Overcast AGAIN today.
I need SUN

Cleaned both bathrooms, my bedroom & did my wash.Yeah! Also went to the food store & visited my Mom & Aunt.
Now it is computer time.

Julie: This has been a horrible winter for everyone health wise. A friend of ours has 2 kids and they have been sick ALL winter. The one Kaleigh's age just started with projectile vomitting yesterday. Other friend's have also been sick a lot. We have to keep cancelling and rescheduling. We have been pretty lucky until now.

Feeling some better today. My head doesn't hurt as much, but then, I am not laying down either. I took the GOOD cough syrup last night and got some sleep. Jerry picked up the rest of my ATB's today.

All the snow is gone and it is up to 50 outside. May get more snow come Friday. Supposed to be decent during the week which is good because the one nursery I ordered from shipped a shrub and some flowers I ordered. They need to be planted right away. I hope they hold off on the rest. I am not ready and neither is the ground.

Jeanne: I bet you 2 had a lot of fun!

Nothing else going on. At least I wasn't sick on a nice weekend. We leave 1 week from today for HH. I need to feel better so I can make snacks for the drive.

Denine, I feel so sorry for you. How are you feeling? My sore throat was horrible last night and today is 100 times better. Hope you get better soon so you can get out in that new yard and start all the planting.

Julie, your poor family has been sick ALL winter long. And I mean ALL winter. So sorry to hear you guys are at it again. You need some warm days to kill off the germs and air the house out!! I feel bad for you about Anna Marie but at least you knew it was coming. Doesn't make it any easier but at least you were somewhat prepared. She definitely is getting older and friends mean so much at her age. It doesn't mean that she loves her family any less.

Jeanne, so what kind of goody food did you guys have. At least I can enjoy food through you people. I didn't realize the Spring Fling was a dance. Just look at it this way.....you exercised the food off.

I must have mislead you people. I am not going to be a poster child locally or anywhere just in our LA Weight Loss Center.

The family is waiting for me to watch 60 Minutes. Better run. Love to all.

I forgot to tell you all that we were going to be in Raleigh Fri-Sun for Turner's final season hockey tournament. They played 5 games and won all 5 and came home with the championship banner and medals. Very proud of all the boys!

My brother's surgery is tomorrow. It is planned for 7:00am. I am working today and took the rest ofthe week off. I will post as soon as I have a chance to to let you all know how it went. Thanks for the continued prayers and pixie dust.

Congrats to everyone with the weight loss. I know where it has gone - to me!

Heidi - the townhouse sounds great. You'll still be close to your mom and dad so go for it if you can swing it!

Oh my gosh, there is a ton of sickies here this weekend!! I hope everyone is feeling much better!!! Thanks to my mom, she passed on her sore throat to me!!!!

I am going to try for the townhome, I write the contract this Wednesday with my realitor!!! I am excited but still confused. Both lendors said an FHA loan works best for me. One lendor is quoting me $3,500 closing costs and I would have to put down a $5,000 down payment for a monthly payment of $1310 (we are hoping the seller would agree to paying $5,000.) Another lendor is quoting me a no cost loan (which means a little higher interest rate) and I would have to make a down payment of $5,000 for a monthly payment of $1239. Okay how could that be? I asked the second lendor if he was quoting me a fixed rate and if it was an interest only monthly payment. He said yes it is a fixed rate, and no FHA does not offer interest only program. Than my next question to him was if HOA, taxes and insurance was in this payment....he said yes. Okay than obviously his is the best offer, no closing costs and a lower payment um okay....BUT how could he be so much cheaper than everyone else. He has to be hiding something but I can't figure out what, WHAT COULD I BE MISSING?

Good morning everyone......sorry to hear so many of you are sick...not fun! I am pretty much over everything I think...still cough a little. I cleaned the patio yesterday and it is all ready for summer now....I have done a little work in the yard but I am having a yard sale Thur and Fri so am busy with that right now. I hate to have yard sales but I have so much stuff to get rid of and a couple Kilns so my friend said she would help me.

It is suppose to snow tomorrow but the next day back to nice weather and Thur/Fri in the 60's.

What a beautiful day! I am in shorts right now and it is to snow tomorrow. Crazy!

Went to LA Weight Loss today. Only lost .4 from Friday but I didn't care. I had my favorite counselor who was promoted and left. She now travels to all the centers. She took a lot of time with me and explained the new program and why I should not be afraid to use it. They talked to a dietician and asked what could I do different to try and lose faster and more consistant. I am adding more variety and more food. I was sticking to the lowest calorie food on the diet and they think I need to add more calories. Sounds good to me!

Julie, sorry but I just don't follow any sports so I haven't heard anything about the Broncos and the Browns. Heidi said she was going to check it out.

Susan, keep us posted on your brother tomorrow. We know that you will be so busy the next few days. Please, pop in and let us know when you can. He will certainly be in our prayers!! Congrats to Turner. That was some spectacular weekend for those boys!

Barb, don't you know by now that all men are crabby when they are sick? And oh boy, the "whoa is me" comes into play also. One time Ted and I were both sick and he was talking to his dad on the phone about how sick he was and I had a "touch" of it. He has never lived that one down! Right Heidi?

Now Sally. Don't you ever listen to all of us? There is plenty of time to get this stuff done. Go slow. Your body still needs to mend. How is Dick doing? Any news on him?

Heidi, glad that the other realtor figured it all out. Now I wonder if you should stay away from him and use the guy coming over tomorrow.

Hi all! I still feel lousy. I am so tired, but I can't sleep because I can't breathe, but I can't stay awake either when I am up. The codeine cough syrup at least lets me get some sleep at night.
Jerry worked from home today, but he goes back tomorrow. Kaleigh is better, but she is still coughing and her nose is still runiing. Wish me luck for tomorrow on taking care of both of us.
I have so much to do this week before we leave, but no energy to do any of it.

Sue: Pixie dust and prayers for your brother tomorrow. Turner. great job!

Heidi: It is all so confusing. Are you sure you want to do FHA? People around here are reluctant to accept those loans as buyers. Maybe it is different where you live.

Barb: Pixie dust to Bob. Yes, we do have daylight savings. We didn't switch our clocks until yesterday morning, because I forgot. At least we didn't have to be anywhere. Good to see it lighter longer.

Jerry is actually good when he is sick, not like most men.

Sandy: I would love to wear shorts. It is supposed to be 67 tomorrow. Nice today, but not for shorts. I think you are doing great with your weight loss. Why do you need to speed it up?

Well, got on the scale yesterday and I was up 4 #...probably fluid retention from the key lime cosmo sat. night...got on the scale this am and lost another # (which would make a 5# difference from sun-mon)from the original for a total making it 10# total...strange how the body works. That is why they tell you to weigh yourself once a week!!!
Sandy I am soooo proud of you, you are my inspiration!! Now I have to get back to doing my pilates so I can firm and lose better/faster. Just the getting started part!

The sprin fling was fun. The food was good, danced a bit. Saw only a couple old faces I knew back when but forgot names so didn't bother talking...they knew me when I was really fat.

Denine I hope you feel better. My headache was probably due to the rain.

Heidi I don't envy you at all. Stressful enough buying a home but with all those different quotes it makes it even worse!!! It used to be better long ago...you had adjust rates, 30 yr fixed or that dreaded baloon payment! Personally I would like a load that you pay every 2 weeks...end up paying an extra payment each year and hardly notice it.

Work was nuts but that's ok...got to tell some of my nurses that their salaries are being adjusted upwards. Most were thrilled...the problem one wanted to know why some and not others, why were they doing it etc...I just wanted to say "shall I tell them to take it back from you..???? If I had rated you the way the director wanted me to you wouldn't be getting anything!" Jeez!!! Time for her to move on!!!

Denine - why do people not like the FHA loans out there? My sister has an FHA loan and she hasn't said anything bad about it. Wonder why they don;t like an FHA? NOw you definitely have my interest!!!!

Mom - You are right about dad and that time being sick, but I remember him telling grandpa how sick he was and that you had "a little cold" when you both had the same thing!!! Men and sicknesses!!!! Guess what...Bonnie (my sisters MIL) wrote back to me and she said May 14th would work best for her for the baby shower, so I guess that gives me another 2 weeks to plan!!! She wrote thanks for helping.....helping with what? I don't know about her!!!!

Sally/Barb - Did you get the snow today that the news was talking about? We were supose to get 2-5 inches and woke up to rain and no snow!!!! I guess Monument Hill has a blizzard advisory.

Julie - Denvers opinion regarding getting some of the Browns players is not positive. I guess the ones we are getting is not the best players!!!

Don't you wonder where they find the families on the Nanny shows.....I know kids can be bad but these kids are from......I can't believe what terrible parents there are out there...no wonder the kids are so bad.

Sally - I can't believe how uncooperative the mom was on Nanny 911. She calls the show and then she puts up so much grief. I can't believe she snooped in the nanny's black book and then put it up on the refrigerator. The mom was a total mess. If my kids were that bad, I don't think I would want to be viewed by the world on how horrible my kids are!!!

Sally, at least Big Brother starts up soon. That is one of my all time favorites. I love the Nanny shows but every week we do wonder where they find these families. I would be too embarrassed for the world to find out that my kids spit and swear and everything else.

Bonnie, I am up .8 today.....and tomorrow is our official weigh in here. I wish I didn't weigh myself today. I just can't believe what my body put me through! STRESS! We WERE doing pilates/yoga really good but have slacked off. Need to get going again. I will have to go over to the other site and check out the rafting.

Denine, my weight loss is so inconsistant and that is why they want to "redo" the diet. It is just not stable like most people. They do know how I stick to the program so they would just like to find ways to help me lose and increase my metabolism due to the thyroid. Thanks for your compliment. So....how are the two ladies feeling in your house today?

Hi guys! Sally, I'm with you and the reality shows. I love them! So, who is all left in the Amazing Race? I know I posted who had who, but I can't remember who's teams are left besides Garry's and mine. Garry has Rob and Amber and I keep saying to him that this IS his team. I can see him doing some of these same "tricks"!LOL! I don't care for my team. The beauty queen and soldier. I'd like to know what "beauty" contest she won! (sorry I shouldn't have said that but her looks don't look like any "beauty winner" I've seen. Maybe its the makeup??) She just rubs me the wrong way. Do you watch American Idol??

Heidi, in our newspapers they are reporting that people out there aren't happy. I liked most of them, but I guess they didn't get the job done. That's obivious just look at our record last year!!! Maybe they will improve with a different coach. That is usually how it works. In any sports a player that is "so so" or "ok" gets released or traded to another team usually has a fantastic future. On I think that the only big reason people out her don't like FHA loans is that in order to "sell" your house, EVERYTHING must be up to code. LIke all outlets need to be grounded etc. The inspection is really detailed. most newer houses don't seem to care about people going FHA, but those persons with older homes don't like that they have to get everything fixed that they could "get away with" if the buyer went through a realitor. AT LEAST that is what we found out when we went to buy this house. We were going to go FHA and the previous owner wasn't to excited about it, but he wasn't against it. It seems to take longer for the sale to go through. We didn't go FHA after all, but it was an option we were looking into.

Barb, so how are the shower plans going? Did you go with the baby Roo??? Or did you find clasic Pooh? Do you have a Babies R Us out there? They may have some of the classic pooh invitations. The Disney College of Knowledge is for travel agents only. It is a series of tests about different disney areas ( resorts, parks, cruiseline, tickets, etc) after you read and absorb the information. BUT, alot of the info is stuff we learned by visiting the parks. They really don't give you any "secrets" that a person who has been to disney as may times as we have been. Their secrets are like use the fastpass, Take a break midday when the parks are crowded, etc. The Cruiseline section, I didn't even read and just took the test and passed with 100%. I will look at the sections again to see if there is any secrets I missed and I can post anything that might be of interest. If there is any "particular" area or specific question you might have, just let me know. But I bet everyone on this thread would have the answer too!

Denine, the Big Guy is finally feeling better. He was sick all last week and didn't start feeling like himself until yesterday. I'm waiting for the phone to ring from preschool telling me that I need to pick him up because he wants to sleep or something like that. I hope that doesn't happen but it is definitely a possibility!! IF you need some "adult" talk, give me a call!!!

Jeanne, hi there!!!! I hope you didn't get all that rain that they are reporting here. Boy does NJ look flooded!!! I hope you have stayed dry! When is the wedding again?? July? Maybe we could do a mini meet in Las Vegas? Wouldn't that be fun!!! I'd just have to get rid of the kids for a few days!! LOL!!!

Julie - thanks for the rundown on FHA. So it doens't really matter that I get an FHA loan, it might matter when I sell the house if the buyer gets an FHA loan, right?

Not feeling too well today, probably will go home for lunch and not come back. I think I have been going going going and with all the stress my body is telling me to chill out. So heres to hoping I get off at lunch and get to take a nap and relax!!

Heidi, at least that is our experience with FHA loans. I sure there is more to it that Denine might have, but when I was talking to lenders they didn't see anything wrong with FHA back then . Things might have changed since then. If your sister bought with a FHA loan and it worked for her, then I don't see a problem if it helps you out now.
