Could anyone tell me the best way to get to Coki beach on St Thomas? (Taxi, walk etc...)
I found a great website on the board to Coral World Ocean Park and its supposed to be next door to Coki beach. The have a "Sea Trek" adventure that sounds very interesting. Hers a link:

Happy Holidays!!!

This season has just snuck up on me from out of no where. The semester is finally over...I'm happy to announce that I made all A's in my classes and that my final project was a huge success. My professor wants to exhibit it next semester along with some other students artwork.

Now I get a breather, catch up on some things at home, enjoy what's left of the holidays and try to be a little more active on our thread. I hope everyone's holidays have been going well. I'm usually not a last minute shopper, but this year I didn't really have a choice. About the only person I have all taken care of in the way of gifts is the BF, but we're not celebrating Christmas until he gets back from Italy...so I could have actually waited on his gifts...LOL

Well...I hope you all have a very Happy Holiday and get everything your hearts desire.

I do have one question for anyone who might have the answer...the BF is taking me to Colorado in February. My first trip to Colorado ever and I'm beyond excited. However, living in Northern Virginia, I haven't had much call for major snow gear. I'm specifically looking for any suggestions anyone may have on a good brand of snow boots that I can get for the trip. He's planning to take me snowmobiling as well, which is another first for me...so any suggestions on proper dress for that type of activity is also appreciated. I'm borrowing goggles from a friend, I have snow bibs, gloves and I do believe in layers...I also have a pretty nice Columbia Jacket that I figured would work out there. So any other tips would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance...

Just dropping in to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukah.

I think I am ready for the holiday. But are you every really ready.

Congratulations Dana on the straight A's. I can't help you with the snow gear question, but LL Bean probably has something for your needs.

Bev--- I know you can't walk to Coki beach, taxi is probably the best. I've been to Coral World and it wasn't next door to the dock. I think we are going to St. John's this time as we have been to St. Thomas numerous times. Though that is DH favorite island.

Last day of work for 3 days.

Have a wonderful Holiday everyone.

Nancy

Hey Bev - It was on the first day of the cruise. We hadn't even left port. They have a party on deck 9 and they pulled me out of the crowd and had to shake my tushy for the masses:banana: . Needless to say the rest of the cruise I had people coming up to me and saying things like "I remember you from the deck party" or "nice dancing out there". If you want to check it out I have a trip report on the tr site called Oct 06 double dip.

288 and counting!

Did anyone get any gifts for the cruise for Christmas? I went out to ebay and found a shore excursion bag and some coozies for my DW. Just putting together my 2007 Diseny Calendar on my computer and I must say October is looking good - so many boxes that say "Disney Cruise!" Hope everyone has a safe New Year's. Soon enough the cruise will be "this year!"

See ya real soon...

We give the GK's cruise presents for Xmas for our trip in December 2007. The kids also received them last year when we cruised in March 2006.
:cheer2:

Hi Steve-

My son Ryan (age 8) will also be coming and with his little brother (age 6). Does your Ryan like to email, I'm sure mine would like a penpal that he could meet on the cruise. Just let me know... WELCOME!

Hey Steve - We were on that same cruise. We did the same thing and booked on board.

Welcome to the group Crissy!
My family is excited about this trip. Anyone else using anything as a count down? We have a paper chain that one person gets to remove a link every day. With New Years past it seem the trip is just around the corner!
My kids are older DD 10 and DD 17 at time of sailing.

Happy New Year to all October Cruisers!!!

I'm thrilled that I can say, "I'm going on the Disney Crusie this year!" At the same time I'm now wondering, what do I need to save? My DW and I have decided to set-up a cruise savings account for the year. Could anyone who has been on the cruise give me a ballpark of what to expect from a spending standpoint above the pre-paid cruise fare. Essentially, what should I expect for out-of-pocket expenses once I step on board. We've never been on a cruise before so this is a double surprise; first cruise / first Disney Cruise!

Cheers!

Hi everyone! Sorry I haven't been around much. This moving to NC is taking up all my spare time... not to mention the holidays, and work, and the family, etc etc. It's soo fun to be able to say "I'm going on a cruise this year!!"

Well, we'll be southerners in a few weeks, then hopefully things will settle down and I can join in the fun more regularly!!

Here's a belated Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!

This will be our second Disney cruise (Western Magic Dec 2004 was our first) - DH, DS (8 almost 9 by then), DD (7) and DS (3 almost 4 by then). Can't wait! Looking forward to getting to know all of you!!:yay:

I haven't come up with a countdown yet. For my family the date is still too far away to start that (6 year old twins and an almost 5 year old) The fall is a crazy time for us - the kids go back to school and my youngest starts kindergarten, we have a slew of family birthdays in September including the twins' at the end of the month, soccer, karate, etc. all start back up. My thought is I will start an official count down with a chain or something similar in September but intend to use the summer months as a way for the kids to 'earn' Disney Dollars to spend anyway they like.

Yesterday at pre-school my 4 year old's class was discussing 2007 and a calendar. The teacher was showing each month and asking who had a birthday. For October the room was silent and my Wil raised his hand and said, "I'm going on the Disney Cruise in October!" He has a very severe speech issue so he is difficult to understand but the teacher had no problem at all! Needless to say, the majority of the kids want to come along with us!!:rotfl2:
