Good Morning all!!

we did see Phelps win and receive his medal. They were talking about how much he eats in a day! My goodness! I thought MY grocery bill was alot! He consumes about 12,000 calories in A DAY. Breakfast is 3 egg sandwiches, a stack of chocolate chip pancakes, a 7 egg omlet and a bowl of grits, oh and 2 cups of coffee. Like Steve said, if that boy ain't swimming, he's eating! They gave all his dimensions...now don't quote me, but it was something like his feet are a size 14, his legs are that of a man that is 5'9" and his torso is that of a man that is 6'3" and his "wing span"...I forget what they said. But then they went on to say that his is built just perfect for swimming.

Well, I should get my shower and head out. I need to go to Dick's Sporting Goods. I got Connor Under Armour Socks for football on August 1. On Monday, he took off his cleats, and the toe is blown out in one sock! I think they should last more then 2 weeks!! And yes, his nails get cut regularly, so he doesn't have talons to cut through the fabric!

Then I need to go to Walmart, make the salsa and do a bit more straightening up around the abode. Then the neighborhood party starts at 5!

Everyone have fun today!!!

Phelps' food intake......

US swimmer Michael Phelps made history yesterday when he scooped a record-breaking 11th Olympic gold medal. He has now topped the podium five times in Beijing. After his latest victory, he revealed the secret behind his six-days-a-week, five-hours-a-day training regime: an extraordinary 12,000-calorie daily diet, six times the intake of a normal adult male. This is a typical day:

Breakfast

Phelps kick starts his day and his metabolism with three fried-egg sandwiches, but with a few customised additions: cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, fried onions and, of course, mayonnaise.

Amuse-bouche out of the way, he throws back two cups of coffee and sits down to an omelette - containing five eggs - and a bowl of grits, a porridge of coarsely ground corn. He's not finished yet. Bring on the three slices of French toast, with powdered sugar on top to make sure there's no skimping on the calories. And to finish: three chocolate chip pancakes.

Lunch

With breakfast wearing off and the hunger pangs biting, Phelps downs half a kilogram - ie a whole packet - of enriched pasta and two large ham and cheese sandwiches. On white bread with loads of mayo on top. To remove any chance that his body will run out of fuel, he washes this down with about 1,000 calories of energy drink.

Dinner

Time to load up on carbs for the next day's training. Another half kilo of enriched pasta goes down the hatch with a chaser of an entire pizza and another 1,000 calories of energy drinks. And so to bed. As Phelps told US television channel NBC yesterday: "Eat, sleep and swim, that's all I can do."

On that note, I am now hungry! LOL Time to get moving! Have a great day!

Good Morning!

I think I am full before I even sit down to breakfast! LOL! Goodness can that boy EAT!

As for me and my day, I am taking Sean fishing at a CAST for kids event (for special needs kids... taking the kids out on a boat so that they can enjoy the thrill of catching their own fish!). This boy loves loves LOVES fishing, so he is raring to GO! He wants me to catch some too, so I have worms in the fridge and power bait on the kitchen counter... wish us luck! LOL!

Have a LOVELY day all!

Oh, and Michele, you wanted a hint?

You WILL know SOMETHING about Idaho by the time I am done with you all! LOL!

Good Morning everyone. I am doing my best to keep up, but you guys move so fast. The funny thing is, when we make it to the Magic, I'm going to know all of you and you guys aren't going to know me all. I'll try to make it on tonight to chat. Right now I'm off to my Mom's. We are having a family get together today with aunts, uncles, everyone who can make it. It's not really a fun event though. My Mom's sister has cancer and it has progressed to the point that there is nothing more the doctors can do. They have sent her home with just pain medications to keep her as comfortable as possible. Long story short, she has asked us to have this get together so that she can have the opportunity to see everyone again. Our family is spread out over several states: Kentucky, Ohio, Indianna, Virginia, West Virginia. We even have a counsin and her family traveling from Texas today.

I hope everyone has a great day.
