

Heidi-yes, I watched the Broncos.....they did so good in pre-season so I wasn't expecting them to be that bad....let's hope that is their only loss..at least for awhile or it is going to be hard to get interested in watching them.

Kaleigh's party stuff was shipped, so it should be here on time.

Sandy: They will penalize you because you gained weight on the cruise?

Grilling out grouper tonight.

Ordered some srping bulbs and organic fertilizers.

Continuing to go through stuff from pre-cruise like the newsletters and stuff. Someday the office will be tidy again.

The salsa sounds good and so does the peach jelly. I love homeade applesauce too. Maybe I will actually be able to do that this year.

I tried Kaleigh's Ariel costume on her from last year and it still fit! Now I don't have to buy her a new one. SHe looked so cute with the tiara and holding Flounder.

Happy Monday!

Had a busy weekend. Tiffany and I are teaching a class at church that started last night. We have 3rd and 4th grade girls. Tiffany is so good with these girls. I want to be her assistant.

Mom-Did I tell you that for Tiffany's senior pictures we went to Monument Park? It was sooooo pretty. Lots of ducks. Before it get cold and on a cloudy day I will call you we can stop and get bread then go feed the ducks. Ok!

I am reading some of the post I have missed. I thought I was keeping up with it better then that!

Kaleigh sure has grown up on this thread! How is Brooke doing? I bet she is really growing too!

Where is Monument Park at? Did she get her picture taken with ducks in the background? I loved doing my Senior pictures and they came out really good, but they were expensive....but my lovely mom didn't complain at all

Heidi-She did get a few shots with the duckies. I think they will turn out great, can't wait to see them. We also went to Senior night on thursday it is going to be about $300 for invites and cap and gown. Her pictures will be about that too. YIKES!!!!!

Heidi, I have't done the peaches yet. I bought them yesterday but it was too late by the time we got home. By the way, I bought you a little surprise today.

Denine, if I keep from going over 5 pounds over my goal weight I earn 1/2 of my money back. I have to refresh my memory but I think it is over a years time. I just assumed vacation or not. Anyway, I weighed in today and only gained 5 even so I am very happy. Of course, I gave myself last week to work on it. They don't know that. I thought it was just me. The office is a total wreck. All from the last cruise. Menus, navigators, Shutters pics, newsletters scattered everywhere. Will we find the time to clean? I must have been wrong about the weirdo lady.

Sally, I paid 20.00 for a half bushel so that does sound right.

The "boys" came to visit last night & they have been SOOOO good. I really missed my doggies.

SANDY: Got all the film developed including the water camera which had pictures from the cruise with Faith. Did that ever bring back memories! The picture turned out really great with all of us sitting on chairs in the water at Castaway Cay (of course you looked different!). There is a great picture of Heidi sitting in the chair on the beach.

DENINE: Kaleigh as Ariel. How perfect!

Cooked for "the ladies" today but my Aunt doesn't eat anything. It is so sad.

It is really HOT, HOT, HOT. I'm lovin' it since we are supposed to go down the shore on Wednesday. Hope you all are enjoying this great weather. Toodles, JEANNE

Now I remember the story!

I got on the van in LA to go to the hotel...they also picked up a very strange family...an older woman with her daughter who smelled and behaved like a drug/alcohol addict. Anyway, she was non stop talking and told me about a little red headed girl with the most beautiful red hair. When she said something to the little girl she told her "No, my hair isn't red!". Well, for miles all I heard about was this little girl denying her red hair. I just couldn't wait to get these smelly people out of the van! I ran into Denine, Jerry and Kaleigh later that evening at the hotel. We went to Mc Donalds for coffee. While sitting there the conversation turned to how Kaleigh denies having red hair. Lo and behold...it was Kaleigh that this druggie was talking about!!

That's the story!

Had a great reunion with the old cast from TDS. About 20 of us showed up. We also talked to one on the phone who has relocated to Charlotte NC.

Work is back to normal with psycho nurse carying on again and giving me a hard time. She thought she would get away with doing less work as a Case Manager...NOT! I wish they would give me just the UM nurses!!!! I can't stand CM's!!!

Jeanne, how exciting that you already have pictures. I haven't had time to even look at ours/ We have spent time with our friend in the nursing home. She is improving. Sorry about your Aunt. It is so hard to watch.

Bonnie, your reunion sounded like fun. My TDS was wonderful, the new people are well, not Disney like. Couple are still leftover though.

I don't know my geography. Is Susan alright with the new hurricane?

Hi everyone! Glad to see everyone posting!! Well, this weekend was the first Browns game.... which they lost! Came home yesterday from the game to Makenzie in tears saying her throat hurt. I told her it was probably due to her sleeping with her mouth open that night because she had a stuffy nose. This morning (mon.) when I went to get her up from school, she was already up and said her throat still hurt and she was talking with a "thick" throat. So I got took her temp. and she had a fever of 101. I told her to go back to sleep because she wouldn't be going to school today. I got the Big Guy up for school and took him with Brooke. I then came home and called the dr.'s to get a culture done for Makenzie because I just KNEW she had strep! So they tell me to bring her in at 12pm. Garry's school doesn't get out until then so I had to go get him early. He just THREW a fit that he had to leave early. I felt so bad for him because he really loves school, but what are you going to do. LONG STORY short, Makenzie has strep!!! NICE!!! She can't go back to school until Wed. (has to be on the meds for 24hrs or something like that).

The nice thing was, I called the school to let them know she will not be there tomorrow after I left the dr.'s. Around 4pm, her teacher called to see how she was doing and to let me know that they were thinking of her! I guess someone else in the class came down with strep last week so now we know where she got it from. Until the call, we were trying to figure out where on earth she had gotten it from this early in the year! Her teacher told me that she will send any school work she missed today and tomorrow home with one of her friends so she won't have to play "catch up" when she returns.

It's late now, but I will post about the Big Guy's "procedure" to remove the quarter later. I was so proud of him! He gained much respect from Garry and me as well as the nurses that day!!

ANYONE WHO WANTS GIRLSCOUT COOKIES......... WE WILL BE SELLING THEM IN NOVEMBER!!!!!! SAME COOKIES... THIN MINTS, SAMOAS, TREFOILS, TANGALONGS, DO SI DOES, (the cookies that are shortbread cookies with chocolate on the backs, like elfwich cookies), something called (I think) the OLD FASHION cookie (not sure what these are, I will find out what they are when we get our info on them.....OH did I tell you ... I'm cookie mom for the troop??? WHAT AM I NUTS????? don't answer that please! LOL!!!), and I think there is one or two more kinds but they escape me. I will ship to where ever.... ask Sandy and Susan!!!!!!

Julie - You are CRAZY!!!!!! That will definitely keep you busy. Poor Makenzie, (knocking on wood) I have never had strep throat. I have had tons of sore throats and throat cultures and white bumps but never strep throat. I must be only a carrier. I am so eager to hear about the Big Guy's procedure. I will order some cookies, just have to figure out which ones I want!!! How much do you charge?

Jeanne - talk about a blast from the past, what a nice suprise to see those pictures!!! I wish we could all get together and see everyones pictures!!!!!!

Mom - what's my suprise???!!!??? Oh ya I have training until 4:30 today so can Chris and I come over tonight and then I can get my treat? He needs the computer and I can watch BB with you!!!!! and Summerset was not this past weekend but it is this weekend coming up.
