Hey everyone, Can't wait!!!

First Family Cruise - Me and Wife Celebrating 20 years of a great Marriage - My Two Daughters will be 16, One in August 2010 - the other October 2011 and both wanted a cruise instead of Parties.... At least We will have 7 days of enjoyment not 5 hours LOL.. The girls made the decision what cruise line after weeks of research with no interference from us parents. They came back and decided on DISNEY because their (18 month old Sister at the time last November) loves Mickey Mouse. The baby will 27 months old when we go.

We are flying in the day before staying at Port Orleans...

See you all on board..
Welcome aboard Sarge! Your girls picked a great cruise. I am sure you will have a great time. That is so sweet of your girls to think of their baby sister.

Another Question of the Day, but this one is for the ladies

What style outfit do you plan to wear for Formal Night?
Summer Shopping season is upon us here and the sales will start before mid summer to make room for the fall winter items.

Do any of you plan to wear floor lenght gowns? Cocktail style dress, or a dressy pant suit? I'm not too much into dresses anymore, and thus have NO dresses in my closet ect. for a beach dress. I dont' know what to buy! But I'll have fun doing it! :)

I know I am a day behind but...I have several dressy pants outfits to choose from or a dressy dress, but not full length. Just not my style, but I always admire so many of the beautiful dresses the other ladies wear.

Welcome aboard. This is a great group of people. One note, because I am a "planner" and I don't like to see anyone miss out. The group realzed the port loads will be high at Cozumel and Grand Caymen. Many of us decided to book a private beach break on Cozumel - Nachi Cocom - to avoid the potential crowds. This private beach has a limit of 100 and we already book about 60+ slots so if your interested check it out. There will be plenty of DISers at the beach.

Oh, by the way, the package includes an open bar. :thumbsup2

Welcome Sarge! I was so touched by your eldest daughters. How thoughtful they are, I am sure they will thoroughly enjoy themselves too. Our eldest will be 11 on the cruise, 8 years older than her sister, and I love how she looks out for her in such an unselfish way. We look forward to cruising with your family :goodvibes

Hi all,

I just submitted our reservation request for Nachi Cocom, so hopefully we will be there too. It will be DH and I and it will be his birthday. His parents may be coming too - so long as there is still room for us! I'll let ya know if we will be joining everyone

Hi All!

DW & I just got back from a 7-Night on the Carnival Legend and had a blast. This cruise didn't go to Key West or Castaway Cay (obviously), but we did go to Grand Cayman and Cozumel. It also went to Isla Roatan (the Carnival version of Castaway Cay) and Belize. In Cozumel we did an ATV excursion (). It was both our first times on an ATV, and I don't think either of us will be rushing back to one. I did enjoy the trek through the jungle more than DW did. There were a few stops along the way on the ride where they pointed out Mayan ruins. When we go to Cozumel for this trip, we're planning on going to Nachi Cocom and trying that this time around.

In Grand Cayman, we had a much more relaxed excursion. We took the bus tour of the Island with trips to the turtle farm, Hell, and the Tortuga Rum Cake factory. It was a very nice tour and well organized, but when we go back to Grand Cayman on this cruise, we'll just explore the island on our own. There was a very nice shopping district right where the tenders dropped us off, and past that there were several other shops. In Isla Roatan, we just walked around the shopping area on our own, then went to the beach. The drawback of Isla Roatan is that the food there isn't part of the whole cruise experience like it is on Castaway Cay.

Our final excursion was in Belize. We went on a guided tour of Altun Ha (Mayan ruins) and a river tour by speed boat. That was our favorite excursion by far.

If we end up being able to do Nachi Cocom, we'll inform the leader of the Nachi sign-up list.

Hey everyone! I feel like I've been gone forever even thought it was only a few days! Whew! Recitals are over and after Nationals in a few weeks I can breathe a sigh of relief and relax and focus on CRUISING for a while. Our Nationals this year are being held at WDW (Swalphin) and I've not yet had occasion to be over on property and NOT attending the parks. Don't know how well I'll handle that (LOL it *is* 4th of July week so knowing crowds will be stupid busy might help me out a bit) :rolleyes1

:welcome: to Sarge and family! Happy to have you sailing with us!

Great to see those FE and Capt. Marvins/Nachi lists growing! :thumbsup2

Hi All!

Glad to hear you had a great time! How busy did the ports seem when you were there? Were there lots of other ships with you?

Yep, I LOVE Cayman!!! No sales pressure or annoying hawkers! Did you know on the roof of Maragritaville right there on the main road there is a really nice swimming pool and hot tub with a two story slide? It is free for customers. So anyone just cruising around shopping, should stop by for a drink and maybe a swim! It is great! I have some pics somewhere...:

Sounds like a wonderful time!!! I look forward to going to Belize someday too!

Back to the grind tonight. UGH. I've been off for four days but it sure doesn't feel like it! ;)

When we were in Grand Cayman, there were quite a few other ships...like 2 other Carnival ships and a Princess ship. In Cozumel, I think there was one other ship right where we were, and at least one other ship near by (shared a bus for the ATV excursion with another group doing a different excursion in the same area). In Beliez & Honduras, I noticed no other ships in port near us

We've thought about doing the ATV excursion (we aren't this time though). Was it really rough terrain?

The trail was a bit choppy at times, experienced and non-experienced riders probably wouldn't have a problem with the trails, but DW was too busy hanging on for dear life to have fun. I could feel her nervousness, so it made the time a bit less enjoyable for myself, too. I'm sweet like that.

After the Island Tour, we walked around the shopping area near the tenders and the main drag right outside the port. Yes, we saw the pool on Margaritaville's roof, but I didn't know about it prior to going up when they said that there were free shots at the bar. I didn't even get the free shot...the DJ was also the one pouring the shots into the mouths of the patrons, and the song was ending right as I made it upstairs. Oh well...maybe next time.

I've been off for four days but it sure doesn't feel like it! ;)

Today is my 2nd day back to work after the cruise, and I already feel like I need another trip. Good thing we have a few microtrips to WDW planned between now and the cruise. One of the many benifits of being so close to Mickey's house :)

With the addition of 2 adults (TiffanyD and schimj) we are now a Magic Party of 66 at Nachi. 38 adults and 28 kids (14 boys and 14 girls). Anyone else interested in joining us?:cool2::cool2::cool2::cool2::cool2:

We are all booked for Captain Marvin's. 8 of us getting in the boat, not sure how many will be getting into the water though! DD is terrified of the stingrays despite the number of videos we have watched on Youtube! And Ds-i-l won't be getting in, but I certainly will. So excited!

BBBRRRRRRR, I just finished editing our New Years Day Video. Man, just watching it is making me CCCCOOOOLLLLLDDDD!
Thought some of you might enjoy it: :)

Fabulous video! Although very weird watching on a warm summers day here!

Do you mind me asking about your editing software - what is it and is it easy to use? I have some but they are so complicated, they just sit in the drawer. I just want something to easily cut and merge scenes and add music, that's it.

Windows Movie Maker! Everytime I think of getting a new software program, I discover that Windows Movie maker can do what I was needing the new software for. There are a few things it can't do, like have a character added to fly across the video, and some other things. So eventually I'll find something else thats easy to use, but for now, the Movie Maker is the easiest.:)
