Just a quick note to say we are home. We got home around 7 PM yesterday. Luckily, our basement is not flooded and the kitties are fine.

We have plenty to do before Jerry goes back to work.

As tempting as the 10 day next September looked, we did not book. We are still going in October.

I haven't read any of the other posts yet.

Wash, wash & more wash...

Cooked for "the ladies" today but my mother didn't even bother coming downstairs to eat. Derek & Diana called & came over for dinner which was nice & my aunt managed to get a few bites down.

The weather is really beautiful :sunny:. The air conditioning is off & the windows are open. The weather is the only thing keeping me in a good mood.

Went to Shoprite yesterday & spent $100.00 & went to Sam's & spent another $200.00. The cupboards were bare! :scared1:

Thinking of Pam & Buster. If any one hears :listen: from them let us know.

SANDY & TED: I miss you two! I thought I would see you last night at 6:00 PM for dinner!

DENINE & JERRY: Remember you won't have Kaleigh's aunties if you get stuck for a babysitter in October.

Tomorrow is an important day. BONNIE TURNS 50!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :bday: Welcome to the 50's Club.

Hope you all have a blessed Sunday & a great Labor Day. Toodles  :genie: JEANNE

:cheer2: :bday: :cake:  HAPPY BIRTHDAY BONNIE!!!!!!!! :cake: :bday: :cheer2:

I hope you have a great day!!! I will be thinking of you often!!!

Glad to see everyone made it back safe and sound! Everyone was missed!!! I want to hear all about your trip!!!!! DID YOU GUYS SEE PUB NIGHT???? BALLS TO YOU SIR BALLS TO YOU SIR... UP AND DOWN THE COURT!!! I sure hope so!!!!!

Hey Jeanne, does the three aunties "babysitting" thing go for all of us? :rolleyes1 Cause we might be willing to change cruises. Actually it would only be for Brooke cause I'm sure the other 2 will be at the club. I'll have to see about the cost difference. Possibilities........... That is unless the Sept. cruise was just a Dudettes and Dude (Ted) trip.

Well gonna go. I had to wish my Sis a very happy birthday!!!

Take Care!! I'll be back!

Good Morning

Happy Labor Day. I am working today until 10:30. Bob got activated yesterday for a firefighting mission. Looks like he will be gone about a week then they may send him to LA for a relief mission.

Welcome back everyone. Glad you all had a wonderful time.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BONNIE!!

Barb

Today is a special day because it is BONNIE'S 50th BIRTHDAY! Happy Birthday to you. Happy Birthday to you. Happy Birthday dear Bonnie. Happy Birthday to you! :cake: :bday:

JULIE: The Aunties would be willing to babysit Brooke but we do love our "adults only" dinners. There probably will come a time when the grandkids will be tagging along with us.

Happy Labor Day everyone. I am glad I am not laboring today but I am going over to make dinner for "the ladies". CSI marathon on Spike TV today. It's ashame because I think I have seen them all. Hope no one has to "labor" today. Toodles  :boat: JEANNE

Happy Birthday Bonnie.....it only gets better from here on..... :cheer2: :cool1: :cheer2:

I am making new curtains for the scrapbook room....I haven't sewn in so long it is like starting over with my machine. I had gotten a new one about 3 years ago and didn't use it much...got involved with scrapbooking and that took my time.

Hope everyone is enjoying the day......

Thank you for all the Birthday wishes. I went out to breakfast with my mother then to wal-mart. Pam stopped by with some flowers and cards from her and her cat (Pam thinks her cat is human). Now I am continuing to do laundry.

I will babysit at any time-as long as it doesn't interfere with Palo's, massage, deck party at night, Ducky talks etc. I know...selfish in my old age. I just think we are lucky that we all hit it off so well on that cruise in 2002. I looked at all the drama that went on behind the scenes with this years group and thanked God for our little family.

Don't forget prayers for Pam and Buster...they are wonderful people...I wonder if they were even able to get near their home to assess the damage. I wish there was a way to contact them.

Everything is unpacked, I just have to go through the souveniers and the boxes we sent from California. The grass is cut, the weeds are pulled. SOme of the laundry is done.

Happy Birthday Bonnie!!!!!!!!!!!

Pam and BUster were allowed to go to their home today, but for only 12 hours to asess the damage.

Julie: I am so glad everything worked out with the Big GUy! If you guys want to switch to Sept, then let me know.

The other cruisers did not go to pub night, but we did video tape it. The place was packed! They did their skit for the crew talent show and it brought more to pub night.

Manzanillo Mexico was awful unless you got a shore excursion and they were in very limited supply since it was a make-up port. Acapulco is not a place I care to visit again, especially eating! Curacao is gorgeous! We had our beach day and thought this was a place we could come back to. DVC has a place there. The canal was awesome. We had the others to our cabin for a party, We drank some of the wine that was left from the wine tasting party and ordered up cheese and crackers from room service.

Julie: I got you plenty of stuff, I just have to sort through it all. Your golden ears are in one of the boxes sent from DL.

I just checked the prices for the 10 night cruise. We will not be switching!

Cat 6 $6407 for the 3 of us.
Cat 11 $3887

Sorry guys!

So much to do but wanted to drop by and say hello. We loved every minute of it. It was hard saying goodbye. Will try and read everything I missed but at this point it won't be for a while.

Love to all,

Boy am I glad we booked on the ship! It appears as though the prices are a little higher off the ship...Our cat. 9 is less than what you got for the 11!

Once again, Welcome back everyone!! Glad you all had a great time.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BONNIE!! LOVE YA!!

Just went back and read everything. A bunch of chatty cathies! And wow, Patty posted more than once. What a surprise! :teeth:

Julie, sorry about the big guy! Glad he is ok. What kind of surgery was it? How did they get it.

Barb, the accident sounded horrible. How is everyone?

Sally, I have to go back and watch BB. Lots and lots of episodes! Can you believe that so many reality shows will be back SOON? Can't wait.

Bonnie, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, AGAIN! Glad I got you on the phone.

Susan, thanks for coming through and posting. Heidi sure needed all the support from all of you!

Jeanne, it is hard being away from all of you.

Denine, I am glad I got hugs from you guys before we disembarked. Didn't get to say good bye to the dudettes.

The cruise was stupendous. We all loved the hurricane day except Joyce. She took a look at breakfast and had to run out of Topsiders. She stayed put in a chair for most of that day, bless her heart. Even our server was out for the day. It didn't bother us at all. In fact, wish we could have had more days like it, sorry Joyce! Manzanillo was awful. Glad that we survived. Acapulco wasn't anything to brag about but Jeanne, Ted and I really, really enjoyed the 10:30pm cliff diver show. We had first row seats. Couldn't get a more perfect spot. We chose the 10:30 show because they dive with torches. Curacao was so quaint. Just loved it and would love to go back. It is dutch and of course that would interest the VAN HORN's! People were so friendly and it was so clean. We snorkeled and canoed there. Both were fun. While snorkeling we saw an octopus. Jeanne and Joyce didn't snorkel though. Bonnie did it for the first time. Days at sea were plentiful and were by no means boring. Plenty to do. Ted's and my favorite thing was to hang out by the pool. Joyce liked it just as much. Bonnie and Jeanne are always wanting to go, do etc so they couldn't sit still as much as us 3. Riding the elevator with Roy and wife was exciting. They are a cute couple. Saw Mark Curry around the ship a lot and Joey Fatone quite a few times as well. They walked around the ship just like any other passenger. Most people left them alone. Some took pics of Joey at the bar threatening to sell the pics of him to the enquirer because if you remember right he went into rehab for drugs and alcohol. Those people were DISers.

We met lots of DISers. Some nice, some strange and some, well you know. NONE OF THEM COMPARED TO ALL OF YOU and I mean that from the bottom of my heart. I don't think that we can ever bond with anyone from the boards as much as we have here!!

This is a long post because Jeanne said I had to make the report. Thanks Jeanne,

I still have 3 more threads to go. Guess they will have to wait until tomorrow. I am tired.

Love to all.

Thanks so much for being there for Heidi. I know that Heidi now understands the love I have for all of you. :grouphug:

Hi Sally, Ted and I kind of felt that once you went through a set of locks that you saw them all. It was very interesting for the first set and the scenery was beautiful. It was a little stormy when we first started through but it cleared up just fine. Just a few sprinkles. Disney handed out free rain ponchos but we didn't get one because we had such a perfect spot that they couldn't even get to us. We missed out on the free champagne and mimosas too.

Denine, Bonnie, and Jeanne, Pam posted on the Bringing the Magic home thread. You might want to go over there periodically in case she posts again. Sounds like they will be able to go to the house again tomorrow for another 12 hours. So glad that they are posting! For all of you who don't know, Pamkass, is a DISer who lives near New Orleans. Her cruise was sure spoiled by Hurricane Katrina!

I am sooooo tired. I just read several other threads. I have to get off NOW!

Good Morning!

Thats it, I am totally hooked! I have been watching reruns of The Amazing Race season one on the games channel. They had a marathone over the weekend and played one after the other. They are starting season 2 tonight. Wonder when the new season starts?

I woke up yesterday with a cold, my throat hurts and I feel like crap.
Bob is still gone and probably will be until sometime next week. I keep forgetting all the things I have to do in the morning. He usually feeds the animals and cleans the litter box. I do laundry, make breakfast for Tiffany and I and pick up the house. Now I have to squeeze it all in.

Glad everyone is back and had a great time!!!

Barb

Glad to see so many posts this morning!!

Julie - I was thinking about you all weekend long, worrying about Gary. I am so relieved to find out that the surgery went good!!! YOU HAVE TO SWITCH cruises!!!

Denine - Did you get the quote from Dreams Unlimited? I know that for a Category 9 for 2 adults and 2 nine years olds, including trip insurance for everyone was $4800. Some say Costco is even cheaper so I will have to look into that.

Barb - what did you choose? Time off or extra $$$?

Susan - Hope your week this week will be better for you!!!!

Bonnie - I told you on the phone yesterday but I will do it in writing today: HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! :Pinkbounc :cheer2: :bounce:

Sally - all the reality shows will be starting in the next 2 weeks, are you ready!!??!!

Did anyone catch when Amazing Race will start?

Julie - I was so glad that my parents got to see..."If I were not upon the sea...." I love it!!!!

I had a good weekend and was glued to my mom Sunday and Monday!!!! Too bad I have to work today!!!

Heidi- I chose the money. I stayed here ALL day on Friday. It was not fun at the time but sure glad I did. Between last week and yesterday I have 5 and a half hours of overtime!! Yipppeeeeeee

Heidi- You are so cute..... with your "Glued to your Mother"! I bet she loved it. I know I would knowing my daughters loved me that much.

Barb

Barb - good choice, I think I would have chose the $$ too!!!! (have to save up so I can buy souveneirs for next cruise)

We were wrong on the price quote. Forgot to take out insurance and transfers, it was $5900 for the 3 of us. I do have an e-mail into my TA. She always beats everyone elses price.

I need a vacation from my vacation!

It is a gorgeous day, mid 80's and sunny. People are putting up fall decorations already. Not ready to do that. It is still summer.

Need to go grocery shopping, I am scrounging for dinner tonight.

Jerry is back to work today, I go back Friday.

I am soo hoping that Kaleigh will be in the clubs next October and we can spend more time around the pool and going to the talks and different tastings. We saw some of the talks on the TV, but unless I spent all my money on Flounder's, that wasn't going to happen. The Dudettes were kind enough to watch Kaleigh so we wouldn't miss our brunch. Kaleigh had a cold and couldn't go to Flounder's. She loved it there! She kept begging to go.

I am sure I will come up with more about our trip as the days go by.
