October 19th Cruisers again and again... Part 2

We were on the filght from Cincinnati with the weirdo lady and she struck up a conversation with us when we were trying to get everything situated after we got off the flight. Too funny that Bonnie ended up being on the same van with her. At least we didn't have to smell her, but she did get up to the BR a couple of times, so Inoticed her on the flight.

Julie: Too bad about Makenzie. Hope she feels better soon. At this point I am assuming you are coming to Kaleigh's party since I haven't heard otherwise. How many of you will be coming?

Sandy: And you thought you gained 10 pounds! I find out tomorrow.

Jerry's dad is bing a PIA! All he is doing is yeeling at Jerry's mom and making her cry and being demanding. He only gets out of his chair when absolutely necessary. His mom made an appointment at the Clinic with a vascular guy, she doesn't know who, she go the earlies appointment. The problem is, he won't leave the house. He has an appointment on Friday he nneds to go to and we don't know how we are getting him there. If Jerry is available, he can go help, but it is probably in the morning. Jerry's dad has even been calling his mom an mean SOB for making him get out of the chair and move. We all feel helpless, but Jerry's mom is really taking the brunt and she isn't healthy enough to handle all the stress.

We get our 1st batch of pictures back tomorrow. I can't wait!

Gee Denine, brag, brag, brag...you get your pictures back. Not fair that I haven't seen mine and they have been here on the disk all along. How horrible about Jerry's mom AND dad. Wish there was something ANYONE could do for the two of them. It was sad to read about it. Pixie dust!

Hi all!

Denine, my dad has been doing the same thing to my mom too. I don't know why they act that way, but they do. My dad only gets up when he absolutely has too! He doesn't answer the phone during the day because he would had to get up from the couch. When my mom comes home from work, all he does is demand things and has a list of things he wants her to do. I really do understand where you are coming from about feeling helpless and your poor mother in law too.

Kaleigh's party is on Sat. 24th? Right? I know we have my cousin's clam bake that sat. I have decided to go to Kaleigh's party instead of the family clam bake. So I will be there with the 3 kids. Garry might be able to go but we have to wait until his schedule comes out. SO, it will be 4 for sure and possiblely 5. We will not have Anna Marie that weekend. (unless things change, I will let you know as soon as I do, but for right now she will not be with us).

Hey Heidi, I really don't care who wins Big Brother since I really don't care for any of them that are left. I really don't like Janelle. She seems so fake and I really didn't like they way she calls them the "nerd herd" and her name calling. I think April likes to starts "things" between the two groups, Ivette is a big "cry baby" and she whines sooooo much. Maggie is the only one I think is the only one who I think is playing the game "neutral". She is sooooooooo "blah" but she really doesn't "BASH" much of anyone or really name calls that I've seen. Maybe she has me fooled, but out of the 4 remaining, I GUESS she would be the one that I wouldn't be too upset at winning the game.

Oh yeah, I was also asked to me Makenzie's room parent this year! SO, besides being cookie mom, I am recording sec. for the school's PTA and now her room parent!!! Not to mention baking for all of Garry's preschool functions!!! No, I'm not busy!!! LOL!! You would think with all this on my plate I would be a size "0" , but that isn't EVER gonna happen!!

Sandy, don't worry, I had you down for your samoas!! There are $3 a box again this year. I've very proud of you with your great job of going back to weight loss center and getting 1/2 your money back! You go girl!!

Hi all...
Sorry to hear that M is sick...pixie dust to her. I expect it will make it through all the kids. Wish I could go to Kaleighs party. I would imagine she would like to have the autie dudettes there! LOL!

Not much new hear. One of my groups came today so I had to do a little dog & pony show...I think it went well. They are a very large national group. Do you all get QVC on your cable TV?

I think Pam is becoming her mother...fixated on her bowels! All I had to hear was how bloated she felt, and her "movements" or lack there of. She thinks the stomach bloating is all related to the endometriosis and possible bowel obstruction. Of course I asked her if she has gained weight...she has but doesn't think that is the reason for her belly! DUH! I tried to explain that after a certain age that is where it settles...she doesn't want to hear that! DUH! If I ever get that way please put me out of misery!

I am already picking out my Pirates outfit for next year's cruise. Bought a hat yesterday, have a pirate shirt, now I need earings and a skirt and a sash!!!!! I can't wait and Chris is actually getting into it too!!!!!

Bonnie: Now you know what it is like talking to my dad. I get to KNOW everything that is going on. TMI!

Julie: The right word next time is NO. Man, you have a lot on your plate. I am so glad you guys are coming to the party! Jerry's brother can't make it.

Up until yesterday, we were under the assumption that Jerry's dad walked around the house. We were wrong. When he has to go somewhere, he gets in the wheelchair and Jerry's mom pushes him. I think he is a candidate for hospice, but Jerry's brother (Scott) is talking about putting in a ramp and getting Jerry's mom a different car so she can get the wheelchair in easier. He is in denial! He will take Jerry's dad to the Clinic for his appointment on the 3rd. Jerry's dad says he will let them do any tests as long as he doesn't have to be in the hospital. This is all one huge mess. What is the point in going, if he has no plans on doing anything? No surgeon is going to touch him with a 20 foot pole. He had a heart attack from his last procedure. He has CHF, Arteriosclerosis in his heart and legs, renal insufficiency and poor liver function and a bleeding anal fistula. Jerry's brother thinks if they fix the circulation in his legs then they can fix the other stuff. Everything impacts on everything else. I am still trying to get Jerry to understand this and he is. He was trying to get his brother to understand yesterday. I have seen many poeple die over the years and can tell when they don't have a lot of time left. Jerry's dad will be very lucky to make it to the first of the year, which I really hope he does, because his mom will probably end up in the hosptial if he doesn't.

Julie: Is there anyway we can get your mom and Jerry's mom together? They would so understand each other's problems, much more than we can, s ince she would be a peer.

Sorry to vent so much, but this is all very frustrating.

On a good note, I only gained 2 pounds from vacation. I can get those off and the rest. I was so afraid that I blew all my hard work. I went down to 20 points instead of 21 to get back to where I was. I started that last week.

We took a walk in the park yesterday and then let Kaleigh play on the the playground and I was paying for it in the form of allergies during the night and this morning.

I am making lasagna for Kaleigh's party, we may have some pizza too. I am also going to put together a salad. I am going to try to make this as simple on me a possible.

Denine - Feel free to vent, thats why we are here....we will listen to you!!!! Good idea on Your MIL and Julie's mom getting together, I hope that could work out.

Denine, Ted and his siblings were in denial also. I think it is very hard to accept. Do have some patience with them. I know it is hard but no one wants to hear about the death of a parent. Slowly they will come around. Everyone thought Ted and his father were crazy about the hospice but it was the right thing. Maybe a doctor needs to talk to your BIL and explain EVERYTHING. That way you won't sound like a bad person. The doctor can confirm what you have said. Somebody needs to take Jerry's mother out for a day or evening and have someone else watch dad. She needs to get away. It would be hard on her but she needs it. They really stress that for caregivers. Don't feel bad about venting. We are here for you!!!! I did the same thing about my FIL. Hugs to you. Congrats on the weight gain. You did awesome.

Bonnie, Pam sure is a kick! Man, TMI!!!! QVC? Yep, we get it. I had a friend that would watch it day or night.

I am worried about Susan. No word and then the Hurricane. Hope she is ok!!!!

Denine-from what you say about your FIL hospice may not be such a bad idea. THe doctors usually wait until hospice doesn't do what it is supposed to do until it is too late and then they bring it up. At the point they may be able to help with the psychological part of failing health.

Very tired here...I was about to go to bed last night when the phone rang. It was a good friend of mine to tell me that one of the old band parents was murdered...road rage (his part) but it back fired and he was beaten about the head. He always was a "loose cannon" . Then ended up listening to the problems with her mom (living with her temp) and step-father and sister. What a nightmare!I thank heaven every day that my 80 yr old mom is in good health, mentally and physically. Didn't get to bed until after 11. No phone calls please! Yesterday was vent to Bonnie day I guess.

Susan-hope all is ok in NC.

Last day of training, Finally!!!!! What makes it better is that today is my Friday and I get to sleep in tomorrow!!!!

Bonnie, that's awful about the road rage. I know all too well about loose cannons as my dad was one. We have a lot of that around here too. I tell myself not to even use my horn in case it sets someone off. Yesterday was vent to Bonnie, now maybe today Bonnie's venting day. Ted finally downloaded our pics yesterday. We have several dark pics cuz Shutters told us at the digital photography class to leave our fill flash on at all times. That's the only reason I can think of that they didn't turn out because any other time our pics are perfect. Oh well, still got a lot. Most of them were the characters in the dining rooms.

Denine, how are things today? I have a beautiful pic of you. Susan, worried about you. Sally, Barb, Patty too busy to stop in and say hi? Jeanne, working?

Hi Heidi, it was fun last night. Glad you had to come over.

We are camping over the weekend. Ted's idea. It will be a work weekend to close up the trailer.

Good morning.....yes, I have been busy shampooing carpets, etc. I finally got all my fall decorations out and it sure makes the house feel cozy....the weather has been real fallish feeling....

Bonnie-can't find any roma tomatoes so guess we will have to go with the other kind. I did make a pint of salsa with the over ripe ones I bought and Dick really liked it so now I do have to can some or else make fresh all winter.

Haven't had time to scrapbook this week....glad the fall shows are starting since what I watch is coming to an end.

Julie- you do need to start saying no.....I understand how you feel, I use to be like that until I ended up head of the Girl Scout Cookies for 7 counties....after that year I started to say no and it was hard the first few times and then it got easier.

Susan-we all are worried about you....if you can let us know what is going on

Good Morning!

Sorry I have been MIA this week. I have been really busy. Projects, meetings, training.... And now my team has been taking calls from Hurricane Katrina victims. A lot harder then I thought it was going to be. I have had to listen while they cry on the phone and tell me about losing everything they own. I feel bad. One lady kept telling me that I had no idea how it felt. I had to agree with her. I really don't know what it would be like to lose everything you own.

Bob and I have been "Lost" junkies this this. We watch 2 to 3 episodes every night. I don't know what we will do when season 2 starts and we have to wait a whole week in between shows.

Julie- I did not read back all the way but from one of your posts it sounds like you are selling Girl Scout cookies. Did they change it from Feb to Sept? Sorry Mackenzie is not feeling well. Pixie Dust to her.

This weekend we are going to Happy Apple Farm. Can't wait to get pictures of Ethan in his first ever pumpkin patch!

I love the Fall. Guess I come by it honestly. My Mom has "Fall Fever" so bad this year. Went to her house the other night for dinner. Very cozy. Hey Mom what do you think of doing a Mexican pot luck dinner? With us, Missy and Criss. We could all bring stuff so no one person is having to do all the work.
