Thank goodness my kids don't start until after labor day!!!! But they didn't get out until the 8th of June either. Mine start high school and middle school this year, yikes!
The house is beautiful, the beach at the house is not safe for swimming, the waves are high and rough. We can walk there and get our feet wet, but not swim. We went to a different beach this morning, and they were still pretty rough. Everyone had fun though, and I bought 3 necklaces from a beach peddler LOL. Then dh and I went into Cabo San Lucas downtown and strolled through the flea markets and spent a bunch of cash at their upscale shopping mall. I had to buy SPF swim shirts for the kids, $35 a pop, cuz they are both sunburned. Also had to buy hats for 3 of the 4 of us. Mine was $45, which to most people may seem cheap but it sounds high to me. It's a straw style with a scarf on it, really cute! It will then be put away safe and sound for next years cruise!!!!!! I'm praying the kids swim shirts still fit next year also, since they would never use them at home for any reason. Also had to buy a couple of Cabo t-shirts of course too LOL.
Tensions are running high here, a clash of the rich lifestyle attitude and the working class. My BIL is a piece of work, and it's been tense. My SIL was chugging a margarita cuz it's so tense. They actually just left to go to dinner and it's 8pm, rather than eat with us, because he thought the meat we were grilling wasn't very good. And he uses the F word constantly around my kids (and his 2 1/2 year old), which bothers us, and he was calling airline employees "monkeys" and "chimpanzees". So nice!
Tomorrow they are treating us to a boat ride for snorkeling and stuff, I sooooooo hope dd and I don't get sick. We've never been on a boat on the sea, and this will NOT be a cruise ship LOL. There was a Carnival ship in port today when we went to town. Its the first cruise ship I've ever seen in person. It was cool!
Oh dear, am I rambling?????????? Sorry, can you tell I've talked to no one but family in 3 days????
We still want to find Sammy Haggars Cabo Wabo in town, and I want to take the kids to the flea market to see the non-rich peoples Mexico. I bought a bobble head turtle for a friend today from a really old lady sitting on a side walk. What a way to live. It was only $1 too, she could have gotten at least $2.
Oh the weather, it is stinkin' hot!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We were dripping today at the flea market. I know it's upper 90's and it's humid most of the time also. It's nice though. Evenings are beautiful. And last nights bed was like heaven compared to that sleeper sofa.
