Hey everyone!!:goodvibes Hope you are all well!

I need some help from the braintrust!:worship: We are going to WDW in November and one of the side trips we are making is out to the Kennedy Space Center. Does anyone have any recommendations for restaurants out there???

Any thoughts, or ideas would be greatly appreciated!!!

Kristen

Hello. Actually Jen (nenner1) does the trip reports. I guess you can say I helped by being on the trips with her. :goodvibes ...and sometimes I have to help her recall what we had for dinner. You can always count on me to never forget that. ;)

Same as you. We are a little ways down the hall from you. 6132 and 6133. :thumbsup2 We should now be facing the Key West sunset, however that may not actually be the best vantage afterall (fantasy fest) depending on your point of view.;) Hopefully during the day it won't be too crazy to go into town with the kiddos.

I've never been to Key West during FantasyFest, but I've heard stories. It is similar to mardi gras. At night it is a very adult place to be. Some people will walk around wearing nothing but body paint and sometimes even without body paint. It is definitely R rated sometimes XXX rated. I'm not sure what type of activities will occur while we are in port.:confused3 We will be there the last day of Fantasy Fest. I'm not sure what to expect during the day, my guess is that it shouldn't get bad until the sun goes down and we'll have left the port by then or shortly after. I believe Saturday night is actually the raunchiest and we are there on Sunday. If you are up to it just do an internet search of "key west fantasy fest photos", but be prepared for some possibly offensive material.:rolleyes1

Welcome aboard you guys. Can I assume that Jen and Ron and Lynn and Mike are traveling together or do you just happen to know each other? Jen, I love the name Savannah and we have a Sara (no h), but she's about a little older, by about 25 years :lmao: Right now she and her brother are planning on joining us. I'll also be celebrating a birthday on board, it'll be the first time we'll actually be on board during a birthday/anniversary.

Re KSC (I almost wrote KFC :rotfl: ) There are some really nice restaurants in Port Canaveral that aren't too far from the Cape. You may want to check them out.

Welllllll....I guess you could just say we are "guilty by association"...LMAO:rotfl2: It's a long story. ;)

Basically we were both booked on a different cruise and we both just decided to move to this one, separately (but at the same time).

I will give credit where credit is due and say Lynn gave us the idea. We have cruised in Sept/Oct for 2 years in a row now (our cruise this year is in Jan instead) but for some reason we never really thought much about cruising on Halloween...:confused3 Then when she mentioned she might change we started to think about it and realized how much fun it could be..made the "mistake" of mentioning it to the kids to see what they thought, and it just took off. We have already done a Western and I will admit the thought of the Halloween activities did really make me that much more excited for the cruise-kindof makes it seem like it could be a whole new experience. We had also planned all along to go to MNSSHP before the cruise so now the cruise itself will extend that theme which sounds awesome!

I'll also be celebrating a birthday on board, it'll be the first time we'll actually be on board during a birthday/anniversary.

That sounds great!

I haven't had a chance to catch up on the whole thread yet but I will by the end of the week.

Knewton I am glad you enjoyed the trip report...I expect I will do one for this cruise too. I hope I can get them done quicker in the future but my track record on that ain't all that great...:rolleyes1

Re: Fantasy Fest, I am actually hoping we are there they day they throw the street fair thing. I'm guessing it is basically like an open air market with booths where you can buy crafts, get henna tattoos, hair wraps, beer booths, that sort of thing. We were there years ago when they had a street fair like that going on for a different event and it was pretty fun.
The FF festivities do put a different spin on things for KW planning but I guess we don't have to worry about some things...like sunset being boring or the Kino store being closed...:rotfl2:

Oh that is cool on both counts!!!!!

COOLNESSS, glad i was able to help you OUT!!!!!

The Halloween Cruise is cool. The Trick or Treating is Fun. And we had a TOT DIS style too which gave us an extra something to do on a sea day (so if any one needs help or needs ideas). THen there is the HALLOWEEN PARTY, which is on a sea day too you sort of trick or treat your way to the party!

Andthe characters are dressed up like at MNSSHP.

We will probablly go to MNSSHP before the cruise too, it is what we did last time so FUN FUN!!!!
