My spacebar wasn't working :badpc: so I couldn't post. My cousin's son (the one who lives here) installed a new keyboard. Yeah! :cheer2:

JULIE: It was so great to read your post. The wedding is July 16th :bride: :groom:. We are going out the 13th & staying until the 19th at Bally's (much cheaper than The Paris) still hoping a timeshare exchange will come through but it doesn't look good. I would love to have a "mini meet" in Las Vegas. Bonnie is thinking about coming out.

SANDY: I sent a money order for the pins & medallions but where were the lanyards coming from? I am losing my mind. I thought someone was taking orders. Don't want to brag but Joyce & I finally paid for our cruise :boat:

DENINE: Are you "all better" yet? :cold:

Enjoyed my first day off with sunshine today :sunny: Supposed to be in the 70's tomorrow but, of course, I am back to work (which has been really suckie ). Hope you all have a great week. Toodles  :genie: JEANNE

P.S. BONNIE: You can count me in! I'll try anything once.

Hi everyone!

Grrrrr I am upset. I had about 3/4 of a page typed in then lost it all. Grrrrrrrr

I am posting from home. I am super glad to be home. I was running on work burn out today. I need an attitude adjustment. Dreaming of Disney always helps!

It was snowing so hard this morning Tiffany's school was cancelled. It started about 6:00 this morning and didn't stop until around 2:00 this afternoon. Great big beautiful flakes. About the only place it was sticking was on top of the cars. By 3:30 all the snow was off my car. crazy weather :confused3

Julie-Missy shower is going to be the first weekend in May. She is due May 10th so it is really cutting it close. Since we will be at my brothers house in Oregon the last week of April I pushed into May. There is some really cute Baby Pooh stuff out. So I guess we will go with that. That school sounds super fun. I would love to go to it. Hummm career change...

Sandy-Where are you doing Pilates at? Is it hard?

Well Bob will be home soon. I have beef stew cooking. Great day for warm stew!

My brother is out of surgery. The surgery was delayed due to an emergency and they didn't get started until around 11:30. They finished a little after 4:00 this afternoon. The original plan called for replacing the mitral valve and the aortic valve and the aortic arch. They ended up only replacing the aortic valve. Apparently, the mitral vale looked to be distressed because of the insufficiency of the aortic valve. The aortic arch had not enlarged as much as they had anticipated so it did not have to be replaced. He is still on the ventilator and they will take their time weaning him off that in the next 24hrs. to keep his BP from rising too rapidly. They will move him out of the cardiac recovery unit within the next 24hrs. and then he will be in acute coronary care unit for a few days. The first 24hrs is critical to make sure the valve does not bleed/leak. Thanks for all the prayers.

ALSO (you know I can't have too much going smoothly), I took Turner to the doctor yesterday because he has had a headache off and on for over a week. We can't remember if he had the headache before he and Stanley hit heads or after. He is actually hurting around the cheekbone/temple area. I thought maybe he had a sinus infection because he had a cold a couple of weeks ago and the pollen is extremely high right now. They are going to do a CAT scan Thursday of his sinuses and head. They don't think it is his sinuses. They think he either has a skull fracture or migraines. They really think it is a fracture. Then, last night he started vomiting. I think he now has that stomach virus too!! Paul had him home today and he feels a little better this evening. I'll keep you posted about him on Thursday too.

Since I only got 2 hours of sleep last night and it has been a long day, I am heading to bed early so I can spend tomorrow at the hospital.

Thanks again for all the thoughts, prayers and kind words.

Love you guys!
Later!

Poor Turner!!! Prayers for your brother Sue...I hope all goes well when they wean him off the vent.

Jeanne!! YaHoo!!! We might as well include Joyce also! She will never know what hit her!...Tee Hee...A wave perhaps????

Heidi I thought of you first when I saw the rafting...I wish you were going...Please let her go Big Sis!!! I guess I should say older sis since you are now much smaller than me!

Susan - Poor Turner, either way it is a lose lose situation. I hope your brother is doing okay. Pixie dust and prayers to you and your family.

I ended up going home at lunch yesterday and slept. Last night I signed my life away with the lendor and today I meet with the realitor to sign the offer. Didn't fall asleep until 3:00am and I woke up at 5:00am, to say the least I am tired!!! My brain just wouldn't shut off last night...too much to think about. I kept thinking about how I can decorate the townhome, thinking about the estimate and the numbers...etc etc etc.

Okay I am too tired to think, can't come up with anything else to say!!! Have a great day!!!

My brother is off the ventilator and has had a sip of water. They still have him in the recovery unit so we get VERY, VERY limited time to see him. All is going well.

Heidi - great news about the townhome!

I'll post again later!

:cool1: :bounce: YEA!!! I am glad to see Susan's brother is doing well!! :cheer2: :flower: :sunny:

I am beginning to feel human again. I did a lot of baking this morning for our trip. Need to have food for the drive. I still have 2 salads to make, but that won't be today.

Sue: Glad to hear your brother is doing OK. Poor Turner. Keep us updated on both.

Heidi: I don't know exactly why people around here don't like FHA loans, they just don't seem to. Congrats on signing your life away!

I lost 1 pound this week. I didn't know what to expect with being sick, eating screwy and not doing my treadmill.

Kaleigh finally seems to be doing better. Her nose isn't running as much and she isn't sneezing as much today. Now, if we can keep Jerry from getting sick.

It is a beautiful day today, 75 and partly sunny. I wish I had worn shorts, but then it would have only been in the 60's. We planted a shrub and some lillies that came in the mail yesterday.

Bonnie: No rafting for me, thanks.

I have a slight headache, but I didn't take a decongestant today.

Until tomorrow.

Mom - you ready to watch Spanglish when I get home? Where are you today?

:badpc: Barb, I just lost a long post too. Grrrr! So you did have lots of snow?! We had rain and a nice rain it was. The wind is what was horrible.

Bonnie, Ted and I are contemplating rafting as well. With the water running class 1 to class 2+ it won't be a thrill ride. It will be a more scenic ride. There probably won't be any white caps. Ted used to kayak so we are familiar with the water lingo. Jeanne surprised me on that one!

Susan, happy to hear that your brother is doing good. Poor Turner! Let us know the outcome on him! I bet you are soooo tired. Take time for YOU!

Jeanne, we were watching Amazing Race last night and they were on an African safari and it made me think of you and Joyce. Remember our safari at Animal Kingdom? I don't think that I have laughed so much in my life. :rotfl: :rotfl: I need to send off a money order as well. Does it take cash to buy a money order or can you pay by check? Did you add the mailing fee? I am going to. MickeyFan1 is in charge of the lanyards for 2.25 and it states prepayment will be required. Not sure if she has worked it all out yet. We won't pay for our cruise until
the last minute.

Denine, gosh another pound lighter. Way to go! :cheer2: :cheer2: I am not exactly sure what I lost because I gave my diary to LAWL but I do know from Fri through today I lost a pound for a grand total of 45.2. They measured me today again and in just 4 measurements (bust, waist, hips and one thigh) I have lost a total of 24.5 inches. Don't push yourself too much cooking so you don't have a set back.

Heidi, can't wait for you to come home and tell me all about lunch today. I know that Michelle will write up some funny things. Don't forget it is our night for a movie and poached eggs.

Yea!! The Van Horn's and the Dudettes rafting!! No whitecaps at all??? Hmmm...may have to rethink this but it seemed interesting anyway. Acapulco is ok...shopping but no great shakes. The pools at the hotels are great though. Could be tempted to crash a hotel pool!!

BEAUTIFUL day here today. Soooo warm.

Is it Friday yet?

Today I get to help my best friend move into her apartment after work...let me tell you how much fun that is going to be considering she hates this apartment complex....I warned her. Hopefully get home in time for Survivor. She lives pretty far away and in the middle of rush hour craziness.

Tonight is the deadline the seller has to respond to me regarding the townhome offer. We will see!!!! :hourglass

Work is finally slowing down, but I am sure give it a week when someone else leaves and it will be crazy again!!!!!

Denine - glad you are starting to feel better.

Bonnie, sorry to disappoint you! Ted knows someone who knows someone that did it and said the same thing. He said it was very scenic. I have planned absolutely NOTHING for this trip. Can't figure out what has gotten into me.

Heidi, I got a kick out of your post. "I get to help" Taura move. Yea right, is get the right word or is HAVE to? lol You better call me as soon as you hear from Michelle on the townhome.

It is going to be a beautiful day here. 72. Not shabby! The radio said rain tomorrow and thunderstorms on Saturday. The tv said it was to be nice tomorrow and rain and snow on Saturday. Who do you believe?

Why can't I sleep when I can and why can I sleep when I can't??

NO SNOW OR RAIN!!!! I am supose to go up to the mountians this weekend, I am hoping for warm weather!!!

Your right, I don't "get to help Taura" I have to help her!!!

Good Morning!

I hear Heidi about Friday. This has been one long week. I have not been in the right state of mind to handle all the yelling I have to listen to from customers. I am having a hard time caring. I just cringe every time I get a call. People have been pretty nasty this week.

Went to see Miss Congeniality 2 last night. It was cute. It was nice to get out. We have been sticking pretty close to home the past 3 months with The Thorn then just getting caught back up.

Susan- Hope everything is better for you.

Not much else going on with me.

Barb

My brother has been moved to the Acute Critial Care Unit. I haven't seen him since Tuesday night btu I will get to today. My sister-in-law said he is very emotional when she gets there and when she leaves. But, all in all, he is doing well.

We pick Turner up at lunchtime to take him for his CAT scan. Then we plan to go see my brother and then out to eat for Paul's birthday.

HAPPY 40th BIRTHDAY, PAUL!

I'll post again this evening if I get a chance. I may go back to work tomorrow.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you Heidi!!!

Later!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAUL !!!! Gosh, you are still so young!

Susan, I bet you can't wait to see your brother. I am not surprised that he is so emotional. It seems surgeries do that to people. Pixie dust to Turner today!

Still on the mend. I wore myself out yesterday. I made 2 salads today and I will make dinner later and that is it. I haven't started back on the treadmill yet.

I work tomorrow, but I think Jerry wishes I would call off. I won't.

The garden center shipped my tree yesterday. I hope it arrives by Saturday, because we leave Sunday for HH. I need to go buy some compost. I hate not having a place to make my own, but give me time and I will.

Sue: Glad to hear your brother is improving. The anesthesia has that affect on people. Pixie dust for Turner's CAT scan. Happy birthday Paul!

Heidi: Call me weird. I actually like to help people move, just not me. They get to pack and unpack everything, and I get to help tell them where to put it all.

Barb: Sounds like you needed that night out!

Sandy: Jerry says I am looking thinner. It is always a plus when it becomes noticable. We also have no plans for this trip. I would love to go on a scenic river ride, just not in a raft. And, don't even think about getting Jerry into one. You should have seen him trying to get into a canoe.

17 years ago tomorrow, Jerry and I went on our first date. It sure doesn't seem like that much time has passed.
