October 13th, 2007~"Cruise-A-Palooza"

Just ordered the 2007 DCL cruise DVD. It takes up to 4-6 weeks to get???:confused3
I want to use the book cover to make a crusie magnet. Has anyone else seen it yet? Off to shop for holiday bargains!

Hope everyone is going to have a great weekend.

I may be leaving this group as I am more than likely switching my reservation to the Aug 2008 repo if I can get on the ship with a good price. Will keep you posted.

It has finallly gotten colder in PA, but no snow. Thanks goodness.

For anyone renting one-way cars:

I just rented our car on Budget for two 1 way trips.

MCO to CC5 (Cape Canaveral) Full size (Taurus) = $52.71 total 10/12-10/13

CC5 to MCO (Ford Escape) = $60.13 10/20-10/20

I used Wal-Mart code "W810011". These are better rates than I got last October. :cool1:

I also just went to Hotwire checking out hotels for night before. There was a 3* at MCO listed for $39.00 ::yes::

I'm holding out for the Hyatt. Probably won't see a deal for that until October, though. ;)

Is that with unlimited mileage?

OH NO!!!! :scared:  we've got this date but I'll be damned if the Pannama canal cruise doesn't look good. GO BEARS!!!!!

My DW and I were just talking about staying in town the night before. I've read that the Raddison has a shuttle to the Disney Port, are there any others? We're definitely looking at arriving on the 12th to avoid feeling rushed getting there.

All the best,
Tex

i heard that the radison is not a very well kept hotel and the buses are very out of shape and discusting

We always fly in the day before. It's nice to wake up in the morning all refreshed and have just a short drive to the ship. It also avoids possible flight delays. :thumbsup2

We usually fly in late, so we stay at the Hyatt at MCO and then drive over in the am.

That's funny about the Radisson, I've never heard anything bad about it. It seems to be a favorite place to stay, pre-cruise... or at least it used to be. :confused3

I've stayed numerous times at the Radisson and never had a problem. Alot of people use their shuttle service.

We'll be coming down the day before too. Of course... we just got our annual pass vouchers and now we're thinking of squeezing in a few days of park time pre or post cruise, lol!

Hi Everyone - I haven't been posting for quite some time. We have been staying at the Ron Jon Resort the last few years b4 the cruise. Loved it! This year I think we are coming down early and staying in WDW.

***Sorry to interrupt your thread, this won't take a minute*** :flower3:

Kevin? Yoo-hoo!!! Kevin, are you still out there? I thought this might be the easiest way to catch up with you but I'll also PM you. I dropped the ball with the Yahoo site (as did everyone else) and I come seeking guidance and clarity to re-inflate said ball.

Hey, Jen! How are you up there in the great North? :goodvibes

***thank you for your patience - have a nice evening***

Hi Brenda! Long time no talk! We are doing pretty good. I'm making Mark earn his keep. I tore my right calf muscle in a "step" class at the health club and am on crutches so Mark is having to help out. Lets just saying it's been pretty interesting to say the least. See, I try to get fit and in shape before the cruise to allow myself some more moccachinos and see what happens?

So, how are you guy's? Staying healthy and warm?

I have been wondering where Kevin is myself. He's been quiet lately. If you talk to him tell him we miss him over here. ;)

Take Care, Brenda! :)

Hi everyone~

Just joining in! We're about to put our deposit in for the 10/13/07 Eastern Magic. It's our first cruise ever and we are soooo excited!!! DH & I will be celebrating our 10 year anniversary and will be bringing our DS who will be 3 1/2 at that time.

Crossing fingers there won't be any hurricanes:goodvibes

Y'all are so organized! I'm amazed how far in advance you booked and that you already got your transportation & pre-cruise accomodations taken care of!

We'll also be on Deck 7.

Can't wait!!! Time to lose some weight to fit in a bathing suit LOL
