I was wondering if anyone has gone to the water parks towards the end of October/beg of Nov? I'm thinking about a quick trip down for a long weekend around Halloween & wanted to know if it was still warm enough. I've got two days left on a five day pass that expires in December & that seems to be the only time we can head down.

Work has kept me busy, as it the summer schedule for my DD! We are going to the Jonas Brothers concert next Tuesdsay in NJ................ It should be good and loud with all the screaming girls!

I'll give you a report next week - as long as I can still hear!

Just bumping us back to page one! What's everyone up to this weekend? Not much planned with us. I'm just going through the kids closets and school supplies to see what they need. They start school in one month.

We were there end of October last year and its was very cool. We would not even consider going to the water parks. The fall and winter is very unpredictable. We were there this past Jan and it was 80 every day. The week before was in the low 60's. We bring out suits and hope for the best.

Daily average temp for Oct is 75 and Nov is 66.

So I am back from WDW and I am exhasted. So now I need to focus on these cruises and getting things planned and in place. But for today I also have laundry to complete and need to perpare myself to return back to work. See everyone soon. Lois

It was Disney we had a great time. It was not without it's issues as we were traveling with two teens ages 15 and 13. Next trip is adults only!!!

The reason I am asking is I am on the go a lot (hey...I even have a pre-trip report already up & going) - but would like to meet all of u during the cruise.

I see you will be visiting Philly as part of your ABD. What things do they have planned for you? We are from Philly if you have any questions. Hoping to do the ABD to Peru in 2012.

There will be a meet and greet, not sure if the coordinator worked out the details yet. I am heading one on NCL in November. NCL actually sets up a meeting time for you with snacks and juices. The ships officers actually come and speak and answer questions. I wonder if DCL would do this since the group has grown so much.

Long time, no talk!!! I can't believe it has been since April that I have posted?!@#!?**! Where does the time go? I guess it's good, in a way, that time is passing so quickly: it means we are getting closer to cruising date!!

Things are really heating up here in the south (and I do mean SOUTH) of Texas. Every day it has been 100-110 degrees outside for weeks now!! It's easy to suffer from a heat stroke just going from the house to the car! Hahahaha

We have been ssssoooo busy at the hospital....babies, babies, babies everywhere! I am a labor and delivery nurse and we are doing between 700-750 deliveries EACH MONTH! And that is just one hospital here in the valley...there are 2 others (just in my city alone) that are ranging from 400-500 deliveries each month!

We are still hanging to the hope that we will be able to cruise on this date without problems! We desperately want to do WDW for one week prior to cruising and the MNSSHP! We have been to WDW on Christmas, but never for Halloween! I resent the truancy law here in Texas! It really punishes those that really do stick to the attendance rules yet wish to take a vacation on non school break times! If we are forced to change the date to either Christmas or spring break, it more than triples the cost!

I hope everyone has sailed through the "swine flu" crisis with ease. We have had thousands of cases of +Type A influenza here in the valley and a couple of deaths from the actual swine flu. It doesn't surprise me, being so close to the Mexico border. And the border laws are a JOKE!!! Anybody and anything can cross the border without question...we have seen it first hand! Many of my friends and co workers go to Mexico on a weekly and/or daily basis with no passport and have no difficulty crossing either way! (so much for the new passport laws, right??)

Well, time to get ready for yet another glorious night of the "miracle of birth" I hope everyone has a really great weekend!!

Hi! We rebooked for this cruise on the Nov 1st western last month- it was our first Disney cruise, and we LOVED it (big surprise!). We're in Cabin #6058, Myself (Ellen), DH & DS13 & DS11. I know of 2 other Dissers (from our 11/1)who rebooked onto this cruise, too. Looking forward to meeting you all!

No interim cruise for us. We just got back from 8 days at WDW. I'm trying to keep myself busy by checking out our excursion options. I'm an obsessive planner.

.......yes - I am inching closer to my ABD vacation as it is really beginning to take shape. Finally got the gaps filled in on what to do with my evening for day two while in Philly (I am a solo traveler and am on the go a lot).
I have a feeling that I will receive my ABD backpack (all my travel docs, etc) in about a week. - Updates will follow on my ABD trip report .

Well, you can take my family off of the roll call. I just got a job with our local school district, so I can't cruise in October due to the work schedule. The good news is that we are moving our cruise up to March 2010. It will be with Carnival's new ship, Dream. I hope you all have a great time in October 2010 though!

Same here! It was a pleasant surprise to find another Kansas Citian on board. I hope our paths will cross too. Maybe at WDW sometime...

I do feel very fortunate to have found a job. The hours are perfect and I will still be able to pick up the kids from school every day. Plus, I get Christmas, Spring break and summer vacations at home with them!

Oh, gometros! They named another new ship the Magic...
