Stopping by with a quick hello. Having to do all the running around like bank, shopping etc. Plus I have Graci today.

I stopped by Kohls and got my next years Pirate outfit. Heidi, you will have to go pirate shopping, too.

Barb, hope you are feeling better.

Denine, isn't hard being home with all that needs to be done after a vacation? How is Kaleigh adjusting?

Yep, Heidi was glued to me and I loved every minute of it. Actually, it was double sided as I was sticking to her as well.

WHAT, you didn't go for me?? What if they sell out?

Just a quick hi so I can stay on Sandy's good list :teeth:

Welcome back cruisers! Sounds like you all had a fantastic time in spite of the hurricane.

Today was our first day back at work. Joyce & I worked together & had a really nice day but all everyone said was HOW BUSY the unit was while we were on our cruise :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Just wanted to add a few things about the cruise :boat:
FIRST: I did drink mimosas while we went through the locks & I got the free Mickey raincoats! It was pretty unbelieveable watching the cargo ship rise in the water before The Magic.
SECOND: The people (especially the children) in Mexico & Panama were so excited to see Mickey's ::MickeyMo boat. The people just clapped & cheered. In Mexico some of the characters went & visited with the crowd. It made us feel like celebrities.
THIRD: I loved "Ducky" Williams. What a great guy & true Disney fanatic.
FOURTH: Nothing could match the great company! :grouphug: Sandy surprised us with a package of gifts in our room. We loved everything.

It would be great if everyone could join us on the 10 day September cruise. It could be a "Reunion" Cruise :boat: :grouphug: Toodles  :genie: JEANNE

Good morning everyone. Not much going on here. Gas is still high and many stations are out. Supposedly the shortage will end soon.

My mom and step-father came in Monday from Germany. They are staying a month and then going back to Germany. Then in late November they are going to Italy and they are booked on an 18 day trans-atlantic cruise that ends in Ft. Lauderdale in December. They plan to fly back her from Florida and spend several months. I wish I could have their life!

Have a great day everyone!
Later!

Susan - WOW I wish I could live their lives also!!! Sounds like a great vacation to me!!!!

I agree, we need a reunion cruise (even though I wasn't on the first original cruise where our family was brought together for the first time!!!)

Good Morning everyone!

Reading the reports of the cruise. Sounds like tons of fun!! Can't wait until the next cruise!

Sandy-What did you buy at Kohls? They have Pirate outfits?? I was looking in a costume magazine at costumes for the next cruise. Was it hard to maintain your weight loss on the cruise?

Heidi- Do you still want to go shopping in Castle Rock? I LOVE this time of year and would like to go this month. I can probaby talk my Mom into going too. What about the last weekend in September? How about it Mom and Sandy do you want to go??

Barb

Of course I will go shopping with you. This is the best time because you can find great deals on summer clearance!!! The last weekend in September would be bad though because that is my mom and dad's birthday weekend. I can go the weekend before that or the weekend before that or this weekend though!!!!

Kaleigh is driving us both nuts. She has to relearn how to play by herself instead of constnatly being entertained! At least she is catching up on her sleep.

I never made it shopping yesterday. I will scrounge for dinner again today. Have to go tonight.

Jerry's dad is not good. He has not shaved in 2 weeks, he says he is too weak. He can't get out of the chair because he is too weak. He just doesn't care anymore. The really bad part is the toll this is taking on Jerry's mom. She is eating nothing but junk and crying all the time, because Jerry's dad is always yelling at her. She has no one to talk to. She has a doctor appointment today. I am trying to decide on some food to make to take over there so she eats something decent. Jerry's dad is beyond stubborn, so he won't listen to anyone.

I don't know what we are doing with Kaleigh's birthday. I would like to have a small party, but who is going to come? Her birthday is on the 25th and I would most likely do something that day.

Julie: You small pile of stuff is ready to go. When do you want to get together? Just pick a day and we will figure something out.

I went through all the souveniers yesterday. Now I just need to start developing 25 rolls of film so I can put my albums together.

We are looking into a Princess cruise for February. It is a lot cheaper than Disney. We may not go. We may just go to WDW. We will see.

Kaleigh still has this cold and we are still constantly wiping her nose. It will be a miracle if neither of us gets sick. We keep taking our Airborne.

Denine, we lived on airbourne over the trip. I never got Ted's cold. Knock on wood. I was just thinking about Jerry's dad yesterday. Sorry to hear he is giving up. That is so hard to watch. I love the idea that you will send something over for his mom because SHE needs to keep up her strength. She is going through so much.

Patty, glad you found the time to post.....a sentence.

Jeanne, I am glad you added to the report as all that was important too other than you got the free stuff! A reunion cruise would be nice. I loved bumping into Jerry and Denine all over the ship! And even in Curacao.

Susan, I wish Ted and I could live the live of your parents. Never in a million years.

Barb, no I didn't buy a PIRATE costume. I bought a black skirt and a white blouse and will add a red sash. Pretty much anyone that dressed was in black and white. Ted had 4 wenches and all of them were in black and white like him EXCEPT me. Boy did I ever look out of place UNTIL I saw Mickey and Minnie and I fit right in with them. We were in brown.

Heidi and Barb, I think Sept 24th is fine. Dad won't want to go and I bet neither will Chris. Dad will probably work on the trailer then. Heidi, you need to reserve this weekend in case I can get tomatoes!!!!!!! Lots and lots of fun ahead. Yea, right. I will try and get them on Friday so we will need to start them Friday.

Gotta run, taking the babies to see my mom today. Can't wait.

I am so glad grandma is finally going to get to see the babies, I wish I could see her face when she see's them for the first time. Call me as soon as you get home and tell me about grandma's reaction to them.

This weekend, SALSA...woohooo count us in for sure!!!!!!! I sure hope you find tomatoes and of you do let me know how much $$$$ I owe!!!!!

Ya Chris won't go shopping, but I will!!!!!!

Denine - I am sorry about Jerry's dad, hang in there.

Hey that sounds like fun...Making the Salsa!! I would love to do that.

Denine-If you go on a Princess Cruise who will entertain Kaleigh??
Sorry about Jerry's Dad. you are really sweet to watch over his Mom.

Hi guys! Glad to hear about the cruise we are looking into changing from Oct, just waiting on the price difference to see if we can swing it.

Sandy, did you love the "If I were not upon the Sea....." skit? We still laugh and resite the lines to this day! I want to go on another cruise just to see the skit again!!!

Denine, Hang in there with Jerry's parents. I know how you feel about Jerry's dad and how he has given up. My dad is the same way. He applied (FINALLY) for retirement and s.s. and all he did was cry my mom said. He acts as though he has nothing to live for. SO, I take the kids over at least twice a week and through "so you want they to be without their grandpa?" line at him when he gets really bad and that usually snaps him out of it for alittle while at least. My poor mother teaches 6th grade and then comes home to him yelling at her and running to the store for him, etc and she is just exhausted! He won't let anyone do anything for him BUT my mother. I still keep working on him and telling him that I can help and then I just do it. He complains, but at least I can help my mom out.

Bonnie, I am still keeping your friends from New Orleans in my thoughts and prayers. I can't imagine what they must be going home to. My heart really goes out to all of them!!!

Jeanne, sounds like you had a super cruise! If we can swing the 10 day cruise, don't worry you will still have plenty of your adult time. We would only, maybe ask the aunties to watch Brooke once. Hey, if I could really get her going on the potty training, she could go with the Big Guy and Makenzie!! She has to go to the potty with me (or anyone else who goes into the bathroom) and sits on HER potty! We don't sit on it yet bare bottom yet, but she definitely has an interest in it. She does tell us when she needs her diaper changed, so who knows.......

Susan, how's Turner and school? Does he still love it? I know Makenzie LOVES first grade! SHe is having a blast!

Barb and Sally, can I go shopping too!!!! I need expert shoppers to show me the ropes!! I don't like to shop. I know I'm weird!

Heidi, you don't have to worry about a pirates outfit, you can wear what Garry wants to wear. He want to dress head to toe in Pittsburgh attire. (get it Pittsburgh Pirates, ha ha) HE said it IS pirate night!!! I told him that I didn't think may people would get it.

Well, gotta fly! Have to get the kids lunch ready!!

TTFN

Julie - If you dressed up in Pittsburgh attire that night, I think it would be great!!!! I am sure not many people would get it though!!! Or else you can always get the nice trashy pirate outfit on clearance after Halloween!!!! At the party store they use to have the worst pirate costume I have ever seen!!!! I hope you can swing the 10 day cruise!!!!

Ever since this hiring freeze I have been SOOOOOO bored!! Can you tell, I have only posted about every 30 minutes!!!

Well, I got the quote back from my TA. $5538 for the 3 of us. I sent Jerry an e-mail.

Princess does have a childrens program from 3 years old. They have to be potty trained though. Their program used to be from 4 years old. They have a group babysitting in the evening. I don't know what to do. Kaleigh wants to go back to WDW, so we may just do that instead.

Just got an email back from Jerry stating at least it is better than Disney, but still hard to justify the price difference.

Julie: I don't know if anyone has tried the grandkids having no grandpa line.

I told Jerry about my idea of making some food for his parents, but the thing is, they don't like what I cook, or at least his dad doesn't. There are too many herbs in it, too sweet, too salty, not like mine etc... We will see.

I did take Kaleigh out for a walk. I walked, she rode. I need to start working off more weight. I won't weigh myself until next week. I did better on the cruise than I have in the past, but I know I gained something. I didn't get to walk on the ship like I wanted to because of the food poisoning. My tummy just wasn't right for days.

I am feeling post cruise let down today. I am going to go take a nap.

Post cruise let down. Oh can I relate to that! But....it has helped the last couple of times knowing that there is another cruise booked.

Barb, I forgot to address your question about weight. I think I gained about 10 pounds. I told myself to eat whatever I wanted. It was a cruise of a lifetime and food wasn't going to get me down!! But for like lunches, I would eat the hamb patty and not the bun kind of thing. Plus I wouldn't finish what was on my plate at dinner. Somewhat control but not really.

Julie, Pittsburgh attire. How funny. Garry is always thinking isn't he? I did love the skit! I still laugh thinking about it. I have a question on it. On pub night who actually does the skit? The one we saw was the cast member talent show so even Rachael the cruise director did it. Can't remember her lines at the moment. I love Snip it here, snip it there and cut it by the inch.

Well...back to work yesterday...nothing changed. I need a Silvio fix!! LOL! Gee...that server definitly got under my skin!!! Must have been those latin eyes! LOL!

Diet definitely starts ...will do anything to lose 50# by the next cruise. I know I can do it...I just need to be in the right psyche!

Pam had day surgery today...Doing fine. I was supposed to stay over but she sounds fine so will just call prior to going to bed to check if everything ok.

Still sick...may go to doctors tomorrow it the tightness doesn't clear.

Best part about the cruise? Being there with my adopted family (and teasing Ted with the leg squeezes/knee rubs! LOL!) So bad Bonnie!

I need anouther cruise before next Sept. Gotta start playing the lottery!!
