Thanks for the nice welcome here everyone! It will take me a little while to get aquainted with everyone. We are very excited to have the cruise booked.
Unfortunately we had an unexpected very large expense this week, one of my dogs (we have two schnoodles) took ill and had to be hospitalized and have emergency surgery :-( I refused to let that keep me from booking. This is a long awaited trip for my DD. Last one she was 17 and couldn't have fun in the "adult"area of the ship, specifically she just wanted to swim in the adult pool but wasn't allowed too. So we are back so she can experience the adult portion of Disney cruising, LOL. Neither of us like Nassau (we probably won't even disembark) but we just LOVE Castaway Cay How do I find out what level CC member I am?

This is officially the worst day ever. Kids are both sick, I'm sick, going to have to call DD in to school, AGAIN tomorrow and take her to the doctor, and DS won't go to sleep, and now my throat is killing me, on nyquil, and just sitting here in the chair playing on facebook, my ONLY pair of glasses broke. And, to top it all off, they are broke so bad I can't use them, and I can't see without them, and DH is working all night, and DS is STILL awake, with no hope of him going to bed soon, and it's 10p... today sucks.

I don't want to play the "one up you" game because I'm new here and don't want to scare you all off! I'm so sorry you are down in the dumps.
Maybe try to do something extra special for yourself that you enjoy, it'll help you feel better and your worth it!
Suffice it to say that I'm home from work for a couple of days with a dog recuperating from emergency surgery to the tune of $3500....and that's just the tip of the iceberg

Morgan, hope today is going better for you and you and the kids are feeling better.

Ilene, sure hope your doggie is healing up nicely after surgery. I have 2 dogs and they are my little girls and i baby them to death. I am a HUGE dog lover. Both of mine have had lumps removed and thankfully they wernt cancer but one went almost all the way through Pixie's front leg so it took awhile for that one to heal up.
I feel so badly for them because they dont understand why they hurt, they dont like to take medicine to make them feel better and they dont know what to do to make it feel better.


Well today is D Day here. I will get the suitcases packed and ready to go tomorrow for WDW I will have toothbrush type stuff in the morning but thats all. I just wish this cold would get better. This morning it was nasty. Of course I hadnt taken any meds for it yet.

Kathy, you better take lots of pictures. I haven't been to WDW during Christmas in a long time...I miss is so much. Actually, it's been so long I have never seen that castle lit up with all the sparkly lights. Maybe next year we could pull off a Disneyland trip to at least get my fill.

I am sure once you hit that sunny warm Florida weather you will start to feel better. Have a safe flight.

We always take tons of pictures and since we have a new camera Greg will want to try it on all lighting and every situation you can think of. I bet we will have 500 photos by the time we get back Maybe more!!

We are staying at Pop Century. Never stayed there before and it looks so upbeat and fun. Got preferred room in the section closest to the food court, cant remember what year it is themed for. But it will be less walking when we are tired so worth the few extra dollars for it.

All our rooms have been the farthest away from the main building in the past.
So we splurged this time.

We often stay at Pop Century before our DVC ressies or after so we don't spend points on the expensive weekends. Pop is fun and you made a good choice with opting for the closer building. Have a terrific time. My DD and her BF are going down on the 12 & 13th and are staying at SSR. They were hoping for VWL but it didn't come through the waitlist. I'm sure they'll have fun wherever they are. DD is an airtraffic controller and is just coming back from OK city from 6 weeks of additional training. She asked for the two days in WDW as her hanukkah gift from us That was easy!

We are Pop fans too. It's actually DH's favorite hotel. Although I don't know if he will feel that way once he finds out they don't have slurpees anymore . That is where we are planning to stay before this cruise. We also LOVE the food court, I think it's even better then the Moderate resorts.

Kathy you will really like Pop....Sue and I went there a few years ago and that was my first time there...I really loved it....I was a huge fan of Port Orleans (riverside, and still am....I love the grounds) but I have to say athe food court at Pop was a lot better. Have a great time and cant wait to see all your pics

Just doing my part to keep us bumped up.

Should be an interesting next couple of months. I have been lent out to the Federal Gov't for a few months so I don't know what type of computer access I will have to the Disboards and Facebook...I am thinking none I will try to KIT before and after work. I am excited to be doing and learning something different but not happy about giving up my 4 day work week. The most it will be is for 5 months but they told me it shouldn't last longer then Feb.

PS: It's still cold here 38º this morning.
