October 19th Cruisers again and again... Part 2

Denine - I do not want an ARM because I don't like the adjustable rate, I don't want to take a risk that in 5 years the interest rate will be at 9% that I have to refinance to. I have no idea how long I will stay in this place, so I much rather be safe than sorry and worry about the future interest rate.

Mom - Robert (the lendor I was working with from Standford Commons) gave me an estimate and it is $200 cheaper a month than the other guy, but a higher interest rate....why and how could that be possible? I just don't get it.

Sally-welcome back among the living...sounds like you had pneumonia with the crackles.

Did someone say raises? Shall I brag? No...no polite to talk about money but mine, with the well deserved salaray adjustment is about 7%. Couldn't help it!

Well Sandy, I should do well if eating that often speeds up the metabolism! Although if that's what it does, why am I so fat? What is your total loss now?

Oh my Heidi! That is stressful! Buying a house is tops on the list for stress. Sounds fishy...$200 less for a higher interest rate...hmmm. Look out. Are those monthly's w/ or w/o taxes included? Don't forget insurance, association fee etc.

Jeanne-I guess it's casual then?

Got snow overnight. Nothing really to brag here but the totals are so different all over Denver. To the East and south some got 6" and some got 12". One school district is closed. Some are on accident alert. It is crazy. Our roads are dry.

Bonnie, my total is 44 pounds off. I have 15 to go. I would love to pad that loss with another 5 pounds for the cruise. I would have to pay 5.00 per week to lose that before they put me on stablization though. Guess I will have to wait until I finally reach goal and decide then. WOW, that is some raise. Good for you! First drinks are on you! :rotfl2:

I watched a program on PBS last night about the Panama Canal. It was pretty interesting. I probably wouldn't have chosen it if I was going through there. I understand the locks now. I need to "see" things before I learn. I can pronounce "culebra" cuts now too.

Wonder how Jeanne is doing. Heidi was suffering from a migraine last night. Slept most of the night. She watched Idol and Simple Life and that was it. Too much going on right now for her. I think stress brought it on.

Better go do my hair before Graci gets here. Later gators.

After last nights bad migraine I didn't think I would make it to work today, but the migraine seems to be gone. Ya I am sure the migraine was brought on by stress, weather, and too much sweets.

Denine - I am now thinking about a 7 year ARM. I talked it over with my dad and am now getting estimates on the ARM also to compare. (Although I am not sure if I EVER want to go throught this stress again, let alone in 7 years!!!)

I think the estimate of $1200+ was that the lender was quoting me Interest only to make the payments look good. Cheaters!!!! Get my hopes up.

Well go back to the townhome today to hopefully show it to my uncle (he is the home inspector) and my sister.

Hopefully no more migraine!!! Have a great day. Today is my Friday and I get to go SKIING tomorrow, I can't wait. :Pinkbounc :bounce: :cheer2:

Good Morning

I am still at home today. I had taken half of yesterday off and all of today to help Missy's clean her apartment she moved out of. We finished yesterday. But today it is really cold and the roads are bad. I am getting ready to go in late. Booooooo don't want to go to work!

Well better get going

Barb ::MickeyMo

Heidi: The reason we like ARM's is because most people don't have their loans for more than 10 years anymore. They either refinance or move. It has held true for us. Although, we are staying put until we move south now. You get a lower interest rate now which makes it easy to make extra payments to bring down the loan total for when it does adjust or either of the above. Just something else to think about.

Kaleigh is still sick. Her poor little nose. At least her fever is gone.

Bonnie: Congrats!

Sandy: You are doing amazingly well. Only 15 to go. No one is going to recognize you come cruise time! WOW! Those are some cuts. They want to raise the city income tax here. We vot in May. Jerry has been shy on raises lately and we thought for sure he wasn't going to get one since he got such a nice bonus. Now, if I can get my review and get my meager raise...

It was beautiful yesterday. We got up to 70. Jerry got some work done in the yard. He has to fill in some low spots with dirt we had used to make an island bed, but the bed won't work where it is. We still need to get topsoil to fill in the really low spot all the way in the back. Tomorrow night it is supposed to snow.

I work the next 2 days. I was only supposed to work tomorrow, but someone needed Saturday off. We can use all the money we can get with all the stuff we need to do around here. I really want to geth the laundry room painted so I can buy the cabinets and get those up.

We may go buy more paint since this is the last day for the sale.

Okay a coworker told me that I do not have to pay the Loan origination fee without increasing the interest fee. Does anyone know if this is true?

Wow, is it ever quiet here today. :rolleyes1 Can anyone come out and play? Ted and Heidi have gone skiing and it is mighty quiet at home too.

Weighed in today and got an unintentional compliment. The counselor :love2: asked me if I really needed to lose another 15 pounds as I am already skinny. I still want to lose it. I don't feel or look skinny. Heidi and I are exactly the same heighth and I weigh A LOT more than her and still would with losing another 15 pounds. Obviously I am getting there though. They want to put my picture up. I somewhat knew that as they keep saying "they have plans for me".

We went to checkout the townhouse again last night with my brother who is a home inspector. He told Heidi if she didn't buy it HE would. If she moves, it will be a very emotional time for both of us. It already started last night. We are sooooooo close. The good thing is that she would be VERY, VERY close to us. Heck, I will probably remain the head chef. :rotfl2: Anyone want to come over and help paint when she moves??

Denine, how is Kaleigh feeling?

Sheez, Ted and the powers had another meeting about raises and jobs. It is pretty scary but he won't lose his job this year. I get scared because he has been with the City for like 33 years so he is considered a high paid salary. They are always the first to go so they can hire another much cheaper. The absolutely wonderful thing about it is he is the ONLY one that knows anything about acquisitions and they even discussed that yesterday. I just hope and pray they keep him until retirement.

Guess I will go see what I can do to make myself more useful.

I'm sick ,but I'm here.

After 2 days of Kaleigh coughing and sneezing on me and the millions of times I have wiped her nose, I've got it. I started with a sore throat last night and it was awful this morning. I lfet work a 1/2 hour early. I will do my best to make it in tomorrow. I haven't called off in over 2 years. I slept most of the day.

Even with a sore throat, we did get the laundry room painted. It still needs to have the rest of it put back in order, but it looks nice. I have never painted anything lavender before.

Heidi: I guess you had better buy that house! Jerry says the terminology could be different things. Some places call the loan orgination fee points and vice versa. You need to shop around. In general, paying points lowers your interest rate. 1 point equals 1% of the amount borrowed.

Sandy: The poster girl for LA weight loss!

I have now received the 2 towel bars for our bathroom and the one for Kaleigh's bathroom. I also got the grapevine switch plates I had to have since they match my kitchen and I already have a bunch. I know other stuff has been shipped.

Jerry was standing over my shoulder as I typed the info for Heidi. I don't know what I am talking about.

Heidi: More info. Points and the loan origination fess are tax dedutable as well as any interest you pay. Also, check out Countrywide mortgage. They have a nice website. We would have gone through them for this loan, but it was better for us to go with the mortgage comapny owned by the buider. The loan was sold to countrywide.

Well, I just purchased a tree for the front corner of the house. I e-mailed the gardners at the catalog with my dilema and they suggested the tree I was leaning toward. It is a yellow-leafed eastern redbud.

Poor Sandy. She had to talk to herself for awhile yesterday. I guess you figured out that I worked Thursday & Friday. Two really busy days so Joyce had to meet me at Los Amigos last night after work :drinking1

Bonnie & I are off the the "Spring Fling" :dancer: :dancer: tonight but I think "Spring Shower Fling" :umbrella: would be more appropriate! Rain, rain go AWAY! :umbrella:

The poor Pope.
I don't know who all is Catholic but I do think he is a blessed man

Just wanted to stop in & say "Hi".This darn space bar :badpc: Miss you all. :grouphug: Hope YOU have a sunny :sunny: weekend. :genie: Toodles JEANNE

Had a great day skiing yesterday!!! Beautiful blue sunny day leads to a burned nose and my mom and dad keep making fun of me. I did put on lotion w/ sunscreen but I guess it did not help!!!

Denine - Thanks so much for all your help (thank you Jerry too!!!) I have been trying to come up with Countrywide, but for the life of me I couldn't remember the name, thanks!!

Jeanne/Bonnie - Have fun tonight. Stay dry!!!!

Yes I will be very excited but VERY emotional if I get this place. I wish I just hated my parents so it would be easier, but no we just have to be close!!!! Atleast it is only 2 miles away (if that) so I can still watch reality shows with them and smooze dinner off them!!!

See, what did I tell you???? I will remain the head chef. :rotfl: At least Heidi and I can talk about it now without crying! Progress!

Sorry Bonnie and Jeanne, but it is suppose to be in the 70's today. A great day for a Spring Fling for us.

Denine, can't thank you enough for your help for Heidi. Very thoughtful. How are you feeling today? I have a sore throat of sorts. Got it last night and it is only on one side and only hurts when I swallow. Didn't get better, didn't get worse over night. How is Kaleigh feeling?

Jeanne, everytime you post Los Amigos I want to run out to Armadillos for a malibu margarita. Mmmmmmm. I would love to figure out how to pack juices and malibu rum for the cruise. I would need pineapple juice, cranberry juice and citrus juice. Quite honestly, we could probably do without the citrus. We aren't Catholic but it is so sad about the Pope. I am Lutheran and Ted is non-denominational.

::MickeyMo Good Morning!

DId my usual Saturday 4 hour cleaning and now I am done. I have to take a shower then think I may go tanning then to the commissary. Tiffany is at a baseball game. She is the manager for her school team. Jaymee is off to a Sky Sox baseball game. (Our local team) Bob is working.,

Got a Disney vacation planning DVD in that I am listening too. I am ready for a vacation!

Denine-Sorry you and Kaleigh are sick. Pixie Dust to you.

Glad you are still in one piece Heidi after skiing. Hope everyone has a wonderful Saturday!

Barb ::MickeyMo

Happy Saturday all.

I was the good daughter and went to a chinese auciton with my mom last night. She sounded so disappointed when I said I probably wouldn't go so I dragged myself there. I didn't win anything. She did and gave it to me...cute little mugs, tea and 2 chicken soup books. She also won one of the door prizes. They had hundreds of stuff! And that was about what it was...stuff.

Yep...spring fling soaker tonight. I have a terrible headache but will go of course. Jeanne is supposed to pick me up...I may drive myself if this HA doesn't go away. It's just a few miles up the road.

Sandy YOU ARE THIN!!!! I have lost a total of only 9#...will probably gain at the fling tonight. All I have to do is look at food.

Heidi....best of luck with the townhouse!!!

I think I will put my head to bed for a bit.

I am so miserable. It is a full blown sinus infection. I did make it to work and went to the doctor after. The pharmacy was only able to give me 3 of the ATB's because that is all she had. She has gone through 5 bottles of the stuff. Everyone is out. She is supposed to get the rest in tomorrow. The doctor even gave me a script for cough syrup with codeine. I think she knows something I don't. I can't sleep because of the pain, so I may take it tonight to get some sleep.

We have a new snow record. I could have done wihtout it. It is still snowing and blowing. I made Jerry drive me to work this morning. I had a fever and I was meiserable and I wasn't driving in the crap.

Kaleigh is feeling better. Still coughing and a runny nose, but better.

Bonnie & Jeanne: Enjoy your Spring Fling!

Heidi: You are more than welcome for the info. Let me know if you need anymore info.

Barb: I bet the DVD is great!

Sandy: I hope your sore throat doesn't get any worse.

Too bad about the Pope. Saw it on TV when it was announced. Jerry is Catholic, and I am not.

I everyone! I hope everyone had a nice weekend!

Bonnie and Jeanne, how was the spring fling???? I'm sure with the two of you, it was a blast!

Denine, hope you feel better.

All the kids have had this virus with the running nose and fever and barking cough. Garry (the big guy) got it the worst! He slept from 11am til 7:30pm on Thursday and then went back to bed at 9pm. He got up around 9:30am on friday, but then went back sleep. He's like me. I can only get better if I sleep it away! Brooke got an ear infection I took her yesterday afternoon and we caught it in its very early stage, so hopefully it won't be too bad for her. She's anti's to get rid of it. I swear! This year is HORRIBLE so far! This is the sickest the kids have ever EVER been. Garry went to the doctor's on friday because of his back. The took xrays and gave him flexril and napersin (sp) for the pain and muscle relaxent(sp) (sorry the brian isn't working today so my spelling is wayyyy off!)
Anna Marie was here this week and is now gone and won't be back until May 14th. That's what you get when she lives 1 hr away and wants to do things with her school. We all knew it was coming to an end, just hurts now because the kids,Garry and I really love her being here. Pretty soon it will be only once a month for a visit If that! There's nothing we can do.

Sandy, so does Denver really want to be like the Browns???? LOL!! I think you guys have our complete,if not close to it, our old defensive line! Courtney Brown, Ebenzer Encubon (sp), etc... What are your papers saying about all that you guys got from Cleveland. Around here they are saying that people in Denver aren't happy with the moves. I guess we got the running back Droughns(sp) (pronounced DRONES) for some of the players I mentioned.
Also Congrats! Being used for a promotional campaign is great! I want a copy of the poster when it comes out!!!! I'm so very proud of you!

Heidi, I wouldn't get upset about moving out of your mom's for this townhouse that sounds great! I live about 1-2 mins from my mom's (if that she lives 2 streets away) and we are always there! In the summer time, the kids and I walk over there all the time. It's made our relationship even stronger! We still talk on the phone at least once a day too. Just remember, you can never have enough of mom and dad!! (ok, some times you can have too much... WAY TO much!! LOL) BUT Being close can be a really nice thing.

Barb, so what's next? Another dinner party? Baby shower? Cruise?? How's Sally doing?

Bonnie, WAY TO GO on the weight loss!!!!! YOU GO GIRL!!!!!!! You are doing great, so keep it up! Boy the next time I see all of you I don't think I will recognize any of you!!!

Everyone is doing great with their weight loss! Keep it up!!

Susan, so how are things going? Isn't your brother's procedure coming up soon? Pixie Dust to him and to you too!! You are in my thoughts and prayers!

Well, gotta go!

I'LL stop in a little later!!!
