Waiting for the rope drop so we could ride the Led Zepplin ride in the background.

The iconic guitar in the lagoon. Behind it is the SLippery When Wet ride. It's basically Pteredon Flyers but you can spray the people on the ride and they can shoot you back!

and last but not least..... I have found us the perfect bus to take us ALL to the cruise port!!!! I think we might even all fit with no lap riding!! LOL

to heck with sending my kids to Kristin's for the summer, I am going to send MYSELF to kristin's for the summer! Swimming pools and ice cream! I'm there!!!!!

well, here is our view of The Hard Rock Park...HRP for short.
We left at about 9, got there at 920. They don't even open the parking lot until 930, so we sat, second in line, for 10 mins. Then we pulled into the lot. If you want regular parking it's $10, preferred (first 10 rows maybe) it's $15. Of course, since we were second in line, we choice to hoof it. there is no tram system. Walked up to the ticket booth and was able to get into the "main street" area and waited for the park to officially open. We rode the Led Zepplin ride with no waiting. Matter of fact, ALL the rides were either walk on or wait one turn. the park was pretty empty! We were able to ride all the rides by 1130. we stopped for food and water. Food was a bit steep. A bottle of soda was $3!! We got 2 chicken finger baskets, one with fries and one with onion rings and it was $18.50. We had thought about just sharing some nachos and it was almost $10. Anyway, after that we watched 2 shows and re-rode the Nights in White Satin, The Trip again. That ride is just WEIRD!! LOL It's basically an acid trip! LOL It's inside, in a ride car, with 3-D glasses and there is no theme to it...you just ride through, listening to Nights in White Satin, looking at all this psycodelic stuff. Once we were done with the 2 shows, it was about 215, and it was getting HOT, so we left for the day. BUT aside from not seeing 2 shows yet and the one ride was down for repair, we saw and did it all! Now, HRP is $50/day, WDW is $70/day. For your money, WDW is a bargain! there is just so much more to see and do! I guess if we had not come into the HRP with our commando disney attitude, it might have taken longer to get through. We are going to go back, maybe Thursday night, to see the last of the shows and the lazer/water/fireworks show....and of course, to ride Led Zepplin again. That ride is, to borrow a word from Kristin, is WICKED!!! It twists and turns and goes upside down 6 times!

We came back, showered and went to Cheese Burger in Paradise. It was really good!! Tomorrow we are either going to spend another day on the beach or drive down to Charleston to go to Fort Sumter. Connor just studied this Fort in school the last few weeks, so this is still of interest to him.

I have photos!!!! Here they come!!
Fort Sumter and Patriots Point (if you haven't been already) are well worth the trip. A couple of friends and myself made that same trip from Charleston once. So, how was CBIP?????

Michele........LOVED the pictures!!!!!!!!! it looks totally like something I would love to see and do!!!!!!
btw I liked your acid trip description:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :lmao: too funny girl!!!!!!!

I forgot to mention that it's a DARK ride too! So you're wearing these 3-D glasses, riding in a car, listening to Led, and you are, well, trippin'! LOL Both times we got off the ride the boys said, "That's just wierd"! LOL It really is! the only reason we rode it twice was because it was airconditioned! LOL

Come on over Michele,,,,

Bruce,, so wants to ride the Led Zepplin ride!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It sounds "WICKED!!!!!!!!!!!"

A few weeks ago, Allen posted a photo of Mary's Clematis plant. Mine has FINALLY come into bloom! It's not fully bloomed, but I was afraid if I waited to take the photo when we got home, it wouldn't be as pretty. So, here is our clematis...and it's not even fully bloomed. The small white things are flowers yet to bloom!

Here is Connor with his braces giving me a cheesy grin to send to my mom!

Hey All,

I know Hanna was talking away to her...Too funny. They are just like their mothers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kristin,

We have two more girls that we would consider giving up for the summer. They like soft serve ice cream and pools too, they would fit in perfect!!! And they are good with kids!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Send them over!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Evening all!

My goodness it was a cold and blustery day today! Winds at 20+ with gusts in the 30's.... HIGH of 61. And Sean and I were out at the pond going fishing this morning.... BRRRRRR!

No, he didn't catch anything but leafy pond dragons, lake pond moss snakes, that sort of thing... but it was fun despite the cold!

I just read that there is a snow warning in Oregon on the road we are traveling in a couple of days... expecting 8-10 inches. It is JUNE isn't it? Sheesh! Bizarre weather we are having out here, for sure!!!

Hope tongiht (yeah!!!!) and more fishing tomorrow! He wants to have something preserved somehow... in a jar, or on the wall.... something to show what he caught (assuming he catches anything!). Yikes!

that sounds very fun!!!!!!!!!! :rotfl:

Alright the boys are in bed!!!!!!!!!!
while giving the boys a bath tonight Josh was saying he was itchy on his legs, so we just thought it was his rash coming back.......but the closer we looked at it the more it looked like Chicken Pox!!!!!!!!!!!!! so I told Denis to take Josh to the after hours walk in clinic to make sure it really is that.........he just came home and YES it is!!!!!!!!!!!! :scared1: :scared1:
what am I suppose to do now???????? I have never had this and Denis can't take the time off?????????? oh well :worried:
so am I suppose to disinfect the whole house now too??????? help I don't know what to do???? :)

Oh boy!!! I don't think disinfecting the house will do anything. If you have not had them, and have not been vaccinated, I don't know what to tell you if Denis can't take care of them. It's supposed to be worse for adults than kids. My son had them, but my dd had the shot, so she never did. Good luck, I hope you fare ok or can work something out!!!!

Hi everyone else!!

Michele love the photos, your clematis is gorgeous, I would love one of those, but I'm not sure where to put it. And love the bus, too funny!!!!!!! And the acid trip, interesting ride!
